Is the description lifted from a wine bottle

    "A bright, fruit-forward scent
Top notes are green leaves and apple
Heart notes are mimosa and lotus
Base notes are amber, oak moss, moss and cedar
It is perfect for all occasions"

I don't buy the wine either!

nice scents but doesn't last long

    • -2

It's because Eau de Toilette, not Eau de Parfum. That's why it doesn't last long …

      • +4

That's a general rule of thumb but not always true. Lots of EDT formulations project louder and last longer than their EDP counterpart.

Nautica Voyage just doesnt have much longevity as a scent. It doesn't really have anything to do with it being an EDT.

    • Well you don't want to stink like it all day, you just want a hint of it.

  • +8

It’s also the same price at your local chemist warehouse as I didn’t wanna pay for Amazon delivery (non prime member here).

Pleasant, lightweight scent. Doesn't really last. Not bad as a room freshener!

Bought once - in no rush to buy again.

I don't think so. Most of my other EdTs last well (think Issey Miyake, Paco Rabanne - and even Hugo Boss). Nautica just doesn't go the distance.

        • +1

Issey Miyake Eau de Toilette doesn't last long. I had this previously. Or maybe you spray a lot more :P

    • I've tried a couple of the Nautica bottles. To me they are quite poor. Scent is very unappealing. Like those cheap commercial after shaves they sell for $5. Probably is but they slap on the brand name and charge and extra $15. Even more for regular price

I bought this a couple Chemist Warehouse sales ago for this price. It is ok.. pleasant.. inoffensive. I have smelt many worse much more expensive scents. I have also smelt many better much more expensive scents. For an everyday, non special occasion, its alright.

  • +12

Don't waste your money. I bought this last year and you're lucky if the scent lasts 5 minutes. Smells nice but doesn't last at all

    • completely agree. stay away from this

  • That water something is better i think?
    Cool water davidoff

    • cool water edp is my every day scent for work. i think it's pretty good for an office setting as it's not offensively strong but lasts pretty well

    • Check out their hot water. That's really nice as well. I think it's pretty new

Bought this due to one of these posts. Wouldn't buy again.

  • Can someone recommend what they would buy thats better for 20 bucks rather than 'never again'?

    • +2
    • +5

The majority of fragrances at $20 are "never again". But if you want something that is considered a cheapie and good, get Davidoff Cool Water.

But i rather you spend a proper amount of cash and get something that is nice and last a long time, like Aqua Di Gio or Bleu de Chanel.

      • While I agree, my go-to fragrances are Bleu de Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent La Nuit de l'Homme, or Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb.

Intimately Beckham and Joop Homme are both decent, non-offensive fragrances under $20.

        • +1

There are good cheapies. I love Versace Blue Jeans, Cool Water, CK Eternity, some Zara ones and use them on my off days.

Mortgagetightass sounds like someone who doesnt have much experience in this area (just an assumption I could be wrong). So the recommendation is to have a look at better quality stuff first. Anyone who has a collection of higher end fragrances would have also done their research on cheapies so this question wont be asked by an experienced user.

          • @KaTst3R: any recommendation for womens @creesy @KaTst3R in similar price range?

            • @bluespider: Elizabeth Arden red door…nah kidding i cant stand that fragrance, reminds me of a bowling club.

Cant go wrong with Euphoria or IN2U both are calvin klein and both sub $40

    • +1

better not to get any than waste $20. spend a bit more to get something worth it

    • +1

Really hard to recommend buying a fragrance without testing it first - they're super subjective. Hard to find much else for $20, but David Beckham Homme is honestly pretty decent. Maybe Cool Water if you can go up to $35 or so

      • david beckham instinct is pretty nice for the price too

    • In theory, Eau de Parfum should last longer than Eau de Toilette. But some people said certain brands don't last long even with Eau de Parfum on the label … So for $20, only David Beckham Instinct Eau de Parfum 75ml & David Beckham True Instinct Eau de Parfum 75ml in Chemist Warehouse at the moment. The reviews look good.

      old spice ….

  • +1

Personally didn’t like this scent all that much. Definitely recommend people to try it first before committing even though it’s cheap.

  • +4

It's not meant to be a high quality fragrance, its an everyday fragrance that won't break your budget. You don't wear a $200 fragrance everyday unless you have money to burn. If you want something cheap that does the job and you can wear daily without offending anyone then this does the job.

  • +3

These are excellent, plenty of professionals recommend Voyage. It's excellent value for money, just a little weak though

    • +6

      plenty of professionals recommend Voyage

      Professional what? Eshays?

      • Pro smellers.

  • This or Louis Vuitton Pacific Chill?

  • +1

How can people tell how long the scent lasts? I mean, any scent that I put on I can't smell it after about 30 seconds personally, as my nose adjusts to it. Are they going by other people's reactions?

    • +1

Maybe your nose is not sensitive enough or blocked :P Try Listerine mouthwash (Purple/Total for me) to clear the area around your mouth and also linked to your nose. When you have cold and sneezing, Listerine is good to clear the sneezing. It works for me. Breathe easier.

Try to spray perfume on your shirt. Smell it after few hours. Is the smell still there?

Some people like to spray a lot on to their shirt (front & back) and people can smell it from not too far …

  • these cheapies are ok, wear them on the train to get to work , for those confined spaces, once in office have plenty of room and people can move if they find my pheromones over powering.

  • office address in Sydney CBD, delivery is possible.
Home postcode, south Sydney = "This item cannot be shipped to your selected delivery location. Please choose a different delivery location."
    seems a bit strange?

  • I like this because it's not overpowering and just reminds me of summer.

  • does not last long :(
