Please please please, spend the extra and get yourself a ticket directly issued by QR. More management, cancellation vouchers are easy to obtain on this fare class, changes are easy and plenty to suit your needs, and extra baggage and seat selection is significantly cheaper directly with QR during booking as opposed to managing a booking and paying more. Support is really easy through QRs live chat or via phone, as opposed to a TA which can take days for a response and generally be unhelpful.

And a tip, for those passengers travelling with someone else from Sydney or Perth to Doha. Select the "Upper Deck" Economy class on the A388, it makes it a heck of a better more enjoyable experience, quieter, and on the 2 window seats, there are storage bins

  Got my fare last year for A380 using Velocity points, had to pay $200 extra to choose a seat in the upper deck but was 110% worth it. The IFE wasn't working though so lodged a claim and got that $200 refunded lol.
