          • @solacens: I also had this issue with The Gamesmen where it didn't track. You get tree returns for 30 days, so if it doesn't come through, definitely send it back!

          • @solacens: Somehow it is not either cancelled or tracked. Will be asking for help if nothing shows up after a week.

            Finger crossed.

      • +1

About 8:45. Tracked in about 45 mins

  • +1

AirPods Pro, anyone? Not bad with the 35%

  • +3

Just pulled the trigger for this good deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/864421
Dunno why it's marked as expired since it's still active.
Now waiting for the tracking …

  • Tracking came through fine, estimated payable is showing 12 weeks 🥲

New to cashback, is that accurate? not too keen to wait 3 months for my cashback.

    • +1

Yeah that's pretty standard, same with CashRewards

    • +1

CB varies by vendor. 3 months is not unheard of. And then there’s a chance CB doesn’t get paid out. So treat it as a plus if it does, and not the other way around.

    • +1

@radiantsmurf This is the same with all the cashback providers including ShopBack and Cashrewards. They wait for the retailers to approve the transactions which can take up to 3 months.

      • +1

        fair enough, thanks yall

    • Yes, you will be waiting 3 months for your cashback

  • +2

Poor form changing the cap multiple times.

    • +5

Its Woolworths decision, not TCB. Regardless $200 cap on a 35% cashback is still very good.

      • -1

Nah not that good anymore forget it. Cashback will take ages

      • +2

I don't care whos decision it is, it's poor form. I'm not blaming TCB. Just providing feedback that hopefully TCB can share with Woolworths.

  • +7

Haha typical get baited by Gamesmen and they cancel because they hate to see you get a bargain. Now my Top account is stuck with a tracked amount over the cap and I can't buy anymore.

Always Gamesmen, I knew it was bad news.

    • How crap is that. Was gonna buy a Series X from them.

Did they give a reason for cancellation?

      • They said out of stock but it's bullshit because I bought very early. Also I've seen them behave like this from Ebay.

Up to you if you want to risk it.

        • Thanks mate. Was it a Series X you went for?

Yeah I don’t really get why they wouldn’t honor it, I wouldn’t have thought they’d be wearing the 35% anyway so what difference does it make to them…

          • @Democracy Manifest: They're a vendor selling on multiple market places (ebay, amazon, kogan/dick smith, big w, catch, this and whatever else?) and they have a physical store front to boot. Stock issues between all the platforms shouldn't be all that surprising, even for bigger businesses. Same applies for wireless1 and whoever else is trying to balance all this stuff.

Now cancelling on just good deals direct is another thing altogether but I'd be willing to give them the benefit of the doubt here.

    • I was thinking that it was only me. Gamesman cancelled my PS5 order earlier this year! -_-

    • -2

Stuff gamesmen I rather buy from playasia rather than dealing with that mob

  • cash back tracked

NLR GT lite pro for $360 🥲

  • +1

Shouldn't this deal have been expired 2 revisions ago and reposted with new caps?

    Start with no cap
    Then reduced to $700 cap
    Now $200 cap

    • +6

Isn’t it better to just have one thread though, easier to keep track of the new comments, learn from other people’s experiences/tips.

    • That's one way to do it but this works better IMO

  • No tracking yet. Ordered before 11am, should I be concerned?

  • +1

Wtf? Dropped the cap for the second time? What a joke.

    • Take some responsibility for your deals.

      Ummm ok…
You do realise that message sounds like you’re directing it to me even though I know you may be directing it towards TA.

Either way, TA is just a representative, just like how you’re an employee for Big W. It’s all dependent on Woolworths and TopCashback and why should TA take responsibility for it?

    • +13

If I can’t say it’s out of our control, what exactly would you like me to say? I can lie, and I can make up stories. But because we’ve chosen to be forthcoming, we’re lambasted for it. Not sure we’ll ever make everyone happy all the time unfortunately. It’s difficult to explain to those that don’t understand this space, but just know we always do everything we can to look after our members. Disappointed you feel this way.

