  • Good deal on the Nexus

  • oooo Kobo Glo Ereader - $149. Interesting. Might make a good present for someone I know. Thanks!

    • I asked them today they have no idea when they will have it in stock :(

I cannot see glo on the catalogue

      • Page 16 of the catalogue. Unfortunately yeah, my store has some on order but we've no idea when we're getting them in. What store is your local? I can check out tomorrow if stock is arriving at any stores yet and PM you if I can find out any more info if you like.

      2nd one down :)

      • Thanks nosdan, not as Efficient as the European models. Most 47" over there are 65 Watts and have a A+ Ratting for power consumption. Might hang out bit longer as I am using off grid.

  • Got my Nexus 7 32G for $273 today, price matched by officeworks to the Kogan offer. But not all officeworks stores will price match Kogan, I tried a few and got the last one from my local store which was reserved for someone who did not pick up, I was lucky… So good luck guys…

  • nexus same price as OW, which appears to have plenty of stock too

  • I bought Nexus 7 32GB from OfficeWorks for $268 yesterday (price beat)

    • Good deal. May I ask whose price they were beating ?

      • eglobaldigitalcameras.com.au

        256 + 29 shipping - 5% price beat = 268

        • +1

          my maths says that $285 - 5% is $270.75

        • Looking at my receipt. They calculated "competitor price" as $283 instead of $256. Price guarantee -$14.15

          I was charged $268.85

        • gotta love OW policy, I tried a few days ago with my local OW to match eglobaldigitalcameras.com.au. they refused because they didnt have manufacture warranty. Got it for 283 pricematched from JB (OW had it for 314 a few days ago)

    • You can get them to price match Harvey Norman for $265 http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/85079#comment-1124801

I just bought Nexus 7 32Gb for OW for $265-5% = $251.75, they accepted the HN receipt that was around here few days ago…but I think that would depend on the store and the staff as the store in Sydney CBD Clarence St said they can't price matched it but the staff in Bondi Jnctn store looked at the copy of the receipt and accepted it.

Damn, I had tried so many different stores for that receipt and none of them accepted it. Now I have bought mine this morning and you did it… I am speechless!!!

    • Would you be able to post a link to that HN receipt ? Would very much appreciate it. Have had a quick look but can't find it - and Bondi Junction is my nearest store.

  • +1

Well OfficeWorks Bondi Junction must have wised up. They wouldn't accept the EBGames or HarveyNorman invoices without comparing to their website prices, which they took as definitive, and they wouldn't accept the eglobal price owing to non-manufacturer warranty. I dealt with the Indian guy with the stud through his left eyebrow. Maybe I'll try again with another staff member. In the meantime I have one one order from DWI at $280.50 but they are out of stock surprise surprise. They've given me the option to cancel but I'll wait and see. I've paid with PayPal 'pay later' so have a bit of time to cancel if I can get it at a better price locally.

  • the Global prices are good. What is the point in getting a 3g version (you can just use your smart phone instead?). Considering how slow phone internet is here and how expensive data plans are, I don't see the point in getting 3g? I want the tablet more for travelling anyway?

  • Commenting here so that I can find this post at a later date….trying to compile a list of heavily discounted tablets as research :)
