I think this might be a dupe, but welcome to OzBargain regardless and congratulations on your first post!

    • I think it's the same voucher and promo as before but may be a new round

  • I don't see it in my app, and it is a bit contradictory. It looks like you can use the code in the app but for the double dollars you're told to go in doors, is that right?

It's showing them the webpage enough or do you need to have it in your account/power card?

    • +5

From my experience of redeeming vouchers in the timezone app, just showing the webpage of the voucher isn't enough.

You need to put the code (which is SAVE20 in this instance) into the app manually, like it says on the website instructions.
Click the barcode icon in the top right of your Timezone app home screen to manually input the code.

Then the voucher should show up in your app home screen in the top banner, maybe restart the app if you can't see it. When you click into it, a page should show up with the barcode at the bottom.

This is the barcode that you show to the staff in-venue, make sure you specify if you want the $20 off deal or the load 80 get 200 deal.

      Hope this helps

Thanks I didn't twig that I needed to redeem it but on closer inspection it spells it out really clearly. In store only too so will consider heading in today to pay for the next couple of years of post movie entertainment with the kids

        Thanks very much

        • I tried this at Innaloo and they wouldn't accept the voucher, said it wasn't in their system yet

  • +2

I added this to my account, it says it’s valid until 8th Sept which is nice! I assume that includes the $80 for $200 credit too

    • Yep, just make sure to specify to the staff which deal you're after because you can only use this voucher once (as in once they scan the barcode, it's counted as redeemed).

    • How to add in the account?

      • +1

On the app, go to power cards, scroll to the bottom and hit view e-vouchers

From there, the top right (on IOS) has a icon looks a bit like a barcode with some border around it. Press that, then press Enter details manually

So $200 credit for $72 if you pay with gift cards from this deal:
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/858227

    and use the code SAVE20?

    • Sorry, I'm not sure what Timezone's policy is for using gift cards for deals. Maybe call or ask in person if you are able to?

    • +4

I've done it a couple times using the previous $80 deals - you just have to pay in person.

Personally got an $80 gc at 15% off from Amazon which I bought in anticipation of this deal.

      • Cool thanks 😎

      • I got $100 gc in the same deal, thankfully missed the double dollar deal this weekend and now this popped-up. Thinking of what should i do witht the rest of $20 on gift card.

        • +1

Save it and do split payment at next double dollars is what I usually do. Most staff are usually willing to do it in my experience

  • do these credit expire vs the kingpin promos of 1 year?

    • Taken from Timezone FAQ:

Will my Timezone game credit and Powertickets expire?
Powercards will expire 12 months from the last in-venue use date, at which time any unused balance and Powertickets will be forfeited. App reloads do not count towards extending your Powercard expiry.

Not sure what the Kingpin promos of 1 year are though

  • I redeemed this one a few months back, wonder if I can do it again? I can't see anything indicating that it's for new customers only.

Awesome. When i spent $50 on a skill tester and didnt win anything I rationalised it as only losing $20 😁

    • Maybe, next time - spend that on some Juice.

  • so is this spend $30 to get $50, or spend $10 to get $30?

    • +6

Either. The deal is that you get $20 off whatever you want to load.

β€’ Load $30 game credit = You only pay $10
This is the smallest amount you can load with this voucher

β€’ Load $50 game credit = You only pay $30
You also get a bonus $20 credit for loading $50 that would total $70 game credit.

β€’ Load $100 game credit = You only pay $80
You would normally get a bonus $50 credit for loading $100 but with this offer, this specific load amount gets a bonus $100 instead for a total of $200 game credit

You can only redeem this voucher one time though

    • I got the same email from Timezone and the alphanumerical string under both barcodes (email and app) are identical, so I would assume that it wouldn't work twice.

  • Bring back big buck

  • Does anyone know if they still sell discounted gift cards @Costco?
