Will I get rolled for these by my friendly local neighbourhood eshayy?

  • +5

You can also use your monthly $5 off if you don't have any other use for it and save an extra dollar

  • +1

Mmmm yes, needed to stock up on my cheap sneakers. Thank you OP

  • +30

Buy a cheap pair of adidas roughly every 2 years, and then demote the previous pair to yard/mowing shoes thanks OP.

    • +1

      stop spying on me lol

      • Lol i just retired my 20yo+ mowing adidas this year. A pair of asics has taken the place, altho i dont expect them to last me that long. Getting this to replace em once they go.

    • So, you’ll use this for two years and THEN demote it? lol

      • +6

        That's what he said.

        • +2

          confirmed

    • -1

      The bogan way of life.

  • -3

    10% shopback eBay too

    • +2

      Not with that promo code

  • +3

ain't nobody payin' $100 for these if that truly is their RRP lol, even when I was in Norway (supposed to be expensive af) I bought these shoes for cheaper than that

    • You bought these shoes in Norway for cheaper than $100 AUD

      • +2

yes, it was 629 NOK which was $94.87 (or AU$88.62 today)
Not as cheap as I remembered but my point still stands lol

    • +30

And you didn't post it on VikingBargain.nor ??? For shame ….

  • will these fit my wide toes? 😆

atm i seem to fit best in new balance shoes

    • +2

Get the +0.5 sizes they are wider

  • +23

Dont buy this. Regret getting it. Doesn’t lock your heel down while you walk. Feels extremely cheap. Bought a pegasus to replace it. Big waste of money.

    • +4

      Agree with this.
I've been wearing them 5 days a week for a couple of months and they just will not mould to my foot at all.
Extremely stiff and heels slip every step.
My new balances and Brooks feel like walking on clouds compared to these.

      • yeah - I'm happy with Brooks and just bought another pair of rainbow shoes - pair $69+shipping, total around $78 - arrived looking genuine and good quality - ordered US size 9.5 to match my Oz 8.5 men's and it's a match.

looks like price dropped to $55 - https://www.ozsale.com.au/product/Brooks-Brooks-Men-s-Trace-…

      • Made an order, read this, cancelled the order! How annoying is it when the shoes don't hug your heel! Thank you sir/mam

        • Doesn't cancelling it just sends a message requesting a cancellation. Did they respond?

          • @bohn: Not yet

            • @ichatting: have you got your 'cancellation request was denied' email yet?

anyway, I think we can just not open it, and start a return.

              • @bohn: Nothing yet. Good idea, Is it free returns?

                • @ichatting: I just got my email from them saying cannot be cancelled.

Well, the listing has free returns seller pays for returns… so I would have thought so 'Returns: 30-day returns. Seller pays for return postage'

                  • @bohn: My cancellation got rejected as well haha, I'll try them on and if they're truly not good, I'll return. I think they're counting on people not returning / forgetting all about it

    • +6

How are these even comparable to Pegasus lol
People who buy these SHOULD buy them for chores or garden shoes or rain beaters or whatever.

You can’t seriously tell me you bought these as performance shoes??

      • +4

No. I bought the black version to wear to work and home. 6 mins walk from home to the train and 10 mins from train to work.
I have my work shoes in the locker.
So I wear them roughly for 2 hours 2 days a week and it is not even worth it.
What I’m trying to say is pay extra and get better shoes than paying $36 and end up ditching it

    • Doesn’t lock your heel down while you walk. Feels extremely cheap.

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/763958

I bought this from last deal, totally uncomfortable for me.

    • I agree about the heel. This shoe kinda feels like it has a wide area for the heel (too wide) and okay area for the middle of the foot (maybe slightly narrow for some people).

    • +2

your comment is what the neg option was made for… Please use it so people can find your comment - otherwise it looks like all positive votes.

    • Received mine today, and yeah, they don't lock the heel down at all. Cheap rubbish. Not worth $36 at all.

    • Additionally, the insoles are horrible. I don't know what they're made of, but they wear out and start to disintegrate after a couple of months. I ended up putting insoles from my old shoes in and it made them much better, but shouldn't have to do that.

Edit: Thanks for the deal though OP, it looks great if you haven't worn the shoes.

  • Thanks OP, despite the reviews it's worth taking a chance

  • +1

Cheers! Will take the chance too! Same could be said about Ultraboost and I used to run with tthem..had no major issues as people said they are only good for walking lol

    • +3

Don’t do it. Not even comfortable walking on these. Heels keep slipping

  • +4

These are trash. Don't waste your money

    • +2

      what's a $40 shoe that's not trash?

      • +2

        Username checks out.

        • -5

that's not how to use it

          nice try

        • He's not wrong though.. people justify paying $650 for RM's here because of quality, so by logic, these SHOULD be trash.

