    Sadly my bonus points didnt load. I got the amount spent so iIknew something was wrong (525 points rather than 10,525).

    I called the flybuys hotline and she said that management had just made them aware of an issue with this deal and they are collecting the member numbers of impacted people. So if you have made the purchase it might be worth sending a query email to make sure you are on the list.

    I bought the Coles MC gift cards on Wed and also haven't received the bonus points. Just spoke to Flybuys who advised that there was a gltich and the points will be in the account next week for everyone affected. There is no need to contact Flybuys individually.

        I've never received any extra points from Coles for their stuff ups. Woolworths on the other hand occasionally give a few dollars worth of points for their glitches.

          Also, Flybuys round down the points we get (e.g. $5.80 = 5 points) whereas Woolworths Rewards do the aggregation in the system so customers don't get less than they should (spend 1 $4.80 = 4 points but spend 2 $4.20 = 5 points).

          Woolworths backend system is just far more superior as a whole. Flybuys have a long of catching up to do.

            spend 2 $4.20 = 4 points. I think $4.98 = 6 points.

            Many are not aware that EDR never credits odd number points for a purchase. You'll never see a purchase credited 1, 3, 5, 7 points, but 2, 4, 6, 8…

            Check you account activity history if you do not believe it. All your purchases were credited in even number points.

              @Neoika: Yes you're right, all mine were with even number points too. That's even better, the point is Woolies don't short charge you whereas Flybuys do, on other hand.

    Does the Flybuys multiply points offer apply to give cards?

    Ie. I got 10x points on all purchases. Does this mean 1000 points per $100 card?

      In my experience, Flybuys bonus points offers do not apply to gift cards unless they are specifically advertising it is for a gift card.

      For example, your 10x points offer should have in the terms and conditions a clause saying that purchases of gift cards are excluded, so it appears that Flybuys actually enforces this exclusion.

    Unless you have an Amex giving 3 points for supermarket spend, don’t buy these. And even if you do, depending on how you value your time, it still may not be worth it. With the risk of hacking and the extra trouble and time to buy & use them, it’s just not worth it. And if enough people support these poor deals, they won’t bring back the 10% deal.

    I'm so over flybuys.

    So my wife bought 5 and I bought 5 - we thought they were separate accounts - but apparently they are linked… And only one account (no other rewards program works like this - she has her own card number and account details etc and links to mine).

    Anyhow, only 10k bonus got credited, and I queried. Since then it has been a run around of nonsense.

    One helpful staff member said it definitely will be rectified and added, after the investigation - others just play the "computer says no, it's one account, too hard" basket.

    Lesson learned though, linked accounts are not septate accounts according to fly buys so beware!!!

    I'll see how it pans out, I've asked them to improve their terms and conditions in the future to make this clear (linked accounts are one accounts).

    Infuriating and not with the hassle, I'll never partake in these master card promos again.

      Is this your first time purchasing? This was brought up in previous threads- unfortunately you will not qualify if all cards under a primary holder/linked.

      I have a joint account with family members and separate accounts. The conditions are quite clear when opening. Just open a new account for one of you. This offer comes up about every 3 months, get ready. Do not cut off your nose to spite your face. Flybuys did not do anything wrong.

          The bonus points usually post by 5pm the next day. Someone said if you have a linked flybuys account it's only 5 cards over the 2 accounts. Don't stress over negs, people are snowflakes and get upset over very little.
