I have a knock off aliexpress window cleaning bot and I love it, lol. We are in a standalone house but have an above ground basement, so all of our windows (quite large) are second story and not really reachable from the outside. My aliexpress bot sticks on with suction and just slowly cleans the windows far easier than using a telescoping thing or one of the end-of-the-hose jobs.

    • Interesting… Do you place it on the wall and it climbs to the window to start cleaning ?

I start inside and plug it in + attach the tether to some random heavy furniture, then open the window (old school sliding windows) and 'attach' it to the outside. The suction means it sticks to the window. It then has a wee remote that you tell it which way to head, so I just put it wherever on the window (and close the sliding bit if necessary) then tell it to clean from top left to the bottom. Does that make sense? Kinda hard to explain but easy if I could show!

This video is the same style of bot that I have, but I can't see her actually putting it outside - as long as you can open your windows from the inside and then close it leaving a slight gap for power + tether, you can use it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TV3je6PuqAQ

      have an above ground basement

Sounds like the 1st floor to me.

      • Ehhh, it's basically unfinished (large single garage, two storage rooms, a workshop, and a toilet with no sink or other plumbing - idk either). The whole thing is concrete floors and exposed 'ceilings' (underfloor of the house above) with no internal access to the real house, so it gets a weird name.

    • Interesting. Does it get right into the corners?

      • +1

My one has rounded cleaning pads, so it leaves a small lil circular patch on the corners that it can't quite get to. Luckily the corners are where I can reach from inside, so I tend just to clean those manually once in a blue moon so you can't see too well. It's definitely not perfect, but if left to my own devices I wouldn't clean the windows at all… so it's better than the alternative!

What is the name of the AliExpress window cleaning bot you love?
It would be good to know from someone who has bought it before.

The one I purchased was "Window Cleaning Robot Large Suction Spray Electric Window Cleaning Robot anti-fall Remote Control Vacuum Cleaner", version Water spraying 1, AU from shop "Automool store". The specific listing I bought is no longer listed, unfortunately, but the robot is the style in the youtube video I linked above :)

        • how much have you bought it before? cheers

What's the difference between this and their Winbot W1 Pro?

    • Chatgpt:

      1. Availability and Pricing:

The WINBOT NEO is available exclusively through Aldi and is generally offered at a lower price compared to the WINBOT W1 Pro, making it a budget-friendly option. The WINBOT W1 Pro, on the other hand, is available through more general retail channels and tends to be more expensive.

      1. Features and Specifications:

WINBOT W1 Pro: This model features the advanced WIN-SLAM 3.0 path planning system, which provides efficient and systematic cleaning. It has a dual-direction cross auto-spray technology, a 60 ml water tank, and a suction power of 2,800 Pa. It also includes an upgraded edge detection system, making it suitable for frameless windows. This model is designed for users who want a robust, high-performance window cleaner with smart features controlled via the Ecovacs app.

WINBOT NEO: While it shares many core features with the W1 Pro, such as the same 2,800 Pa suction power and basic navigation technology, it lacks some of the more advanced features of the W1 Pro, like the dual-direction cross auto-spray. The NEO is a slightly simplified version, which is reflected in its more accessible price point.

      1. Design and Use Case:

Both models are designed to clean framed and frameless windows, but the WINBOT W1 Pro is better suited for users who need more versatility and smart controls, particularly for larger or more complex window setups. The NEO, with its similar core functionality but fewer frills, is ideal for users looking for a cost-effective solution.

      • Thanks!

      • it lacks some of the more advanced features of the W1 Pro, like the dual-direction cross auto-spray.

    WIN-SLAM 3.0 path planning technology

    Doesn't sound promising

This is a window cleaner not a vacuum😀

      • They have robots to clean windows now? 😆

I wish someone would do a gutter cleaning robot

Would pay good money for such a device.

Couldn't find any videos on this model: Ecovacs Winbot Neo
It doesn't seem to exist anywhere else than Aldi. Maybe it is made for Aldi?

It is quite expensive to take a chance on an unknown model.