      • Last two pairs of shoes I bought on OzB deals were about this or cheaper, and have been great. I think the problem here is Adidas.

        • mine are fine

  • +1

I bought a pair of these last time and ended up sending them back. Really cheap and poor quality. They felt like cheap Kmart shoes and had all glue marks on them.

    • +2

They are Kmart prices but have 3 stripes on them, so there better

  • Would they last long enough for half maraphon? Are they stiff enough to cause runner's knee?

    • yes

    • I have a very similar crap-tier pair of Adidas that I've been using for trail running on a work trip to a very remote locality.. the shoes hold up fine for distances of 8-10k.

I have, in the past few months, recovered from a stress fracture and started running again with very, very mild sensitivity. These shoes are no different for my pain than takumi sens or vaporflys, and I've continued to recover.

You could get away with using them on a half marathon if you have just been running in beaters and never had any issues before. If it's your first one, you'll probably have some pain and niggles and other manageable issues pop up afterwards, but they'd probabyl be more attributable to muscle weaknesses than footwear (and this is fine… No point doing core/leg training 3x a week if you just want to do a recreational half-marathon).

  • +3

Thanks op bought another pair. Adidas Galaxy series lasts longer than those other Adidas foam shoes

    • how have you found them interms of comfort/longer walks?

  • +5

These are good for walking. Used these to walk inside Disneyland for 3 days back to back from morning till end of day. No foot pain the next day.

    • +3

Damn, I was planning to go to Universal Studios.

Will need to look for something different it seems.

  • I have these. Don’t buy these.

  • These guys don't / won't issue tax invoices but they are Adidas Australia store?

  • -1

    Added Ass or Adeedas?

    • A-Die-Daz

  • could I run a marathon in these?

    • +2

yes. you could run a marathon in crocs if you really wanted to.

Over 240 votes & 11K clicks so far which means you know how to spot an OzB member out in public. OzB official shoes for summer 2024.

    • how to spot an OzB member out in public.

From the sounds of this thread, it'll be the one with the uncomfortable gait.

  • +8

Clicked through and ebay said over 20,300 viewed over the last 24 hours. the power of ozb

Anyway, after bringing the wrong pair of shoes to japan and suffered terribly; i went on a hunt for the most comfy walking shoes and here's my list atm. Remember this is my personal list that may or may not be useful if you just want comfy walking shoes. Ultraboosts was my go to for years but it's been focused more towards runners recently so I went looking for others. None of these are $36 though so…

    Top Picks

    • +1

sheesh the Balos only came out this month didn't it? Glad to hear it's good

I'll be curious to hear how the More v5 compares to the other Fresh Foams too

I'm not a runner, so I've been considering the 991v2 as my first foray into FuelCell

      • +2

yeah just came out.. its on my feet right now. It's a bit overpriced I think - but I had 12.5% cashback from myamexshop and $50 in amex cashback (spend $300). it's good, i'd say its a mix between the 1080v13 and the fuelcell v4.

i haven't tested anything not on this list so im sure there's some I have missed. I'm not a runner as well. from what i understand fuelcell tends to be marketed towards runner, but i like that bouncy feeling when walking as well.

    • Crikey.

For 'walking around a city' I've just worn whatever shoes I happen to be travelling with (often hiking boots or approach shoes), with Superfeet insoles.

  • free returns on these anyway it seems - so shouldn't be an issue if they are shit

    • pretty sure if it is free returns if unopened unused

I don't think you can use it and then return it

However you may have some warranty or entitled to ACL claim

      • +1

I wasn't sure how the box was sealed but I imagine you could try them on inside your house to check the fit and then return?

Anyway if someone was put off by the comments in the thread they could just return once it arrives.

        • ya dunno hey

I mean even though they say they are official the person on ebay selling them has poor English.

Couldn't and wouldn't send me a tax invoice.

  • +1

More than 13k clicks on the link above as of this comment, but on eBay only more than 2k sold …

Maybe proof that most people here are interested with very cheap/low price (looking for bargains of course) but don't want to buy this because of some bad reviews here, but so many recent good reviews on eBay …

    • -3

people here can't be figured out they just neg or upvote or talk shit

  • Got one, thanks ;-)

    • Wait until you try them on before you say thanks…

  • -2

What's this we are working on it bullshit.. ?

    • I returned mine via some hub and eBay didn’t track it. Had to chat with eBay and they had to initiate the refund from their end

      • +1

I returned mine via some hub and eBay didn’t track it

        annoying.

they finally created a label for me, which I guess I'll take to a post office.

using ebay is not nearly as good as using amazon. first time in awhile using ebay.. I really don't miss it.

      • Dropped mine off at the hub today. No tracking receipt or anything. Hope refund will arrive without any issues..

        • Hopefully yours tracked. Mine didn’t. Had to chat with ebay rep to get refund
