Microsoft 365 Family (6 Users 1 Year) $107 + Surcharge @ SaveOnIT

80

I've been waiting for this to go on sale again, anywhere - it's not as cheap as the Bing Lee deals a few months ago, but it's the best price currently, and the only place you can get it for less than $119

Surcharges: 1% card payment, 2.6% PayPal payment.

  • Can you add to an existing license ?

    • Yep, just adds a year onto your expiry.

  • I’ve seen this as cheap as $96 from SaveOnIt. $107 is their average price.

As long as your existing license is a legit Australian licence then, yes you can extend your M365 licence using SaveOnIt licenses.

Be aware they weren’t automated last time I upgraded my Family M365 licence and it might take up to 24 hours or longer before you get electronic (email delivery).

  • I decided to go LibreOffice + Thunderbird for home use a few months ago. So far, so good for what I do, but obviously YMMV.

I use Libre Office also. I first used it years ago as I needed to submit a resume for a job that I was interested in.
Unfortunately when I sent it via email to my potential employer I saved the resume as the standard (or default) LibreOffice doc.
When I contacted the employer to see how my job application went they said they couldn't open it, as I needed to save it as an microsoft word doc.
Needless to say I didn't get the job as it stated that a basic understanding of Microsoft Office was desirable. I learnt a valuable lesson that day,
when using Libreoffice, always save my work as a microsoft word doc.

      • Haha, great story and lesson!

I've been wondering about using the open doc formats, but I fear losing something (time, opportunity… maybe money!) for a similar reason.

    $85.41 for MS 365 Family 1 Year

    • I swear that wasn't as cheap when I looked a few days ago. Definitely the better deal!

      • Bought it on 26 August for that price. Anyhow, you can still get another code and stack them =)

  • I've had free access to Office 365 for a few years since finishing my studies. I just ignore the notification that prompts me to log in to validate my details!
