$5 Bonus Cashback on $40 Spend in One Transaction at Any Retailer @ TopCashback AU (Activation Required, Includes Amazon, eBay*)

3270

Hi everyone and happy FriYAY! If you haven't joined TCB, do so today to enjoy the most generous everyday cashback rates and a highest cashback guarantee!

For today’s deal, we're offering a $5 bonus when you shop at any of our online retailers and spend at least $40 in a single transaction. Please check the terms for your retailer of choice prior to tapping out as each may have specific conditions especially around code use, purchase and/or use of gift cards etc. Ensure you first activate the bonus then click/tap the pink cashback button from your retailer of choice on TopCashbackAU.

  • Amazon has all categories eligible for cashback & bonus.
  • eBay* special condition: Use of any eBay coupon code will make the transaction ineligible for cashback, except for APDAY24 coupon code (as listed on TCB).

Thanks for your support as always 🙏
Stay safe, and enjoy 😊

Please read the following terms & handy tips carefully:

1. To participate in the $5 bonus cashback promotion, you must be a member of TopCashback.com.au and must first activate the offer prior to making a single eligible transaction of $40 or more through one of our retailers .
2. After activation, transaction must be made between 00:00 and 23:59 AEST (16/08/2024).
3. For this bonus cashback promotion, cashback is eligible at any retailer advertised on TopCashbackAU provided the terms for that retailer are adhered to. Familiarise yourself with the terms of the retailers prior to purchase. Use of any codes (unless listed on TopCashbackAU) will invalidate the offer.
4. Your order must be made in a single transaction and may contain more than one item, but the order total must be at least $40 (inclusive of GST, and excluding shipping). Some retailers report orders excluding GST so the amount shown in your TopCashbackAU account may be less than $40 (this is ok). Multiple items in an order may report as separate items in your account for retailers such as Amazon & eBay (this is ok).
5. Bonus cashback will show as a separate entry in your TopCashback account once your order tracks, and will be payable once your order is payable. Tracking is not instant and may take up to 7 days to report.
6. Bonus cashback is over and above any retailers' advertised cashback rates.
7. Tell-a-Friend, sign-up bonuses, free cashback retailers and new member deals will not count as a purchase towards the bonus cashback.
8. Only one TopCashback.com.au account per person is allowed, and bonus cashback is limited to one per TopCashbackAU member.
9. Bonus cashback may not automatically apply to purchases where a missing cashback claim needs to be lodged. If this is the case and your claim is successful, you may need to raise a separate support ticket to be awarded the bonus. Do not lodge a missing cashback claim until at least 7 days have passed.
10. TopCashbackAU will not be held responsible for any technical failure or otherwise which prevents participation in this promotion.
11. Where a contradiction exists between the offer terms & conditions and TopCashbackAU terms & conditions, the offer terms & conditions take precedence until the offer expires.
12. Any fraudulent activity will result in rewards being forfeited and accounts closed.

Handy tips:

Tracking can take anywhere up to 7 days, depending on retailer. For tracking success, ensure you disable 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave, close any additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from TopCashbackAU as tracking will be lost. TopCashbackAU must be your very last click/tap prior to purchase. Try our iOS/Android mobile app for great tracking results. Use our Help Centre & Contact form here for any questions or issues.

  • A $40 Amazon gift card from Amazon?

    • +5

Unfortunately not. As I stated in the OP, please familiarise yourself with the terms of whatever retailer you choose. Here are the terms for Amazon which clearly state gift card purchases are not eligible:

      https://www.topcashback.com.au/amazon/

    • -2

      Can anyone confirm this works?

  • Thanks TA
Noob question, does Amazon S&S (initial subscription) also count to the $40 spend?

    • +3

Yes it does. But as I stated in the OP, please read all the terms of the retailer you choose prior to purchase. Thanks.

  • paying with Ebay gift cards on Ebay ok?

    • +3

As above, please check the retailer's terms :)

      https://www.topcashback.com.au/ebay/

Cashback is ineligible on the following: any coupon code use (unless specifically listed on TopCashback); travel category items; charity & non-profit items; shipping; eBay plus memberships; purchase of any gift cards; best offer accepted prices & auctions; purchases using any type of voucher or eBay credit. Note: payments made with eBay gift cards are eligible for cashback.

The Ts and Cs says that for Amazon purchases made with gift card (whether partial or full) are ineligible for cash back. This seems contrary to every other cash back deal related to Amazon. Can you confirm if this is the case?

Also, is there any chance TCB will enable app to app tracking, as currently it’s really annoying to try and make a purchase on mobile through the TCB app.

    • The Ts and Cs says that for Amazon purchases made with gift card (whether partial or full) are ineligible for cash back.