      • I understand your pain! The people to blame are the decision-makers at Woolworths who didn't anticipate a $ hit to their bottom line from this promotion. We are professionals after all!

        • What an interesting read, thanks for sharing.

Bought a refurbished iPhone, cashback tracked within 30 minutes.

My iPhone 15 pro 128 order got cancelled.

  • +4

Wow even some shitty suitcase I bought got cancelled.

What piece of shit of a deal. 2 revisions on the cashback and also by the Woolworth marketplace platform/traders just cancelling everything.

  • +2

My ipad order gor cancelled. Good luck to you all.

    • +1

Seems to be Wireless1 store cancelling orders

      • +2

Probably best. You’re lucky to even get the order from those guys.

      • Not true. I have informed the wireless1 ppl and they said they haven’t cancelled anything by themselves. Only those that got cancelled were asked by Woolworths fraud team

  • +5

    Hey all,
Regarding the Wireless1 orders that you have placed, I have checked with the rep for Wireless1 and they have confirmed that they themselves are not cancelling any orders. This may have been done by Woolworths themselves.

    • +3

      Another cashback drama

    • Is it known why Woolworths Marketplace would be cancelling the orders? Was this CB not pre-arranged between them and TCB? Cold feet by WMP?

      • +3

I’m not entirely sure why 100%, but based on what the rep told me, it could be their fraud protection team that’s cancelling it.

Mine went through fine (bought from Wireless1 too), same with many others on this thread too.

    • Yes it would be woolworths. I got both a phone call from the fraud team asking me to confirm my order, and then a separate email (acknowledging i had already given verbal confirmation) also asking for email confirmation!

      • So does your order go through after those confirmation?

        • +1

They said: "Apologies for any inconvenience caused. The order has already been processed." so hopefully!

  • +4

I just ordered a Voltx 100ah LiFePO4 battery. Gets good reviews. Already a really great deal at $289 with free shipping. Earns 5,870 Everyday Rewards points ($29). Cashback tracked in minutes showing $101.15 due. Net effective price ~$159.

Others have mentioned repeatedly to ask you to share your experience: here and here, and on both occasions you left them hanging. And here we go again with you negging TopCashback without sharing your experience.

TA has also even mentioned to you to elaborate on your issue:

Criticism is one thing, but please substantiate it with constructive feedback so it can help us improve.

@Clear has even called you out for telling 2 separate stories via this comment

Mine wasn't tracked and no customer service attending my query. I would avoid this dodgy cashback company to save time and effort..

To me it was meaningless response from TCB. I lost my interest and confidence in ever using them.

Should we even trust your comment and previous experience if you’re not going to share what has happened?

I have no issues with people negging the deal if they are experiencing problems but at least provide a justification why you didn’t have a pleasant experience and whether you have followed what was needed to resolve the issue (ie reach out to TA for assistance and raising a missing cashback enquiry for them to investigate)

      • +3

Let's get our popcorn ready for another round of no replies or a whole new story.

      • I have submitted claims, but haven’t gotten the cashback nor a reasonable response. For less than $10, do I bother to follow up tirelessly? No.
Here is the thing, if I trusted a company but it has failed a few times without proper resolution, I simply don’t want to waste more time on this company.
I simply wanted to warn the community that there is this chance you might not get your cashback and have to spend time to follow up.
If you feel filing claims and following up is part of the TCB process, so be it.
I will neg TCB no more. Let’s see how far this company will go.

        • Multiple claims sound like a user error to me. I am currently on 100% tracked purchases and on $1k in tracked cashbacks

TA did advise that once you have submitted the claim, there is no further action required on your end:

once you submit the claim and receive the initial response, there's nothing further to do but wait on the merchant to respond.

Have you reached out to @tightarse for assistance and see if he can help you out if you haven’t heard back?

          • +1

@BargainsGrabber: Thanks for your suggestion. As I said, it’s my own experience and maybe a minority group of us felt this company doesn’t worth our effort/trust.
I can reach out to TA in the future for other questions - again thanks for the caring community members.

