Getting worth, use to be 10 for 100, and then 150, 200,now 250

What is this, an offer for ants?

  • Better than nth

  • Don’t mind small credit amount, a saving is a saving.

The problem I think is I’m getting less and less good deal from Amazon compared to local retailers, small and large. With less to buy from Amazon, I don’t need to keep my money in the form of gift card, especially $250 isn’t a small amount.

Thanks. Bought one. We have subscribe and save for every month. It never hurts to get any discount possible

    • I thought you can’t use gift cards payment for s&s.

      • You can, you need to ensure the box is ticked to use Gift Card before your CC during setup / purchase or in the subscription settings:

Always use your Amazon Gift Card balance when available ✅

  • Can use the TCB 5 off 50 purchase on any retailer

    • Do you mean this $5 cashback on $40 purchase? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/861849

Amazon's T&Cs: Cashback is ineligible on purchase of gift cards.

      • Yeahhh

        • Unfortunately you cannot buy gift cards with TA's cashback offer.

          • @trixieb: Where exactly does it say that? I must be blind, can't find it in t&cs

            • +2

              @sqheaven:

For this bonus cashback promotion, cashback is eligible at any retailer advertised on TopCashbackAU provided the terms for that retailer are adhered to. Familiarise yourself with the terms of the retailers prior to purchase. Use of any codes (unless listed on TopCashbackAU) will invalidate the offer.

              From the TC Amazon page:

Cashback is ineligible on purchase of gift cards, vouchers, Kindle Unlimited, Audible, mobile apps, Amazon Prime subscriptions & renewals, bulk orders, commercial or reseller purchases.

              • @Hiphopopotamus: Time to buy peanut butter, thanks

                • @sqheaven: But I can use a GC to pay for 40$ right?

                  • +1

@sqheaven: Yes, you can pay with gift cards.

Cashback is eligible if using a gift card or Amazon gift card balance as payment on an eligible category.

                    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/859602

                    • @trixieb: That's sweet, meaning spend 250, then get 10 promo credit. And spend 40 to get 5 back. Not bad aye

                      • @sqheaven: If you received the $10 promo credit in the account, you cannot use this promo credit to part pay the $40 as cashback will be rejected. Either spend the $10 first or if you can, untick the box with the $10 credit so it would not be used to pay for the $40 offer with TCB.

Cashback is ineligible when using any Amazon credit as partial or full payment.

                        • @trixieb: That's tricky now 😂

                          • +1

@sqheaven: I've had this credit before. I spent it first to avoid issues. Then do the cashback offer. Sometimes you can untick the box for the credit so it doesn't apply to the cashback purchase.

                  • +1

@sqheaven: Yeah GC payment is fine.

I wonder what discount Amazon staff get, the ones that work in the warehouse.

  • I think I’ll wait for the usual $10 for $150 at preezee

    • Any preezee deal in the last few months? I thought preezee has been silent since last year.

@Bii @prankster I researched Prezzee in this post with links to the articles:

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/15487210/redir

        • Prezzee recorded a statutory $79.2m net loss for the 18 months to December 31 after a $38.9m loss in the previous financial year.
        • Prezzee's co-founder left recently in May 2024 with several senior staff. Nearly a dozen senior figures who have left in the past 18 months, including the heads of human resources in Australia and the United States, where the company focused its efforts.
        • Prezzee also lost its chief financial officer, chief digital officer, chief commercial officer, chief marketing officer, its Australian managing director and the president of its US operation.
        • Due to a dispute, Amazon US no longer supplies its gift cards to Prezzee. This would be a major loss for Prezzee as Amazon is the most popular gift card in the US.
        • The Financial Review has revealed doubts about Prezzee’s $1 billion valuation, a figure not drawn from a share sale but from Morgan Stanley, provided as part of a pitch to float the business in 2021, a period when valuations for technology firms were sky-high.

It would be advisable to convert the swappable eGift cards to the brands and retailers of your choice and save copies or take screenshots in case Prezzee goes bust.

Thanks mate converted my last two $10 cards

  • Works out to be 4% bonus back in credit. I skip unless I have something to buy.

  • +1

I’m still waiting for my $10.
How long did it take for everyone else?
I was able to apply promo code.

    • @Owgasm Have you received the $10 yet? If not, please contact Amazon customer service. Thanks.

      From Amazon:

      • The $10 credit for your next eligible order will be applied to your account within 2 business days of you receiving your purchase.
      • After receiving a confirmation email that your credit has been applied, it should appear in the 'Promotion(s) Applied' field in your order summary at Checkout. It will not appear on your Gift Card Balance.
    • +1

Nope, ordered on the 21st and nothing yet. Might have to contact them.

  • Is there a limit of how many $10 credit/cards I can get?

    • +2

@Amotti I contacted Amazon and chatted with the rep Mahesh N. There is no limit on the number of $10 credit for each $250 Amazon gift card order per Prime member. He confirmed with another colleague while I waited.

The offer is limited to the first 2,000 Prime members. I checked with the rep. As long as you are able to enter the promo code PRIMEGIFT24 at checkout, the 2,000 limit hasn't been reached yet.

Please note that a few people in the comments above have mentioned not getting the $10 credit automatically. You will have to contact Amazon if you don't get the $10 credit. I've had to contact Amazon for similar credits recently as their system hasn't generated automatically.

      • +1

@trixieb - thank you my friend, legend!

  • +2

I contacted Amazon support and they told me to wait another 48 hours. I waited another 48 hours and still nothing so I contacted chat support again and this time they instantly credited $10.

    • +1

I also had to contact Amazon support twice after waiting a few days to get a similar credit.

  • This promo has now ended. The offers are getting worse.

Unfortunately Amazon has replaced with $10 Credit For Next Order When You Buy $300 or More Amazon Gift Cards.