May I please ask where you're seeing that? It's definitely not on TCB's Amazon page.

      • -4

“Cashback is ineligible when using any Amazon credit as partial or full payment”

Under what will stop me from getting cashback

        • +3

Amazon credit is not gift card balance. They are different beasts.

Still would like to know where you're seeing the part about gift card use being ineligible. Thanks.

    • I think you're confusing credit with gift cards.

      • +1

Ah ok yes I assumed credit and gift card balance are interchangeable. Thanks for clarifying!

    • +1

@timmylol T&Cs under What else is essential:

Cashback is eligible if using a gift card or Amazon gift card balance as payment on an eligible category.

      https://www.topcashback.com.au/amazon/

    • Usually in these situations I prefer to use credit card for payment even tho I still got plenty of credits.

  • What does the asterisk allude to after eBay in title?

    Includes Amazon, eBay*

    • +2

      In the OP:

Use of any eBay codes is ineligible, except for APDAY24 (listed on TCB).

  • +2

Tracking is poor, the 10% AliExpress wasn't track, submitted the ticket says up to 90 days, I am still waiting till this day no response.

I have a few more that didn't track and still waiting for response

    • +2

Are you sure it was an affiliated product, and if you're having other tracking issues, perhaps the issue lies elsewhere. Anyway, there's no need to worry. Please note that as per the email response you receive when you initially lodge a claim, there is nothing further to do but wait. We will only contact you if we require further information. You can track your claim here:

      https://www.topcashback.com.au/account/enquiries/missingcash…

      • Hi TA, I made a purchase from Specsavers back in June. It was tracked but the purchase amount under "Earnings" only showed $0.00. Submitted a claim in July. Claim Status is "Waiting for Retailer". However, I have just noticed today that the cashback has been declined under "Earnings" tab. That's a bit confusing. Could you please advise on what to do? Would you be able to assist?

        • Out of interest, did you buy contacts or glasses? As it tracked at $0 I'm guessing it was glasses which are ineligible for cashback. Anyway, please turn on your messaging and shoot me a PM. Thank you.

          • @tightarse: Thanks for your speedy response TA.

I bought glasses. TopCashback had cashback for glasses back in June.

I'm a new OZB user. Private message is throttled for new user accounts less than 1 day old. Can I PM you tomorrow after the restriction is lifted?

  • Pre-orders for games on Amazon all good with this deal? Preorder will dispatch in 30 days from now

    • +1

Yes, as long as shipped within 60 days.

      • +1

Amazon tends to track well with TCB, gonna give it a shot cheers

    • +2

Hi. I've just had a look at network level and can't see the code listed anywhere as being eligible. My gut says is should be fine especially if it auto-applies, but it's totally up to you if you want to risk it. However if it doesn't track we can't do much about it unfortunately. Sorry but I can't be more transparent than that. Good luck!

  • what is everyone buying?

    • Nothing really catching my eye. Did you find anything?

      • bought my stuff yesterday if only I knew about today :(

      • +1

@Bdawg Probably less options where you are located. Popular retailers are Chemist Warehouse, Amazon and eBay. Also Big W, Target and Supercheap Auto listed on TopCashback.

        • Yeah no chemist warehouse here :(

  • Hi TA,

Thank you as always! Are topcashback going to get H&M?

I have made a purchase this morning from Iherb without activating offer! oops!

    • +1

Pleasure. We're onboarding new retailers daily, and H&M is certainly on our radar. All the best :)

  • Yo TA,

Any upcoming boosted sign up bonuses on the horizon? The only thing stopping me from joining TCB is a decent sign up bonus.

  • Thread hijacking but how long do missing cashback claims usually take to be reviewed/processed @TA? Got 3 @ 3 weeks…

    • +1

Please see here. It's totally up to the retailer. We have no control over speed to process unfortunately. Thanks.

  • Was about to use for doordash but wont work.. hmm what next

  • For Amazon, is "initial subscription" the first subscription of a particular product, or the first subscription you're going to subscribe in your Amazon account for any product? I've subscribed (and cancelled) for many products before, so not sure if cashback works for a new subscription for a new product that I haven't subscribed to before.

    • +1

      @GreenRomeo

is "initial subscription" the first subscription of a particular product

Yes includes first Subscribe & Save of a particular product in an eligible category.

not sure if cashback works for a new subscription for a new product that I haven't subscribed to before.

      Cashback will be eligible.

When you cancel any previous subscriptions and subscribe again, it will be considered as first Subscribe & Save and be eligible for cashback. You can have several first Subscribe & Save items in the same transaction to be eligible for cashback. Second and subsequent Subscribe & Save orders are ineligible for cashback

      • +1

        This ^^ is correct :)

      • +1

Awesome, thanks for the explanation and confirmation!

