    Repeat deal already posted :)
Oh sorry thought it was the generic one posted, it was just the driver. Same promo though.

If anyone has luck with matching this at Total Tools, please let me know!

It's listed at $219 but no bonus charger/battery

Ew, 165mm. Better 180 or hand saw

    • +5

This will rip 50mm hardwood if needed. It's no toy and the lighter weight is very handy for overhead or vertical cutting. Good luck hand sawing several large sheet goods to precise dimensions, some can do it but not many! Of course its not heavy duty, Dewalt's 54V rear handle is a beast that will do anything a corded saw will but it's f'ing heavy to use for long periods,

  • I picked one of these up a few weeks ago. great tool. much better value than the equivalent ryobi version, which is a few dollars cheaper but does not come with a battery.

  • Serious question, interested if anyone has used this and the Ozito equivalent? I have the Ozito already and 4ah battery, just need to clean cut some mdf panels..

    • +3

can't speak for ozito, but generally a saw is only ever as good as the blade. if you're looking to cut mdf panels with as little tearing as possible, grab a blade with more teeth. 40 or even 60. I got this one and have found it quite good.

      • -1

I was actually looking at that 60 tooth.. I haven’t experienced any hesitation on the Ozito, perhaps need to make some test cuts first as I can’t afford to f up the actual cuts.

Obviously higher amp battery affects the grunt of the tool, I notice this on the Ozito 36v lawn mower, 2 x 2amp batteries stall more than 2 x 4 amp

        • Amps affect grunt, but what you’re referencing is Ah / Amp hour and in a like-for-like tool will only affect the runtime of the battery. Once either battery hits 30% or less capacity it might start struggling to maintain current for tougher tasks though, which is where you’ll notice a lot more stalling earlier during use with the smaller capacity

    • +8

I have both. The Ozito is now gathering dust whilst the DeWalt is producing it.

      • what's the in box blade like for the dewalt? Is it an insta replace like the ozito?

        • It's been fine. I've just spent the weekend hanging doors after using the saw to cut them to size. No complaints at all.

    • +1

Get a track saw for sheets

      • If you doing it a lot it may be worth the investment, but otherwise you can just make your own jig. Plenty of guides on Youtube.

    • Upgraded from my Ozito to this. The Ozito would cut out while cutting 19mm plywood.

      • +1

That's been my experience too. I love my other Ozito tools but the circ saw is gutless.

  • +2

left handed, motor is not over stock when cutting.

    • +1

If you use it right handed. I'm left handed and have used "right handed" saws with no real problem for decades, I'm sure righties can adapt too. This one makes a lovely change though.

T&C states it’s for “in store only” “ Not available online) ?

Didn’t want to drive (sick in bed) and prefer free delivery.

  • Depending on how important run time is you might want to consider the brushless version? For DIY shouldn't be an issue.

    • +1

      Also the weight consideration.

Can you get this deal online or only in store?

    • +1

Terms and conditions say in store only while stock lasts

    • +1

      Defintely instore only.
Bought the impact driver recently, and they confirmed the offer is instore only.
The battery, and pack are rung up as separate $0 items.
      Need to update title.

  • +1

$179.54 if you have a Power pass.

    • no powerpass discount on this one - tried but pos computer at checkout said ineligible - i still bought it tho

      • +1

That's weird. I got the PP discount today. $179.54 on the receipt.

        • bummer - my bad luck i guess

  • the 54v is crazy good but this is amazing value

    • Yeah I recently bought the 54v since it came with a 6ah redemption and it's a beast.

  • +1

Why is this left handed when most of them are right handed?

    • -5

nicely spotted, left handed not usable for righties

      • +2

I don’t know wtf im talking about cause I’ve never used a circ saw before but apparently left handed saws for righties is useful to have the motor out of the way of the sight of the blade

      • +2

I have this saw. I'm right handed and have no problem using it. In fact, I prefer blade left saws, especially for lighter saws like this which you can use one handed.

      • +1

That's completely incorrect. They are simply used differently to 'right handed' saws.
Try and find a 'right handed' 6 1/2 inch circular saw and then you'll realise that the 90% of people using these that are right handed must have worked it out.

        • -1

thanks for clearing that up :)

    • +2

Most 165mm saws I've seen have been blade left.

    • +1

Most 6 1/2 inch saws are left handed.
It's easier to see your cut line as well as make one handed cuts with a speed square.

    • +1

As a lefty, this is definitely not a left handed tool.

  • Finally. A brand for serious folks.

I have 2 of these that are coming up to 10 and 20 years old, respectively.

They still go way harder than ozito and skil, which I also tried and both of which died

  • +1

This is an ideal tool for any DIY'er and a perfect entry price.
Also check out the DeWalt Atomic reciprocating saw.

  • They also have a deal on a hammer drill.

  • This is a fantastic deal! The battery pack and charger they handed over had a price tag of $289. Fantastic find!

  • I was in the market for a circular saw and had my eye on the Ozito, however after a bathroom reno, other DIY and now building a deck, this offer is the perfect time to enter the De Walt ecosystem.
Picked it up today from the store and was given the battery for 1 cent.

    Great deal.

  • Does anyone of yours have a dust extractor and hex key?

    • I would like to know this too. My one does not have the dust extractor attachment. Hex key is attached to the saw.
