  Domains are usually quite cheap at $8-9 so a $1 saving is 12 or so percent. Also you get free whois privacy for the first year with them.

  It does seem cheap if you want to stay at the same registrar and renew but quite often I just keep transferring between namecheap and netfirms. (With coupons it works well. :P)
