This oven was $399 at Bunnings last week (and still $399-499 at other retailers). Unsure if this is a permanent new price, but it's certainly a great price for a gas pizza oven.

  • 3 sided burner layout for optimum heat dispersion inside the oven
  • Features a removeable pizza stone for easy cleaning

  • probably a Father's Day promo

    i got one of these 6mth ago for $130

    https://www.bunnings.com.au/jumbuck-portable-pizza-oven_p043…

    • The main difference is 3 sided burners vs 1 burner at the back.

      • Another main diff is that with that extra inch, the pizzas can be ~1/3 larger.

        That's given an estimated 1 inch margin each side, so pizzas are 10" vs 11".

  • Lol, at least getting an oven. Posted this deal. I got a gas connector if someone wants it for free :). In WA.

    And was a picture of pizza oven and all details said oven and not just the connector. They changed it after.

    Cooks pizza in 2 minutes and is ready for use after heating for 20 minutes

    So if you want 1 pizza, it takes a minimum of 22 minutes

    • Now do the maths for a regular oven.

      • -2

        5 mins to heat, 12 mins to cook = 17 mins

        • +6

          Incorrect, a regular oven will never reach pizza cooking temp.

          • +1

            @jamesvdm: That must be the reason to cook it for 12 minutes, not 2.

          • -1

            @jamesvdm: Mine does.

            • @jv: Same here JV.

              My oven does a superb job heating up to 200c for when Dr Oetkers are half price at Coles.

                @clandestino:

                heating up to 200c

                Mine heats to 250°C

                Good enough for pizza…

                • +2

                  @jv: Find it hard to believe that your oven gets to 250 degrees in 5min.
                  Also you sound like someone who prefers Domino’s over a Neapolitan style pizza 😆

                    Find it hard to believe that your oven gets to 250 degrees in 5min.

                    Just get a good oven…

                    • @jv: Have it already…

                  • @Frogy:

                    someone who prefers Domino’s over a Neapolitan style pizza

                    I make my own….

                      @jv: You missed the point…

                    • @jv: So worse than Domino's then, got it.

    • +1

      And if you wanted 5 pizzas it would be 30 minutes… The 2 minute cooking time is well worth mentioning.

        And if you wanted 5 pizzas

      Yep I got lucky and bought one, huge learning curve for me.

    • I got one of those but they are no where near as good as the Gozney, which the Cozze seems comparable to. It is indeed a good introduction to these style of pizza ovens but the edges burn very quickly.

      • Only the back burns quickly if you don't rotate it fast enough…. Which then become the edges I guess

        • No, it's the front edges, they even start to flame up. I turned it right down, but for some reason I get the edges burnt black.

    Mitre 10 has a 12” at the moment for $179, which also comes with a Pizza Peel, Cutter and a Carry Bag: https://www.mitre10.com.au/grilled-portable-gas-pizza-oven-w…

  • I think this is the GEN1 version. GEN2 I believe has an LED light and maybe burns slightly higher / cooks quicker (maybe)

    I bought a factory seconds gen 2 recently (damaged box for $250) and I refererred to the bunnings ones and the shops said they were Gen 1. Maybe clearing them out I guess?

    • +2

      Id wait for GEN3 version.

      Rumoured to be coming with OLED.

    Ooni 12" only 2 side burners and 14Mjh bunnings has 18Mjh with 3 sides could be a winner. Stone thickness is part of next pizza heat recovery.
    I've got the kegland gas pizza oven I want to update and be interested in taking a look at this

    • The Cozze stone is 10mm thick.

      • Put a pizza steel in it.

  • any one recommend a pizza peel? preferablly timber?

  • Anyone that has used both one of these and an Ooni pellet oven that can compare? Thinking of switching to a gas oven.

  • id get the aldi one thats coming up on saturday, its 199 but the big selling point is the turnable stone, im gonna pick one up Saturday, basically removing the need to turn the pizza manually with the peel, it also has a 13 inch circular stone, when it comes to manual turning which most people cant get done or hate doing so, its very manually taxing to do it that way, the turnable stone makes is way easier and less likely to burn the pizza which is very common if you are not a pro which most aren't. watch any video with a turntable stone on youtube and you will see how nicely and evenly cooked the pizza comes out vs one where you need to do the turning through out the cook time with the peel swerving and deflecting heat etc, some say thats the fun part but nah not for me im just interested in having the best cooked pizza with the least amount of work. thats probably the best value pizza oven that i can think off and ive been looking around. the next step up is the cozze 17 inch with auto rotating stone at 799 dollars. too big of a jump for me to pay x4 the price for something that is 17" vs 13" and manual rotate vs auto rotate
