Will they price match after the code ?I believethey will do it without the use of code

    • They did for me. OW charged me $85.41

      • +1

        In store ?

        • -2

          Yes, in store

      • Did you go to an officeworks store to get the price match?

          • @Moped: Hmm looking at their T&C's, says coupons are excluded.

            No harm in trying myself.

            • @Apostle0748: I guess it depends on the day and person at the check out.
It sure worked for me and as you said no harm in trying.
Even if you get the price beat on the $99.90 price tag it's still a good deal and you get to buy it from a store rather than some website.

              Good luck anyways

      • I went to OW one hour ago and was told the MPN is different, failed to PM

I’m so old that back in the days you’d buy MS office or any adobe product

    • -1

      days you’d buy MS office

Yes, for around $600… and no free upgrade to the latest versions.

      • $600 lol. Office 2021 is $219 for home or $379 for business.

        • +1

would that be $219 per copy?

        • +1

          $600 lol. Office 2021 is $219

earlier versions of office pro were around $600

Home use program was the bomb. $15-$20. One user two machine license iirc. I'm still using my 2019 HUP office

        • +5

I'm still using a cracked Office Professional 2007 lol

          • @Lucille Bluth: Honestly wonder what your missing out on

Personally just gave up and now use Google Dox

            • @ram4ram: I don't think I miss out on anything. I do however have a Turkish Google One account 200gb, pay like $20 or something. Peanuts. Google Photos unlimited quality at highest resolution by using an ancient Google Pixel 1 phone to backup from my normal mobile phone and my DJI

              • @Lucille Bluth: Damn, how do you get Turkish Google One? I have Indian YouTube, but can't seem to change Google One

      • +3

Nah not that much. It was around half that. I’m talking 10-20 years ago.

Back then you would not need to constantly upgrade. I remember buying software with the mentality of purchase and forget. There was no thought to upgrade in the future.

The big software vendors came up with the great capitalist idea to make buggy software, release it to the public as beta testers then constantly release updates to fix the bugs in the previous version. Or just insecure software. Then they on-ramped everyone onto the subscription model. Yay, cash cows now. Profit. Maybe we can partially thank the Agile manifesto.

Noice find, purchased via this website, they sent me two 6 month keys which was the only weird part, but all working as expected!

    • Yes, that was the case for me as well. Both keys worked fine.

Paying about $1.05 per month for family OneDrive for 6 people, which includes 1tb of OneDrive person and office 365.

It's 2024. Why are you still paying for this?

    • Huh? Those require a key.

The real trick is installing just what you want, not the whole bloody suite. Just word and excel for me. Took me forever to make that happen and not sure I could do it again.

  • can this be added to an existing subscription?

    • Yes

https://docs.google.com/ is not only free, but also unlikely to run malware in the documents.

    • +9

But that doesn't include 6 x 1TB of online storage. Many of us use this to buy OneDrive for our household and treat MS Office as free.

    • Or this:
      https://www.onlyoffice.com/
(Free, looks the same as MS Word/Excel)

I like it more than the clunky Libreoffice. Not as advanced though.

    • Yeah but Google.

    • +1

      https://docs.google.com/ is not only free

online versions of MS Office apps are also free

  • I can confirm that it stacks with existing subscriptions, my previous sub was purchased via their workplace discount programme and the coupon stacked on top of the remaining time.

Looking at their other keys (eg Windows licenses for $12.90), it sure looks a lot like they're illegally reselling volume licensing keys.

At best, these Office 365 keys are probably grey imports bought from Argentina or Türkiye or something, but I don't want to support any site that pulls dodgy crap like this.

  • I made the mistake of buying office 365 subscription home 6 user pack from amazon last time. Originally i was using the personal subscription from Microsoft. When i try to upgrade the website gave me a message saying that i would lose my current existing months since i m switching provider.

I got confused so i live chat with Microsoft. Apparently when i originally subscribed, the subscription is managed by Microsoft. And the package i bought from amazon means that the subscription will now be managed by amazon. Whilst the product is the same the provider is different. So that means all future subscriptions renewal will need to be via Amazon.

If i choose different provider then all existing months when the subscription is renewed will be forfeited.

    Anyone faced the same issue?

    • Maybe you could buy a hard drive and use that instead?

    • The providers can migrate your data and everything between subscriptions, at least for enterprises. Better confirm with support.

      • My understanding is that no data loss will occur. The data is saved. We are given 10 days from expiry date to either renew from the pre existing provider or switch to another provider. The change is just the provider itself. But that may mean that you cant simply tag on new subscriptions plans onto the existing. Not sure how this actually works.

  • Officeworks don’t price match with codes.

    • Just back from OW They Price beat the 99.90 without code. They said this is a software reseller in Norway Not sure if it can stack Key on receipt -told 12 months begins from day or purchase, not date of activation
Lets see if it willstack/upgrade my 365 Personal
Just notice receipt/activation code from OW states Expiry 01/01/3000 so fingers xd

  • Good deal even without OW. Time to extend my subscription a few years again!

I have placed an order more then two hours ago and haven't yet received the product keys. When I download the product key from the orders page, it is a blank file.

I have opened a support ticket.

Anyone else facing the same issue?

    • +1

Same issue here. The txt file is blank and no emailed code.

      • +1

        Fine print on website reads:
If the product key is not listed on the order page or in the order confirmation, this will automatically be sent to you by e-mail within one hour from the time of purchase (Monday – Sunday 10am – 11pm (UTC+2)).

      • Just received my keys. 6m extension a pop and they worked.

Same same. The txt file is blank and no emailed code. Raised Ticket

    • Just received my keys. 6m extension a pop and they worked.

  • They sent me a code that had been used 3 days ago. :|
    Awaiting response…

    • Got back to me with a replacement code that worked.

  • If I start a free trial first, can I then buy and add this key?

  • Thanks OP

Forget about OW price beat, spending time to argue the MPN, worth $4.5

I have received 2x 6M codes instantly after the payment processed, 5 minutes ago.

I have added both keys to my existing subscriptions and the expire date is extended exactly one year, NOT from today.

Just tried to buy another 2 years and was told "Coupon usage limit has been reached."
Not sure this is the limits by each purchase or not, so if you want to buy multiple licenses/keys, probably get them in one transaction.

Hope this helps anyone who wants some clarification
