I’d be careful on this. A coworker’s cashback was declined due to coupon code usage! Worth a shot anyway but something to keep in mind.
Don't double dip. Cashrewards T&C states you cannot double dip and dabble with promotional codes.
best headphones of all time in this price range imo
No it is not.
Thanks for providing some suggestions you believe are better

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/852644 this one is much better than the Sony in sound quality and delivering excellent mids.
@[Deactivated]: Thanks for the recommendations. They're on my wishlist for when my XM3s eventually give up.
@jeffereigh2: Can't go wrong with the px7 s2e. Bought the xm5 and got rid of it the next day. Sound is just alack of clarity.
@[Deactivated]: Also the Technics A800 ones at $270 from Amazon.
@[Deactivated]: RTINGS haven’t tested the first 2 you mentioned but as for the last 2:
The Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless are better headphones than the Shure AONIC 50 Wireless. The Sony are more comfortable, have a significantly better noise isolation performance, have a longer continuous battery life, and support NFC pairing.
The Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless are better over-ears than the Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2 Wireless. The Sony are more comfortable, have a more balanced sound, although it's still bass-heavy, and have a virtual soundstage to help immerse you in your audio. Their ANC system offers a significantly better noise isolation performance, and they have more customization features, thanks to their companion app.
These are the best Upper Mid-Range NC Headphones in their opinion: https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/best/by-feature/ac…
@Maths Debater: Unless the xm4 is significantly better in sound profile, otherwise I would disagree based on personal experience on both - px7 s2e.
Mostly vocal and orchestra… Defined mid and high are critical.
@[Deactivated]: Makes sense that you care about sound quality, mids, and stuff like that because I couldn't see how any of these are better than the XM4s aesthetically. How do they compare comfort wise; better, equal, or worse?
@Nillionaire: Xm5 (not xm4) was more comfortable (more comfortable than the px7), very light and great ANC (double edge sword). Personally, no issue with build quality on the xm5, but that's from merely a days use (including a plane trip).
@[Deactivated]: I tested the sony xm4 and audio technica ath-m50xbt2 this week. After reading reviews, including RTINGS I expected the m50x to be very neutal sound, lacking bass, and sony to be very bass orientated. In store testing (jb and good guys) i found the opposite. I was very dissapointed with sony muffled audio and lack of bass and was super impressed with the clarity of the m50xbt2 which actually had a lot more bass (instore). I was hoping to get a pair of noise cancelling headphone at a good price but i cant bring myself to buy the sony.
@running on empty: I actually had to use the m50xbt2 on a flight when I misplaced my old Bose noise cancelling headphones a few months ago and they did surprisingly well. I actually prefer them over my Bose and used them on another trip a few weeks ago.
@[Deactivated]: Seems you've used many of these. Which one would you say are the most comfortable? Or perhaps any other you like. I wanna use them with glasses and most start hurting after a while.
@CodingAI: I don't wear glasses, so wouldn't know. Maybe go in store and try.
@[Deactivated]: I managed to get a pair of Technics EAH-A800 for $200 off ebay.
i will try them and see if they are decent
XM5 were better for $350 but would recommend either. XM4 should be cheaper by now.
Better than the Ultra QC headphones?
No
lmao, a poor hater downvoted.
The bass can be pretty muddy, but less so than QC.
one regret getting this headphone is that there are no options disabling voice prompts and beeps when turning it on/off.
why does that bother you?
I can vouch for these headphones. I researched headphones for a month and these are best for price, noise cancelling and extra bass. :)
It's interesting how personal headphones are. I've got them and whilst the ANC is amazing, I feel like they're muddy and underwhelming - no matter how much I've EQ'd them. There's always too much bass. Kinda wish I got the Sennheiser Momentums instead but that was a while ago
It's moreso what people are used to. Most people don't know what "good" audio sounds like and have never heard balanced tonality to compare everything else to so they are left with marketing terms such as bass boosted to help form their preferences and tell them that is what "good audio" sounds like. Tonality is hard to understand when people don't have anything to compare to.
Though this may not be a bad thing, once you're "in", you can't stop paying attention to these kinds of things and it may take away the joy from purely listening to music like wonderstache is, to putting your focus on noticing tonality and other audiophile stuff.
I'm glad my ignorance is bliss in this regard.
Yeah, I definitely agree - until I got a pair of higher end headphones a long time ago, I didn't realize how "clear" music can sound vs all the other headphones I'd owned until that point. But noticing these things means even more things to worry about when making a purchase.
I agree that you could definitely get headphones with better audio quality but that would also require extra $$$. I don't think you can go wrong with these headphones unless you're an audiophile but it probably also depends on each user's experience. :)
Either way these comments on OzBargain helped me hear other people's thoughts/experiences with the headphones which definitely helped a lot more than any YouTube reviewer could.
Hmm your experience has been quite different to mine. The bass in my headphones didn't have the punch I desired until I changed my EQ settings to Bass Boost. I had tried another pair of headphones prior to these which boasted about bass but it was very lackluster. So yeah it might depend on the individual's experience in the end.
Still rocking XM3
Me too, but they're held together with electrical tape and super glue lmao. It would cost me about $100 to get both sides and all new pads and battery, worth it I guess.
Same here, sound quality is still better in xm3 than the xm4
I don't wanna upgrade, it sucks that I probably won't be able to game on the xm4 and xm5 since they don't have aptx :(
Same! I can't be bothered putting on my ear muffs when grinding/cutting/welding etc so I use the XM3 instead as they're better than the ear muffs.
They've been through some grotty environments working on cars and carpentry and they're still going strong. I just give them a wipe down with IPA and they still look brand new.
I got xm3 (same thing but without the multi connect) $300 is seriously pushing it. Like I think they're great at the $140 I paid. $300 is insane
Except the xm3s are not the same thing but without the multiconnect. Like that is just objectively wrong.
Chill, $300 isn't insane.
I just signed up an account with sony, and ticked yes to receiving promos etc. Does it take a while to receive the unique discount code?
Took about 20min for mine to come through
I loved the sound of these but found them hot and uncomfortable. Would definitely recommend trying them on before buying if you can.
Anyone had any luck with resolving the microphone issues when you yet to use them for Teams calls etc?
Mine usually work for the first call of the day, then the microphone is just not recognised anymore. Have tried removing, re-installing, changing type from headphones to headset and still get the same issues ongoing.
Just get a Jabra for teams.
Mic isn't good on XM4.
Bose should de a wireless, consumer version of their A30 aviation headset - the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn but they've got a long cord and a microphone and cost over $2k
good deal, would have bought it if i didnt grab the QC45.
