I haven't been to the shop myself, but from the photo it looks like there is an in store redemption of a charger + 5Ah battery if you by the skin only version of the DCF809N-XE brushless impact driver. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
It looks like the kit (including the driver, charger and battery) is selling for $249: https://www.bunnings.com.au/dewalt-18v-5ah-xr-brushless-atom…

There are several tools with the same redemption offer, including the 6.5" circular saw for $189.
Nice, I've been looking to pick one up.
It doesnt seem you can redeem it via the website as its not part of the list.
Just bought one of these. They redeemed the charger and battery instore (priced at $288). Staff were a bit surprised at such a good deal.
@Hugh Man: I doubled up with the drill and circular saw. The staff were pretty confused as well.
T&Cs apply, see www.guaranteedtough.com.au. Open to AU res 18+. Ends: 11:59pm AEDST 15/09/24, or once stock runs out, whichever is first to occur. Max 1 claim p/transaction in store only. Not available online.
I paid $299 for Ryobi brushless 4 Mode + charger and 2 batteries last month 🥲
This one look like an entry model though
Can confirm this is true. I work in the toolshop at Bunnings. Cracka deal to be fair. $289 for the battery + Charger on its own. This is an entry level impact driver though just so you know. Would still be solid though
How do you claim the battery?
The battery + charger is under $100 on market place at least for the non genuine version
what the point of stating the fake aftermarket on fB?
Great deal. You can also buy a genuine HETQWEWYTEFYUIUWQX 10,000Nm impact driver to use with that battery.
does this saw https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/863230 have a dust extractor? Dewalt website mentioned it but not included in the box.
Can I buy online for click & collect?
so what is "Atomic" about this driver? Cam they come up with more horse shiza in marketing
I think the atomic series are smaller than the regular ones
It’s made of atoms
Good point. So obvious. I feel so silly..!
Don't believe a word about atoms, they make up everything.
Last time I asked the staff if I can return the tool later, he went silent. I keep it til now as the work light is decent.
Not sure if I need this. Some DIY jobs do need a good driver from what I feel.
It will probably specify on the receipt that it came with the battery and charger, so if you return it you would probably have to include those.
Nah, i returned the worklight without the battery and they said nothing
I apologize for my silly question, but how does it different from Ryobi 18V ONE+ Drill Driver Kit?
(https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-18v-one-drill-driver-start…)I never use any of tools, and it would be nice if someone could provide any suggestions.
Ryobi is generally a lot more entry level than DeWalt (and others - Makita, Milwaukee etc).
This dewalt impact driver is much better than the Ryobi drill driver.
Once you go impact, you'll never go back to a drill driver. Like going from HDD to SSD ;)Very different tools. Also I use my drill a significant amount more than my impact driver around home because of the 'noise pollution' of the impact driver. Good quality drills can do screws no sweat and are significantly more quiet. Impact driver when i'm outside or there's no concerns about noise (for example kids nearby or sleeping etc).
edit: And if you think you like an impact driver, get yourself a compact impact wrench and adapter heh ;)
A drill is good for drilling holes. An impact driver is good for driving screws, nuts and bolts. They're different tools.
I would of jumped on it had it been the DCF860N, but still a great deal!
impact driver is very entry level, probably only good for home DIY
Dewalt DCF809 vs DCF850
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCaW9cb0e1gOverall its a good deal because you're basically getting the impact driver for free.
Hmm do I need this LOL
I just got one this morning, I spoke to the person at the checkout and they are in store redemptions, the battery charger pack alone is worth nearly 300 dollars, grab it while you still can though as even though it's only 8 30 in the morning people are lining up to get them
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/335123498183 ( Looks cheaper with Ebay code? )
It is the same impact driver, but that one comes with a 2 Ah battery. The one at Bunnings comes with a 5 Ah battery.
Nice find! Initially had issues as manager said it was "in store purchase but online redemption". Glad i persisted as tool shop guy corrected her and i got it all 😀
This happened to me too. I was told it would be online redemption but when they scanned it at the register something came up on the screen saying they gotta give me the free stuff now!
Will it take tyres off a car??
Use an impact wrench to do that.
any suggestions?
@sobriety22: Yes, that will be fine. It’s recommended to have at least 700Nm of torque to remove lug nuts from cars and more for trucks.
@Cheap Rich Guy: Is that not too strong? My car's wheel nuts are supposed to be torqued to 140nm.
Which is a good one with a torque limiter?
Cheers op, picked one up! I got a de Walt angle grinder and hammer drill I was going to put on marketplace, and was about to pull the trigger on a ryobi set for the impact driver! You beyootay!
Got one, thanks OP, what a deal!
Can this be redeemed with Click & Collect?
Cheers OP, picked one of these up today! Grabbed a second battery with the circular saw too - though the lady at the desk asked me to walk out to the car and come back in before running the second redemption through XD
Looks like I'm all-in on Dewalt now I suppose (already had their tablesaw which I fricken love).
Sorry for asking, but is it a good deal for a starter to get everything at once?