    • +1

I enjoyed being the eight person to revoke your negative

Also you are a representative for a business

      Representative for
      Sticker Republic

Which happens to have more neg votes than positive.. All items drop shipped from AliExpress.

Based on my previous experience with this scam company

And you're calling TCA as scam business lol.

You've been asked on many occasions to respond with details as per above. Any feedback you give about TCA is mute as this point in time. Good luck with drop shipping stickers from AliExpress if how you conduct yourself on OzBargain is any indication of the way your communicate with people.

      • Thanks for bring this up. It was a side hassle I have done years ago and tbh I remember I only posted once when the little business has started. We import products from China and sell them locally in Australia, that’s it. Is it a scam? Your call mate.
Either way, what I posted on behalf of the small business has nothing to do with my complaints to TCB.

  • +3

I wonder why others are reporting that their purchases have been tracked within 30 mins, 45 mins, an hour after ordering, yet my order from 9:47am this morning has not been tracked. The TCB website says it takes up to 7 days, but that's clearly a worst-case scenario. My browser had no enabled ad blockers, and I clicked via the link on the TCB website. My account shows that link click was registered.

I spent way more than I usually would have to ensure a maximised cashback, but now the reduction in the cap and other comments here have me I'm worried that I just greatly overpaid for stuff I could have gotten much cheaper elsewhere without the promise of cashback. What's the best course of action? Do I just have to wait 7 days, log it with their customer service and hope that TCB will honour the cashback rate and cap advertised at the time I ordered? Their T&C's say that I'm shit out of luck if Woolworths decide that my purchase doesn't count.

    • if it doesn't track, cancel the order or return the goods - if the t&c allow.

  • Wow got lucky, placed order at 10.51 and tracked for $293.65.

  • @tightarse are Woolies staff or team members allowed to use their staff additional discount coupon and still be eligible for cashback? Staff normally get a 5% discount across the board and can use a coupon once a month to get 10%..

Follow up questions. Does the basic staff discount of 5% without the additional coupon negate the cash back?

    Cheers ✌️

    • +1

The staff discounts don't apply to Everyday Market orders

  • Wondering anyone got their order cancelled? It happened once for me in this promo and several times in shopback WW supermarket promo.

    • Nope, my orders are shipped too.

  • Is there a specific link to the Everyday Market website where I can search and see results for products from Everyday Market only?

When I try searching, the results presented also include those from Woolworths as well and becomes difficult to go through the entire list of results

    • After searching use the filter to show Everyday Market only.

Hoselink auto reel hose 20m for $140 and 25m high flow for $180. Thanks OP. Cashback are tracked, hope they will be paid out

    • I ordered several items from them this morning, and it's tracking, so fingers crossed.

      • Did you get the 30m retractable reel? When i saw this deal this morning, its already OOS

    • I've gone back and read some comments from previous Hoselink deals. Some users recommend getting a UV cover to protect the reel housing from sun damage. Unfortunately, it looks like Marketplace does not stock them

  • How long did everyone tracking take

    • My 2 separated orders were tracked in less than 40mins

  • I got a feeling this is going to get complicated lol, order placed 10 mins ago, nothing coming through not even an Order Confirmation from Everyday Market, let alone Topcashback tracking…………will see how this turns out

    • Does it show up on your Woolies account? All my TCB orders tracked successfully at 40 minutes from the August deal, & TA said 2-3 hrs for this deal, so I wouldn't worry.

But according to woolies, one of my August orders is still being 'Prepared' because an incorrect tracking number was used. Also curious how that order will turn out regarding the cashback…

      • +1

Yes its in my WW account, will see how it goes:) Thanks

  • +1

    Tracked in 35 mins.

  • +2

Placed an order, fingers crossed it tracks and gets paid out. I'm surprised that so many people (including me) are getting manual calls from the Woolies team, confirming the order and making sure that we're aware that the order has been placed, reconfirming delivery and payment details etc. The call I got was very direct, to the point of almost being rude (and that too at 9.45 pm), and it makes me wonder why a company like the Woolworths group did not foresee this kind of redemption of the cashback offer. If you're going to offer a 35% cashback irrespective of categories, you need to be prepared to handle volumes, instead of scrambling for T&C updates and cancelling orders to stay within budget. Very poor form from the folks at Woolies.

