The Aussie MasterCard has a special offer of 0% p.a. on purchases for the 1st 6 months. Once this special offer is over the Aussie MasterCard reverts to a great low rate of 11.99% p.a. on purchases which is currently lower than the standard interest rate on purchases of consumer credit cards of the big four banks.
The only way to enjoy the 0% interest is to put yourself more in debt, so no thanks. Maybe someone can work out how much you need to spend (instead of paying them off each month from your saving account) to make this deal worthwhile (i.e. to cover the annual fee)…
Agreed. All these promotions are designed to get people into debt and when the interest kicks it's money down the tubes. Stay clear and spend within your means. You don't need interest free if you pay your statements on time.

It is common for Australian Credit cards to entice new business using low (or low) introductory rates. This really isn't a bargain.
