    Did some research

    The above model
    SpotClean Turbo AutoMate 1558X

Is the exact same power and everything of the purple turbo, the AutoMate is just the newer model of the purple
    SpotClean Turbo | 15582

    • Well that's poor form from Bissell..

Previously for the other normal shaped SpotCleans, the AutoMate was the highest model usually having more attachments than the other models and a longer hose right out the box..

I just ordered the most basic unit (purple heatwave) for $100 in the meantime to replace an AutoMate I'll be needing to warranty for a break in the hose after 15 months of almost daily use..

      • I think I was wrong about the brush heads sorry, they look different.

Both this and the standard purple turbo have the same power. Although the previous turbo model looks discontinued on the Bissel website.

Icon looks like a daft punk helmet

    • Was about to post this exact same thing!

  • Sorry if it is a dumb question but how long does it typically take for a carpet to dry out once you use this unit. I’m wondering just how effective it is in getting rid of the water. Is it really just suitable for rugs? I don’t want sodden underlay on carpets.

i hazard a guess to say in absolute terms, it will take 18 months for carpet and underlay to dry completely. All carpets effectively including shagpile. Globally.

I love how simps downvote instead of giving an answer 😂

  • Is this considerably better than the VAX being sold in Bunnings for $167?

    • Or the $99 one from kmart?

Just want to double check that if I wanted to clean an entire living room carpet, I'd best get something like this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/856773 ?
And that this is really more for spot cleaning a stain in a carpet, or using in the car? Except the floor version I linked to before also has a spot feature? (hoping anyone who has experience with both might be able to comment - thanks in advance!)
