“Only 8GB ram in 2024” blah blah blah.
17% off a current MBA is a great deal, I pulled the trigger too early last week at $1609…

No, Feb/Mar is the best time for the free AirPods or gift card

      • Thanks. Guess I’ll wait then :)

    • got an m3 air in japan right after launch, still cheaper than these deals. if i'd held off to this point, i'd wait to march for the next-gen m4 one.

JB HiFi is now price matching Officeworks.

    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/apple-macbook-air-13-inch…

    This opens up more stock.

JB HiFi also has MS Office for 50% off when you purchase an Apple computer.

  • A little bit off topic but looking to get the M3 pro for my video editing needs. Thinking of using the student site to get discount? Has anyone tried this of late?

If Apple does do a check and I cannot prove the student status it is just going to be paying the difference or order cancellation? and does it have any impact on the warranty?

Sorry if this looks like I am trying to get a sneaky discount, which I am in a way but aren't those Apple things overpriced anyways haha

  • Costco has MacBook Air 13 Inch With M3 Chip 8GB 512GB SSD for $1,794.99. The other big stores should be able to pricebeat e.g. JB Hi-Fi or OfficeWorks as theirs are both $1,797.00. Hope this helps others. You would get a bit over $90 off if 5% off.

Probably best to wait for M4 due to demand for AI, probably more memory size options would be available. I doubt 64GB or even 128GB will be enough for AI!

    • If you're loading an LLM which fills more than 64GB on a Mac, you might as well be sending it emails and waiting 2 business days for responses.*
      *MoE aren't so bad though.
