Pretty good price for the Breville Barista Pro.
Not cheapest all time by any means but I wanted a coffee machine so I bit the bullet.
I managed to price match at JB HiFi to use gift cards.

Betta electrical price match and say they have a $100 cashback. Wonder if that would work out better? https://www.betta.com.au/breville-the-barista-pro-manual-esp…
Can anyone share how to get 19g of beans into this double shot basket without using a ""collar"" or some other extra equipment?
It comes with a dosing funnel
Yes, I reckon "dosing funnel" was what I meant by a "collar" you can put on top of the portafilter.
My Barista Pro did not come with that funnel.
I had to buy one aftermarket and considering how tall the 19g heap of ground beans is I cant imagine not using one.
(It's different with different beans)
Whoops, didn't see this. I bought a barista Pro in July and it definitely came with one, they started doing this in the last year or 2
One way to achieve dosing control is, weight 19g of beans first before putting the beans into the built-in grinder.
Effectively, you are single-dosing the grinder to control output.
I've never got more than 18g in my bambino basket, which is the same basket size as I can't fit my dosing funnel into the super jolly fork
Go with 18 in, 36 out. 19 too much.
wow, embarrassing I didn't think of this. I was just stuck with a recommendation I got at the start 🫣
Price is back up to $875
Thanks, I got good guys to price match this over the phone. Been waiting for this price for a while.