    • +2

you need to be prepared to handle volumes, instead of scrambling for T&C updates and cancelling orders to stay within budget.

This isn’t true. I had an OzBargainer privately dm’ed me and he had mentioned that it was due to a recent increase in fraud towards Everyday Market so they're seemingly on higher alert.

  • I bought WiiM Plus and Pro Plus for $578 -200 = $378. Tightarse, it better track lol

Initially planned to buy GM2 lenses but was too slow ( those were also not available for sale lol ) damn!

    • I bought a WiiM Amp. I will see how it sounds against my old Yamaha amp. Different class DACs, but I like the smaller form and app trickery.

The Pro Plus has a much better DAC than the Plus.

      • You should've bought two and went dual mono

        Edit: confirmed it does

        Speaker Output
        Stereo or dual mono sound

        • Not worth it to get two. The cash back on one is $178.50 and the cap was $200. I will likely pick up a WiiM Mini for the Yamaha Amp.

  • -2

Family member ordered a Nintendo switch from Gamesmen and was cancelled this morning.
    This deal is a joke.

    • +2

This deal and the upsize cashback have no correlation to why Woolworths are cancelling orders.

As mentioned above, this is due to a recent increase in fraud logins towards Everyday Market accounts. They could’ve done it more subtly or have a better system in place but it’s just bad timing

This isn’t on The Gamesmen nor Wireless1

      • -3

It's irrelevant who's fault it is. What's the point of a deal if it's cancelled for a lot of people?

        • -2

They could’ve done it more subtly or have a better system in place but it’s just bad timing

I have bold the words where I feel it’s relevant to you. I am just a messenger and I know you’re pissed about it. I have been transparent to those who have messaged me and passed the additional info via comments from the dm messages and convos when I talked to the store rep. If I didn’t share the message that an OzBargainer shared with me, you all would have just blamed on the third party stores without providing why it was cancelled in the first place.

if it's cancelled for a lot of people?

I wouldn’t say it’s a lot of people. There are 200+ upvotes and many successful transactions. Only those that have their orders cancelled ranted here without providing why their orders are being cancelled.

Family member ordered a Nintendo switch from Gamesmen and was cancelled this morning.
          This deal is a joke.

Let’s take your comment for example. Did you receive an email or phone call from the Woolworths fraud team? The original comment that you made sounded like it’s The Gamesmen’s fault

          • -4

@BargainsGrabber: Then learn to read. I merely said a family member ordered a Nintendo Switch from Gamesmen and it was cancelled. I don't know how that translates into me blaming Gamesmen. Lol

I don't even understand what you mean by bad timing.

            • @keejoonc: Then learn to understand. I’m in a chat with the rep from Wireless1 and it’s the same process across sitewide with other sellers too.

Family member ordered a Nintendo switch from Gamesmen and was cancelled this morning.

Your original comment reads as the cancellation came from The Gamesmen. I’m happy to be proven otherwise if you want to contact The Gamesmen further and ask why your order was cancelled.

The cancellation would have come from Woolworths originally asking the seller (in this case: The Gamesmen) to cancel the order due to suspicion of fraud activity.

Bad timing in this case was a copy and paste from the anonymous message that I received:

yes they've been cancelling a lot of orders, not as a way to renege on the cashback deal but simply because a lot of the orders are being flagged as fraud.

There's been a recent increase in fraud towards Everyday Market so they're seemingly on higher alert. Unfortunately it's just bad timing.

Thanks to the neggers for the helpful comment and you all wouldn’t know this since this isn’t public knowledge

              • -3

@BargainsGrabber: I don't care whether it's a bad timing, bad process or whatever. If it was me who ordered something and had it cancelled for no obvious reasons, that is stupid and that makes this deal a joke. Cancelling orders on suspicion of fraud without checking is a joke as well.
