    How ab free fvf?

  • Thanks OP.

  • +3

I can't see this offer, (Ebay Plus)

  • +1

Didn't get it either despite having received every other Ebay Plus deal in the past.

  • +1

Should the offer still be available if I renew my subscription only for a month?

    • Would like to know this also! Cancelled my membership last month due to the lack of ongoing fvf deals

      • +1

Yeah I was eligible for similar deals last year so I think it should be available for 1 month sub. Worth a try for $5

    • +3

I resubbed to eBay plus ($5/month) and can confirm that I received the free postage label

      • how can you confirm, do you have a sold item already ? there is no offer button we can click to accept

        • Yeah, I sold an item recently and when you want to generate a label the costs is $0 for AusPost or Sendle postage options

          • @snare: thanks

          • +1

@snare: Perfect timing - was able to cancel a label I printed yesterday and regenerate a free one today!

    Need free fee please….

I sell about 1000 items per year and have just checked my Orders page. No free shipping for anything available. I suggest this offer is targeted only.

    • Do you run an eBay store?

      • +1

No, eBay Plus only. No store.

I used to receive the free/discounted shipping offers, but they stopped a couple of years ago and never returned. I've never asked eBay support chat why, but I assume these offers are available to entice people to sell on eBay. As I already sell a decent amount, eBay has no need to offer me free postage.

        • +1

I sell around 500 items p.a on personal eBay plus account and get the offers. Probably worth spending 10 frustrating minutes on chat to see if can be resolved.

          • @MS Paint: Chat is not available today but I will contact them tomorrow.

      • seems store seller is still not eligible for this deal.

  • The trouble with their free labels is that they only tend to include $100 insurance. Is there a way to increase the insurance?

    • +1

You can also add Extra Cover after you’ve bought your satchel or postage label. Request this service at your Post Office before you send your item

      From auspost website

  • +1

How do these work? Do you have to provide a box? Print a label? Etc.

    • -2

I'm thinking eBay is not for you but thanks for the great question.

      • Why not? Got a couple things i want to palm off without dealing with facebook marketplace. Seems like the perfect place.

    • Yes, you have to send your item in some kind of box or container.

    • +2

You print the label, put the item in a box with sufficient padding, stick label on box, take box to Australia Post or a Sendle drop off.

  • +1

Is this targeted? Did eBay sent an message advising of this offer?

  • Got it! Now I need to sell some mega heavy huge items.

  • +2

Thanks, got this offer. I don't think I'll use it though. eBay fee is way too high, and the free label wouldn't allow me to add insurance

  • I guess there is no way to use this to send a general parcel (an item you didn't sell on Ebay)? eg choosing "get another label" & somehow changing the delivery address?
Asking for a friend of course…..

  • New member, just joined a trial. Will it still work?

  • Confirmed working, sold something on ebay today and the free shipping label option appears
Edit: existing ebay plus member, not new

  • Dumb question, whats the easiest way to get a free label from ebay if I sold an item on marketplace and wanna save on shipping? Is there any way to just create a label lol

    • not possible

      • The only workaround I could think of is to do a $1 dummy listing, and then buy it with a guest account…

        • In theory they would have systems in place to detect shill bidding, so if you must try it, make sure the guest account is on a different network with no other details linked to you…

  • +1

Possibly dumb question, but does this cover international post?

    • +2

There are no eBay labels for international shipping

  • +1

Just sold 2 items on a second account with an expired eBay plus account.

I re-signed up for 1 month ($4.99) and got the free labels. $30 worth of shipping labels for $5 suits me. Profit covers the eBay fvf's as well.

  • Yep. Didn't get it. Still - a good deal for those that got targeted. Thanks OP.

  • eBay is now advertising me 3x50% labels on the homepage….

    1. When does the promotion run?
The promotion runs from 10:00 (AEDT) on Thursday 2 January 2025 and is available for a limited time only (“Promotion Period”). eBay reserves the right to cancel or extend the promotion at any time.
    2. What is the promotion?
Post your next 3 items, 50% off with an Australia Post or Sendle postage service through eBay’s label platform during the Promotion Period.
    • Yep, not getting this one either.

Looking at my stats, I paid eBay $1220 in fees over the past 31 days. As always, if you're a good customer or loyal to a company you get diddly squat as a reward. If you hardly use a product or company you'll get all the rewards.

      1. Who is eligible for this promotion?

You have had less than 100 orders or less than AUD $12k in sales over the past 12 months.

So if you sell a whopping 9 things per month, you're not eligible. Good one eBay.

  • Just got off with eBay customer service. sold an item and went in to get my free Auspost label put in the dimensions and weight, and couldn't select Additional liability coverage it was grayed out, so was advised the following when querying about it, seems this was introduced recently by Auspost:

I have checked the details with the our team and our team has informed that AU Post has specified certain limit for Additional liability coverage for partnered website and here the dimensions that you have mentioned has exceeded the limit and that is the reason Additional liability coverage is greyed out. The maximum limit accepted by AU Post website for Additional liability coverage is 40cm30cm10cm.

    Me:
when did that take effect as have purchased many labels in past without any restriction on size of box/parcel for additional liability cover?

This is the limit set by AU Post recently for Additional liability coverage.

    Was advised the following:
Here to purchase the label with Additional liability coverage, you can purchase the label directly from AU Post website and AU Post may provide you the Additional liability coverage option with the dimensions that you wish to have and allow the option for Additional liability coverage.

Here as shared above you can directly purchase the label from post office and if in case if you are being charged any extra for the postage label then you can get back to us with the reciept and we will help you in crediting the difference amount.

So it seems there is a limit on dimensions of box/parcels to be able to select the additional cover. I think I will just get the label as its only a total of $200
