My wife and I took our 🚴 on the plane earlier this year to Seoul and loved it.
    We want to go back.
    Thanks for the post.

    • I didn't neg you.

I take it you did a bit of Seoul searching?

    • didn't think of seoul has a bike-friendly city. where did you ride?

      • +3

Korea has great cycling infrastructure from Seoul Han river down to busan and more . Almost all cycle path

      • +1

Actually Korea has the longest paved 🚴 trail in the 🌏, 633 km from Seoul to Buscan, which is the trail we 🚴
The locals are so friendly and it's the safest I've felt anywhere I've been in the 🌏…except Antarctica 😎
The 🚴 infrastructure is the best I've seen in the 🌏, including Antarctica 🤪
Canadians we met said it's much better than 🚴 through Europe.

Cheaper than going to HK directly.

And I paid $473 on Jetstar PER - MEL the other day. Makes me sick the amount of gouging that happens in Australia.

    • Not gouging, Melbourne to Perth is one of the most full routes across Australia. Sure a lack of competition is to blame but Jetstar will fill every single one of those seats.

Supply and demand, solution? Add competition except that Australia cant sustain a third airline

      • +1

I would say overcharging people because you can is gouging.

        • Pssst, if we say we dont, we aernt - Qantas

    • one way or return?

      • One way my friend. Couldn’t afford return. Currently walking.

  • These flights are cheap fr fr

Anyone have experience using mytrip to book airlines tiket? Thanks

    • I'd like to know this too. They always pop up…

They have an average 1.1 star rating on Productreview…

I say do it, and let us know how the horrific impending disaster unfolds!

  • “Credit status and points earned to Qantas Frequent Flyer”
You might want to check this. I don’t think discount economy on Cathay will earn you status credits or points with Qantas.

    • Can confirm they don't credit it to QFF from my exp. It really depends on the fare class, although at this price it's almost a guarantee that they won't.

      • The light economy fares has the booking class N and Q. Do these earn any QFF points? Or should I let it earn Asia Miles?

        • Nothing for QFF….so credit to Asia miles

I booked a trip from Syd to Seoul and was informed about the flight change at apx 10pm the previous night for the next day flight at 7am. The worst thing was they changed my connection flight with 18 hours layover (nigh time). It took almost 2 hrs to negotiate with customer services at late night to get the shorter layover but still missed my first day at Seoul hotel. Be careful with the short layover with Cathay, your flight has the high chance to be delayed. And no support from agency- trip.

is this booking via trip.com? :O

Book direct with the airline for far less drama when things don't go to plan

You don't get blanket if you call it carpet.

    fr fr bussin 💯🔥

  • Will it be the same price if Hong Kong is a stopover instead of a layover? Thinking maybe a night or two

    • I was thinking the same thing :) tune in.

    • Yes with Cathy it's same price. Enter your itinerary as a multi-trip.

  • Just don't complain if the person in front reclines his/her seat.

  • Could you stop at HK for a period?

  • Return to Seoul sounds like a Korean zombie horror film

    • +1

only if you take the train to Busan

  • I've lived in Seoul for 10 years, if you haven't been, I highly encourage you to!

  • I ended up pay for $1588 for 2 tickets between 13-26 November. I could have paid $75 less with MyTrip if only I still have 28 Degrees Mastercard. All of my other cards are not Mastercard unfortunately. I don't know how it's suggested $735 but I paid $794 per person, but I guess it's ok.

Now, the itinerary - any suggestion? I'm thinking the soonest on landing to take train to Busan for 5-6 days before returning back to Seoul.

Sorry to add - Air Asia X actually cheaper to use at $550 per person of similar but slightly longer flights but checked baggage is extra at around $120/20kg per person per trip.
