      Yes, can confirm, the Amazon Echo Show 8 stand is compatible with gen 2. I bought for the same price on Prime day.

      (I also got the $11.95 Echo Show 5 one as well)

      IMO Alexa devices suck with their Spotify integration. If it were a Google/Nest device anyone on the network would be able to cast to the device. With Amazon, if you're in the Spotify app, you can only send to devices where your account is logged in. In our house my wife's account is logged into our Echo, she can "cast" to it from the Spotify app, I can't.

    Have got an echo 8, but struggling to think of a practical use for one of these. Maybe if you are using it follow recipes when cooking…
    Other than that not sure.

    Also, just to rant, alexa is rubbish IME for anything other than the most basic search queries.

    Bought a different third party one when it was under $9, the difference in build quality is apparent compared to my Amazon branded Echo 5 one anyway. Not sure I need any more motion than front back tilt either.

    Unless you can really see yourself needing swivel, get the more slimline Amazon one
