Was that the advertised price or did you bargain it?
I bargained it, told them GG next door has $245 on the tablet, and the guy checked on the system, and saw that the price was beaten before and offered me this,
So HN didn't check $245 is actually 16GB?
Its what he saw on the system, and gave me 32gb, he did not bother checking GG;s website.
maybe the sales guy still had a lot of pot in his system from the night before?

I had no problems getting a price match at local eb games. they were even willing to order one for me since they didn't have any in stock.

Has anyone price matched in Sydney?
eb said even ignoring the fact the harvey norman receipts were from interstate because there is no 'local' one (the mlc harvey norman is gone) they wouldnt price match.
tried jb and got it down to 277 which they said was their cost price so i bit the bullet.
I had no luck at Harvey Norman (the rep said it was a mistake at Chadstone and they wouldn't match it) but on my second trip to Officeworks, armed with receipts from HN, EB and OW Frankston (receipt here: http://imgur.com/0v393), and after a half-hour long conversation with the manager, he finally relented and let me have it for $267 (so $253.65 after their price matching). I split it into 3 payments on my ING card for a further 5% off with PayWave, so it'll come down to a total of $240.97! Awesome!
Any special reason why they gave you $265? And they already have stock but cannot see it on their site.
