    • Its definitely for eBay Plus, but not sure.

The Voucher entitles you to $20 off the pre-coupon purchase price when you spend $100 or more

    Hmm

    • +5

      Ewwww didn’t read that part

      • ah!

      • +7

cos it's not in the email. They hide the min. spend clause - you only realise when you click out of the email. Only 30 days to spend it too. It's their typical evil way.

    I got nothing !!!

  • thanks OP, email was already deleted and wouldn't have seen it if not for this post.

    • Offer not that good, voucher is only for $20 off $100 spend, I missed that part

      • 20% discount on whatever you want on eBay that’s over $100? How is that not good?

        • when I posted it i thought it was a $20 voucher for spending $20, due to the smartly worded misleading header in email, $20 off $100 is still fine if you are looking to spend $20 anyway during 17-19sept & at the time you can use the $20/$100 there is no other discount coupons available (which there usually is)

    • same :D thanks

  • +2

Not so great deal as the $20 voucher has minimum spend $100 condition to use

  • is it ok to pay by gift card?

  • So spend $120+ in 2 transactions, get $20 off. Maximum discount is ~16.6%. This is worse than a regular 20-22% off promo.

    • +1

Except it's a voucher so you should be able to use the $20 off in addition to any other promo (e.g. 20% off).
So theoretically you could get a $120 item for $80 [($120-$20)*.8]. So a total outlay of $100 ($80+$20) for $140 of 'value' ($120+$20) which is around ~29% off.

      I think that's right?

      • Says $20 off the pre-coupon price

        • Yes, so you add a $120 item to cart, the $20 off comes off that first to make the total $100, and then apply 20% coupon to that total (not the full; $120) to get $80.
Unless that end total still needs to be above $100 (I don't think it does), but then it would need to be a $145 item for $100. So $120 outlay for $165 value = ~27% off.

I got excited when I got the email, only to realise the $100 spend.

  • Any good deals using this?

  • I got "Spend $600 and get a $50 voucher"….but the voucher is on a $250 minimum spend

    • lucky fella

  • +1

I got jack and shit, and jack just left town.

  • I am not ebay plus but I got email……….what does it mean?

    • It means joining ebay plus is unnecessary… :D

  • +3

These coupons suck and in my experience usually don't stack, so usually worse than a normal 15-20% off a normal deal. I have fallen for this before. Can't be bothered having to read the fine print every time.

    • So true! If it wasn't for the reason of free shipping, ebayPlus is not longer like before. Not to mention the coupons won't stack, even the 15~20% off is usually after the normal price has been jacked up…

    • I suppose they'd be ok if you wanna buy something that isn't already on a % off deal.

I don't remember ever getting one.

    Spend $20 and Receive a $20 off $100 ?

    In total , you spend $100($20+$80) for $100. what's the deal ???????

    • -2

Hahaha I was about to say the same. Why not just spend the OG $20 on the $100+ item? It's the same end result.

Now if it was a $40 voucher.. much different

      • If you're spending the absolute minimum, the end result is you spending $100 on $120 worth of items.
        Saving you 16.6%

    • +1

You forgot the initial $20 value so it’s $100 spend for $120 in purchases

    • +1

      what's the deal ???????

Better than the monthly pitiful $5.00 off* your purchase of AU $50.00 (that used to be $25) I suppose

Also your maths is a bit off.

    • Maths is not your strong suit huh.

    • +1

The math is not hard, but you got it wrong.

In total you spend $100 sure but you got $120 worth of stuff with that $100…
