Bridgestone 225/40R18 92W Potenza Adrenalin RE003 Tyres, 4x Fitted for $765 @ Costco (Membership Required)

980

With a Costco membership, you can get 4 of these tyres at $765 installed. However, even without one, it sounds like Bob Jane should price beat down to $750 based on their price match policy. Costco price is here: https://www.costco.com.au/Tyres-Automotive/Tyres/Bridgestone…

I uploaded a screenshot as you need to have a membership just to see the price.

            • @Tuttorix: Sure, but Re003 at 90% tread and wear performs worse than 0% wear of linglong or winrun. The resistance might be better for the first couple of weeks, potentially months but tapers off quickly. As I said, I only really drive performance cars and run these tyres with no issues braking, no aquaplaning, insurance is also up to date.

Would prefer a tyre that lasts 80K kms over one that lasts 25K because the advantages quickly become disadvantages as they wear quicker etc.

          • @Darude Sandstorm: I mean it’s more than being tracked, it’s if you drive your car in the wet, or value braking distance in an emergency.

          • @Darude Sandstorm: nah, the GR deserve much better tyres than winruns.

PS5 is really good value, they last a really long time.

i daily them and also track them. 20k km with 3 track days and 1 motorkhana i still have about 50% life left? could easily get another 10k km and 2 more track days before it's due for a change.

Ling longs fitted on rota wheels.

          chefs kiss

        • Lol I've seen several late model Mercs and BMWs with nice wheels and yes you guessed it, cheap chinese tyres. Spending so much money and cheapening out on the most important aspect.

    • who sells Ling longs Tyres. Have you used them and what is your experience?

  • I purchased my car 2nd hand awd 5 years ago and haven't changed tyres yet, tyre store said I have another 3 months of wear easy the other month. cheap chinese rubber

will these get me a solid 10 years?

    • Only if you drive about 3000km per year!

      • about 12,000km a year!

        • Then you'll be lucky to get 3 years, RE003's are soft and wear quickly.

          • @billy_bob: tyres that wear faster provide more grip?

            • @Bearlion: Yes, that is the trade off. Although Goodyear F1 Assymetric 5 have good grip and longer life. More expensive though.

  • does anyone know if they checked the membership card when installing the tyre? for example can someone purchase the tyres using my costco login online and bring their car in without my membership to get it installed?

    • +1

Just get a membership and immediately refund it after the tires are fitted. You have to wait six months to get a membership again though

  • Anyone know the tread wear rating?

I have the Winrun 330XL's on mine 255/35R20 and paid around $480 fitted all up for 4 tyres. Great tyre, have used these the last 10 years on my cars without fail.

      Have you used re003?

      • -1

I had the Potenza on my Mazda3. Didn't last long and new tires got the Winrun's.

        • -1

No they don’t last long as they are soft rubber, hence why they are better.

          https://www.tyrereviews.com/Article/2024-Sports-Car-Tyre-Tes…

“ Lacking wet grip and dangerous driving behavior, delayed steering with poor balance and treacherous oversteering on both wet and dry roads, dangerously long braking distances.”

          Solid review.

@onlinepred: Better for who, the seller so you can keep buying them?

I have a Tesla doing 0 to 100 in 3.8sec and I have the Winrun's on. No noticeable difference in driving or handling in dry or wet. Grip is amazing and I put my foot down every occasion I get.

But each to their own… And reviews are always in favour of the sponsor, and we know who sponsors those reviews.

@Logical: Your car does more adjustments for traction in a ms than a ICE car does in a second.

  • I'm surprised no one asked about the Manufacture date of these tires.

  • Can anyone recommend tyres for a 2019 Honda Odyssey?

      michelin pilot sport 5

      • PS5 on Odyssey is too OP. Primacy 4+ is better. they last a bit longer too.

        • -1

Paid $850 fitted at JaxTyre last year for PS5, used to use Primacy 3s but find the weight rating is not suit for the car.

PS5 is more solid and handle better, Primacy used for around 40K and PS5 used around 30K now still has 40-50% left. With free tyre rotation every 6 months.

  • I just paid $347 for one Bridgestone Alenza of the same size due to an unexpected blowout 💀

as a ozbargainer, you should buy 2 more to get 1 free and 3 as spare

  • RE003 or Potenza Sport for an extra $60 for 4?

    235 40 R18 for reference
    RE003 $740ish
    Potenza Sport $800ish

    • I’d got the sport. Newer designed tyre. The RE003 is old.

    Fantastic price for great tyres!

  • Anyone have any recommendation for 225x55 R19 tyres for my H6?
