Vast majority of recommendations are upgrades on the long hauls out of SIN, with partner airlines or free short hauls internally in SEA (obviously that would depend on deals, value and honestly what MH are offering at the time)

For example, be stupid to pay current rates ADL > SIN and then to Penang when travelling with MH get that Penang leg 'free'
Regardless, its a 40% bonus for people that were looking to book anyway 🤷♀️

Reality is you wont find any availability on heaps of those flights anyway as they haven't resumed them since COVID. Ie. the South Pacific dont exist (I keep calling to check).
Can you give me a specific example of a good upgrade vs a normal redemption?
Say currently ADL to SIN is around (off memory 40k eco/ 65K business)
I only see value in redemptions themselves… but KF availability is now very poor.
No issues finding availability here, the trick is to book way in advance or fairly last minute. Get a sub to an alert service as well so you get notified if something pops up during the year.
If you’re looking for travel say 6 months in advance then you’re kinda in no mans land, all the initial seats have been taken (at release 12 months out) and additional seats have not yet been released (if loads are lower than expected then they will release additional redemption seats).
I booked ADL - SIN and then SIN - BRU about a year in advance for 2 pax in business.
Yeah, ADL - SIN is fine. But literally anything else isn't available.
Hence the pointhacks link is near useless as they haven't reopened those other flights/ codeshares yet.

Goodluck using those miles for anything from Adelaide! Maybe some availability for Singapore itself..that's about it.
