What else is essential

I don't care whether it's a bad timing, bad process or whatever. If it was me who ordered something and had it cancelled for no obvious reasons, that is stupid and that makes this deal a joke. Cancelling orders on suspicion of fraud without checking is a joke as well.

So you are saying that you don’t care and would rather have your Everyday Market account being hacked instead?
Fair fair each to their own

@BargainsGrabber: What a dumb comment. So what do you think they are using as the criteria to determine whether something looks fraudulent? They don't have to cancel the order. They could just put it on hold until they can investigate.
I'm personally sick of you protecting this deal when it was a joke to begin with when they changed the cap twice.

Geez mate, who says I’m protecting the deal, if you can’t even read the comments that I have posted so far? I was merely helping you but now it has turned into a personal attack by you

I have no issues with people negging the deal if they are experiencing problems

I have openly agreed for you all to neg the deal for all I care. I am really frankly tired of trying to be helpful to you. If you have problems with your order, go profanity and sort it out yourself as I’m just a middleman after all

        • Have you asked them why it's cancelled?

          • -2

@Clear: No, I'm currently on holiday and not really my problem. All did was pass on the details about this deal as a family member was looking to buy one for their daughter's birthday.

  • I received a call (missed it) and an email from Woolworths requesting a response to their 'random security check.' Once I replied, they immediately processed my order for fulfilment.

Great deal. 2 transactions, both tracked after about 30 minutes.

Bonus rewards points were credited today, and one of the 2 orders has already shipped. Thanks so much!

My cashback hasn't tracked yet. Anyone else on the same boat?

    • Same boat.

      Comon woolies… It's just $84 cb.

I'm not feeling good about this.

Currently enjoying my 38% off RRP Macbook Pro ❤️❤️

Thanks BG for this amazing deal (and for buying the MB for me 😉)

    • Wellll you did transfer me back so 😂

  • One of my items arrived slightly damaged. If I return it will it void the entire cashback on the order or just the individual item?

    • Maybe just exchange?

      • Yeah good call. So exchanging shouldn't affect the cashback? Thanks for the response

        • +1

Did one with Cashrewards, which was fine.

        • Some places don't do exchanges for online purchases. It's a refund and new order. Fingers crossed!

Just note the conditions on Topcashback under "Good to know" cashback terms and conditions:

"If you cancel / return / exchange / modify your completed order, it will no longer be eligible for cashback and will be declined in your account."

Anyone have any experience with the timeframe for purchases that didn't track? Mine still hasn't tracked and can't lodge a missing claim until tomorrow, it says it can take months for the store to respond.

The prices were only good because of the cashback so like most I wouldn't have purchased viela everyday market without the cashback but as far as I can tell the cashback being rejected wouldn't be classified as a reason to return outside of the 30 day return period.

If I don't get a response in time I will lodge a return request, it's just a minor annoyance. But curious about the response timeframe others have had previously as I don't really agree that you have to wait 7 days to submit and it can take months to get a response and if it gets rejected you are out of luck.

Full disclosure - I only purchase if I was going to purchase anyway and the cashback is a nice bonus or if I have the return option like here.

    • Same boat again.

      Any comment on these cases?

      Sorry to bother but @tightarse

        @terriblebargainer @solacens

No bother at all. Woolworths EM is fairly new in the cashback space so it's difficult to gauge a perception on time required for them to investigate claims as we really don't yet have history to fall back on. What I can tell you is it won't be quick as most retailers take 2-3 months so unless they have something different in place, this will likely be the case for them too. Sorry to hear your tracking failed, and hopefully Woolies do the right thing by you. Please know I'm here to assist should things go south. Hope this helps. All the best.

          @tightarse
Thanks for the reply. I feel for you as the retailers lack of urgency on these must make it difficult for topcashback being the middle man.

I will see what happens, the items are not critical so returning them is more of an annoyance. But i wonder what sort of consumer protection there is on these sort of offers as i am sure there are people out there doing it tough using these sorts of things to make every $ count and you seem to left at the mercy of the retailer with no options if they reject the claim.

Luckily for me if i don't get a cashback approved it is not the end of the world, i just like to save where i can. I had thegoodguys reject a cashback despite having the instructions open on a 2nd screen to make sure i followed them exactly, it wasnt through topcashback, and when i lodged a missing claim it came back as being rejected because "instructions were not followed", which was absolute rubbish so i asked for more info on why and the response was sorry the retailer is just saying rejected because i didn't follow the instructions and they won't specify what was done incorrectly. I was purchasing the item anyway so the cashback was just a bonus but it just seems like customers are at the mercy of the retailer and there is no recourse to them rejecting claims just because they don't want to pay.

          • @terriblebargainer: You hit the nail on the head. Once the cashback hasn’t tracked, you are at the stores mercy to approve it sometimes 2-3 months down the track, after the return window has closed of course.

My advice is to just always return the item, and buy again another time. It is the easiest way.

I’ve had cashback rejected by stores countless times with the most made up / BS reasoning possible. Save yourself the heartache, and just return it.

        • @tightarse
Will be returning my items but just as an FYI I raised a ticket with everyday market to find out about the return policy and cashback. As expected no extension despite the pending cashback.

I explained to them at least twice that the cashback is pending their confirmation but after 3 weeks they are basically throwing topcashback under the bus.

"I have confirmed with our operations team that cashback providers operates independently and have their own policy and procedures.

All queries about cashbacks should be directed to them."

Pretty poor from them and topcashback that everyone blames everyone else and customers are expected to wait 3 months to potentially have the cashback rejected and no recourse.

Order of a Kobo Elipsa for a wedding anniversary was a fail. Ordered and got a 'tracking number' from SuperOffice

ETA was Tue, 17 Sept - Mon, 23 Sept so I wasn't concerned yet. No movement or order update (besides preparing order), so I contacted Woolies EM on the 19th and they said they would ask the seller. Apparently SuperOffice replied with this (today, on the 26th):

We’ve been advise freight is being returned being damaged in transit. Could you please kindly assist in processing refund for order EMxxxxxxx.

Tracking from AP indicated it never even got picked up.

    Ready for processing
Shipping information approved by Australia Post
    Wed 11 Sep, 4.17pm1
Thats the last of it. Next update would be picked up but greyed out so it never got there.

That was annoying enough, but the icing on the cake was the following line in the Woolies response (capitals are their own punctuation):

YOUR TICKET IS NOW CONSIDERED AS CLOSED AND ANY REPLIES WILL NOT BE SEEN.

    • Hope you are not losing too much.

  • I checked my TopCashback account this arvo and saw that my cashback was approved for payment at a $200.00 cap - this is despite me placing the order at 10:54am, at which time the cap was $700.00

My transaction was $853.87, so my cashback should be $298.85. I'm not necessarily blaming TopCashback for this - Woolworths were chopping and changing the cashback rates which caused a lot of confusion - but I guess this is my opportunity to test TopCashback's customer service..

    • At least you got $200 which is better than my never-tracked $0.

Still TCB is doing really bad at this campaign which they should advise their partner with the chance being ozbargained.

    • TA fixed it for me :)

  • Update: TCB did confirm my $86 cashback. Great job!
