    Used to be $999, innit?

    great timing

    • …. for compensation

    • Heh i've done that ride in the rain before, was fun. Can confirm didn't get stuck.

  • +2

Last year it was 1199. This year 1299.

if you have a citibank credit card, you can use the promo code CITI10 (this works) or PRESTIGECITI10 (i think that still works) for 10% off.

    • +3

Or Costco sell discount gift cards

    • Do you need to pay via a Citibank credit card to utilise the code(s)?

      • I've only tried with Amex (as they currently have a $100 cashback offer with Luxury escape that expires Aug 31st ), which failed. I think you can pay with gift cards though (haven't tried myself, too scared I'd be stuck with 1K+ worth of gift cards)

        • +1

you can pay with gift cards, but it will be cancelled, saying the payment was not successful, I tried that before. The response from Luxury Escape was that it will only work with Citi Credit cards…

          • +1

@Ametric: My last purchase with the prestige got cancelled - refused to reinstate it but allowed me to book again.

(The dates I had booked for the Star Gold Coast pearl jam concert dates had mysteriously dropped off….)

            • @scanuck: oh, that is sad, better use gift cards then. I stocked up on the gift cards when they were 15% OFF on Amazon, I buy them via shopback/costco then.

      • Yes, I tried and it didn't go through

No multi room options? As if anyone wants to go and spend a week in the same room as their kids

    • +19

I dont mind. Love hanging out with my kids

  • not bad

  • +1

I honestly wouldn’t stay at SeaWorld Resort for more than one night, it’s worth it to get two days of park entry for a family for $300 but I wouldn’t want to stay there for a week 🥴

    • why?

    • I had a great time two rooms with the family for 5 days last year. Yes you really do need a hire car to get around as it's a fair way out of the centre but so are the other parks. Service was fantastic and prices seemed semi reasonable (esp the buy 1 get one free beer). If you don't have kids though avoid 😉

  • 5 nights way too much!! Need 3 night option

  • +3

Last year's deal was so good and happened they were doing 15% off luxury escapes GC and 10% off PRESTIGECITI10 code

    ended up to be $1199 x 90% = $1079.10 x 85% = $917 for 5 nights, breakfast and theme parks for 6 days for 4 people

    • Breakfast wasn't free.

      • it was mate

actually you are right… it was "included" in the price. nothing is free

        • +1

Did you use it and got free breakfast? I have yet to use it. Just read the deal again and it is confusing to me. To me it sounds like kids eat free breakfast and dinner from the kids menu per paying adult. "Paying adult" meaning the adults pay. I guess it could mean free breakfast for all, and kids eat free dinner per paying adult.

"Free buffet breakfast and kids' menu dinner for children (13 and under) with paying adult"

          • @zealmax: Ya I been before

            It is worded badly

But it's free breakfast for all

Free buffet dinner for each kid with each paying adult for last time but they changed it this time

          • @zealmax: That's correct, last year it was only kids eat free for each paying parent. From memory it was about $35 for an adult which is on the high side. On the plus side many a muffin was smuggled out by the one parent who went

            • @pw2002au: I don't think staff cares of you smuggle food out they usually just bin the food

      • I was told it was $32 for an adult buffet breakfast

  • Adults are charged for breakfast, kids eat for free per paying adult.

4 nights accomm in penthouse suite on the Vortex ride?

    • +1

I believe it was the leviathan

  • +1

Don’t hang around for two hours like the guys did yesterday though 😂

  • Entry to theme parks has an unlimited entry for 1 year or only valid during the stay?

    • 7 days straight ticket was given to us last time (ie: use anytime only within a week period)

    • 6 days including check out date but yes you can use it 7 days too

  • +1

No monorail now? Bit of a hassle?

    • No as you enter the back of the park straight through reception. It's a PIA of a walk if you want to go see the seals or rides though. Great for the dolphins.

  • Free parking? I am not having the best of luck finding that information in their website.

    • +1

Yes but you may need to park out on road. It's just one big parking free for all. Out of 5 nights I had to park half way down the road 300m walk once.

      • Thank you for the info :)

  • +1

I rate the resort for a kids holiday. They have kids activities at night (disco etc), pool was good, outdoor splash park is getting way to old but still functions. Kids food menu was reasonably priced for a resort. Service staff were way above average for Aussies 😉.

  • +1

Should price go down after yesterday's disaster?

    • They need a round of funding to compensate the victims
