  What would examples of some use cases? I just use my phone if something needs magnification like some product labels that have ant sized print lol

      Yeah for those use cases though I would want a dedicated hands-free magnifier. This one is a "portable" hand held unit - imagine trying to work on a circuit board holding this in one hand, while the other hand tries to do what needs to be done lol

    500x chinatical zoom. Good for watching quarks dance all the way up to looking at protogalaxies a few hours after the big bang.

    May or may not be good for magnifying anything in reality.

  aliexpress reviews seem to suggest it works for reading numbers on ICs, but has a very short focal length. you are going to run into problems if there are components protruding upwards which prevent the device from being close to the surface. not going to replace a decent macro lens on a phone
