Awesome hot sauce. Have tried the original and Jalapeno both amazing.
A little on the expensive side but definitely worth it. Got the 3 variety pack on the way.

My partner likes this. I personally like something a bit hotter.
It’s really nice and personally it’s worth the money.

    • I'm the same. the 3 pack comes with the 'Hotter' version and can get individually

Hotter version is still not very hot…

But yeah, nice for something different!

        • Yea. I personally don’t find any of these hot sauces hot, my partner on the other hand finds the hot sauce hot, and the hotter sauce too hot to use. So it is a very personal thing on how “hot” hot is.

For the price I hope it actually contains actual truffle oil.

    • Looking at the ingredients it does contain both real black truffle and truffle oil that has the synthetic stuff in it. Unclear how much real truffle is in it, with how they list their ingredients.

    • Yes. I believe it actually does. It tastes like it.

For it to “taste like it” it would need about $100 of real truffle in every bottle

        Obviously, it doesn’t have that

There’s no such thing as “real truffle oil”, just truffle infused oil (which is truffle placed in the oil to permeate) and truffle oil which is usually artificially flavoured (sometimes with a minuscule amount of C or D grade truffle addded) and smells like petroleum

      This is the overpriced latter

      • This does also have some real truffle, but I would assume not a lot. I think I would prefer to get a down payment on a real truffle and add to my cheap hot sauce.

        • Yes, a minuscule amount that makes the ingredient list “look good” without adding any particular flavour benefit after the “truffle aroma” is added

          • @linkindan: Interesting.
I found this one tastes better than other truffle sauces I have bought before. I know the “petroleum” smell/taste you mean and this sauce doesn’t have it (for me).
But as will all things it’s really an individual preference.

  • Spicy price!

  • For the price I hope it doesn’t burn coming out

  • Why are hot sauces so incredibly expensive?

    • They aren't. Plenty of cheap options out there. My current hot sauce was $8 for 1L

      • What’s that one?

        • This one.

But not available at the moment.

          • @Aureus: That's a good one. I like the extra hot version. Neither is actually hot, but they have a great flavour.
Mexico doesn't really do spicy food. It's the TexMex lot that like to burn their nose hairs off.

          • @Aureus: I have that. For some reason, I thought it was more of a cooking sauce, than a dipping sauce.

  • Thanks! Keen to try this

20% sugar. Definitely on the high side.

    • 20% sounds high but considering it's 5g for a serve or 1g of sugar should not be making or breaking any diet.

I'll be having an extra serve just for you

  • It's a truffle expensive.
