  • Is that a pretty poor nits score?

    • It's above average. 250 is what other budget laptops have.

  • Never heard of this brand. What is the origin of the brand?

    • Apparently they're an australian company https://www.infinitygaming.com.au/
People on reddit a few years were saying they're basically rebranded Tongfang laptops and the hardware is good. https://www.reddit.com/r/GamingLaptops/comments/k6jkt9/is_in…

      • OP says it's a clevo?

        • ask OP about it, not me.
I'm just repeating information I could find about the company.

      • I've had a "tongfang" Intel NUC gaming PC before. Returned it after a few weeks.

Coil whine was driving me mad, this was the biggest issue for me. Speaker balance was not 50/50 (louder on one side, even though it was set to be balanced). The odd freezing and restart. And of course, this thing was a beast of a machine, heavy as F, loud as F like a jet engine, and hot as F, as in painfully hot to the touch when gaming. Battery life was piss poor but that was expected.

      Check this out: https://www.infiniti.com/

  • Anyone know if it supports DP alt mode and power delivery? USB spec is such a mess that it's still optional on 3.2 gen 2 and there's no mention on the website or indication near the port.

      No

transfer data seamlessly through the USB Type-C

Reviewer also said the brand confirmed that display and power is not supported.

      • Ah that sucks but I guess it's still a good price for those that don't need it…

        • My old msi has usb 3.2 gen 1 type a, but when i connect a cable to my dock, it can pass through display

  • From the photos this thing looks THICK!

    • That's what she said… About his…

Used an OR5 4600H-1650 for about a year, consistent gaming and some video editing.
2 years later my partner still use it for light browsing/media.
Machine is decent built, thermals were not bad considering how thin it is and noise is a bit on the high range (talking about the model I have).
Battery died pretty soon but most noticeable problem is that the keyboard faded pretty bad in no time.. to the point you can't read most of the letters and a lot of light leeks out.
Had some difficulty to find the owner of the company to talk to but once I did he told me I had to buy the whole top panel as the keyboard is integrated to it, having to pay a hefty price and risking installing it myself.. wasn't impressed at all.
Otherwise the machine is pretty good for what it is, performs well and looks sleek on a desk.
Buy some keyboard stickers to apply if you decide to pull the trigger, trust me..
