Chapel Street’s top eateries have launched a fierce battle to see who can create Australia’s most memorable and enticing Toastie.The ‘Best Toastie’ category has become the most hotly contested category of this year’s Chapel Champions Awards.

    Had a frustrating experience at Caffe E Cucina today. I waited for 45 minutes only for another person in the queue to tell us that they only had 7 sandwiches left. The staff didn't come out to inform us themselves; they only posted it on their Instagram story. Also, Rustica said they sold out within 30 min.

    The website states they would be serving during specific time slots, without mentioning a limited quantity.

    It's a shame – I was excited about it, but won't be back again tomorrow, as it looks like the promotion is being run quite poorly. Par for the course for Chapel St these days, I suppose!

      Echoing this. I don't begrudge the cafés having a limited number on offer, but hand out numbered tickets or something and save everyone's time.