  • What happens if one of the items in my order is "Temporarily out of stock" but Amazon allows me to add it to my order?

    • +2

As long as it is shipped within 60 days it will get approved.

  • Wow TA is back.

Cuz of TA, I am willing to try TCB once again.

  • Is this for Amazon AU only?

    • +3

Purchases from Amazon US/UK, provided you navigate & make the transaction via Amazon AU.

Topcashback kept my referral's money. I referred 3 people in my family, then 11 months ago they all got asked to ID themselves, then they were ok. So they been spending money for last year, and Topcashback suddenly closed down all 3 of their accounts saying they are too similar. They can't even login to their accounts to see how much money owed so I gave the kids $200 each as I blame myself for referring them. How can they shut down accounts after they went through ID process? Any place they can complain to to recover money? They asked Topcashback support and they were told accounts are too similar, we closed them.

    • What I can tell you is that the fraud team in the UK take this very seriously and have all sorts of tools to detect fraudulent activity (for want of a better word). They don't shut down accounts at a whim without thorough investigation. Referrals are a major cause of fraud for most companies, in particular cashback sites. I'd be happy to take a look if you like, but can't promise I can fix things without UK intervention. Thank you.

    • +1

I referred a family member and they met all the spend requirements etc - the referral didn't even show up in my list. So yeah, TCB is the worst for referring family members amongst them all.

The same people had zero issues @ CR & SB

    • +1

No idea relevance to here, pure speculation, but speaking as someone that has worked with teams in this sort of capacity/function (fraud, big data analysis, campaign management) i have seen such mistakes happen through (careless) aggregate data decision making, inadequate validations to detect exceptions, incorrect handling when correlating data sets, even basic human error using wrong point in time data for exports/imports. No matter what tools or how big the data, rules & algorithms tend to be only a good as the person managing/policing them.

The layers of bureaucracy and disinterest between the person who can take up your cause and the person who can do something about it is by far the biggest challenge. At least TA is here and always has a crack.

  • these guys are still advertising a revolut signup offer that they do not payout
can't really trust them for anything else

    • What do you mean? It clearly says on the website there is no cashback for them? This is no different to CR or SB when their partners switch cashback offers on and off. It remains on their website but make it clear there is no cashback.

We found 1 result for Revolut

      Revolut
      No Cashback

      • +1

20 minutes ago it said $20 cashback, now it says no cashback
They must have read my post and updated their site lol

But when I signed up to Revolut it said $20 cashback and I got nothing

        • Reach out to @tightarse via PM with your details, and he will investigate. He helped me out a few times already. You might get lucky.

        • +1

@pennypacker42069 I saw the $20 Revolut cashback this week.

  • Thanks OP. Wondered are you still a prep with CR, SB or moved completely to TCB?

    • Please see here :)

      • Wohooo hope you more often on here! Long live TA!! ;)

  • +3

Instead of saying 17/8 12 am. Please say 16/8 11:59 pm. I hate am/pm system, especially on written form, as is already.

  • Does TopCashback even track purchases? With Cashrewards, I usually receive an email almost immediately after making a purchase. However, TopCashback doesn't even show my purchase as a click-through, just browsing.

    • +1

You need to compare apples with apples. Every retailer tracks at different speeds, some can take 24 hours or more (Amazon). It’s a function of the API feed and not the publisher. You can check the very last click you made to any retailer here:

      https://www.topcashback.com.au/account/earnings/clicks/

      • Thanks for the information TA.

        • +1

          Anytime 👍

  • My purchase with Chemist Warehouse tracked in about 3.5 hours and the $5 bonus is showing in my account.
    Thanks TA :)

  • Thanks, TA.
QQ, what is the reasonable timeframe to wait when the cashback is confirmed but outstanding? I have one that gone into outstanding status early in the week.

    • Hey buddy. It all depends on the retailer and very difficult to quantify. If it's taken longer than say 6 or 7 weeks after being confirmed, let me know. Some retailers may approve 1 or 2 weeks after being confirmed. This link may also help explain. All the best :)

  • Is the seller code from Amazon acceptable?
    Something like this Anker?

are Amazon click to apply vouchers/coupons for specific products eligible for cashback? thanks

  • Amazon/bonus tracking came through, took around ~6 hours.

  • Interesting, I purchased from Aliexpress and got the $5 bonus from top cashback, as well as the other cashback for Aliexpress. Also have Bonus Westpac Cashback from Shopback as i used a Westpac card that is linked to Shopback, and it seems they had a bonus offer on at the time. Had no idea about the Shopback deal, and assume there will be a problem with the bonus cashback somewhere as there is cashback from both topcashback and Shopback. No idea what to do.
