              @Abang Tukang Bakso: We all have different goals in life. I was more interested in owning a home (fully paid with no loan) before i was 40. And achieved that.

              • +10

                @easternculture: Lame sensible goal.

                It's much better to blow it all on junk flash cars, impressing some passing 15 year old boys and no one else, then get to 67 then complain the government won't give you enough money to live comfortably.

                  @schquid: Love this comment haha.

                  You forgot to add blowing the superannuation on a AMG C63 or G63, BMW XM , etc and then complain about cost of living

            • @Abang Tukang Bakso: Easternculture does not say he would not. He just implies it would not be a rational choice.

    Why is The Beep still allowed to post here? Considering they have another account in the penalty box, and they've posted up an MG, a Citroen, and now a freaking Jeep (in which this 'deal' is just them dropping to pre-covid prices) as 'bargains', like wtf is this? OzCarNews more like…

    • +1

      Don't think you have to worry too much. We are too well educated in the ozb way. They are wasting their time posting here.

    • -3

      Its a bit rich coming from someone who’s been here since 2014 and never posted a deal to criticize others for posting deals. Perhaps you should contribute some deals u think are worthy of being posted then

      • On one hand, you're right, it does seem like a bit of a d-head move of me to say considering my lack of contribution.

        On the other hand, whether I've posted a deal or not doesn't change the fact that $64k for a Jeep and most their other posts are not deals/bargains, and that these posts just look like OP looking for ways to spruik their site, which imo does more harm than good to OzB than just not posting at all.

        • It's all relative though, at some price point the Jeep is a good buy, is that $1 or is that $64k is subjective. I take no issue with you saying you don't think this is a good deal because x and Y but I don't think it's reasonable to say this person shouldn't be allowed to post when frankly posting a reduction of 19k does actually warrant a post. Like we have been seeing a lot of other cars with less price reductions being pumped to the front page.
          You say it's not a deal going to pre-covid prices well I sure wish the Everest or Kluger would go to pre-covid prices but they continue to rise.

          • @donkcat: Yeah I'm mostly just a bit peeved about the fact OP seems to be more spruiking their site, more than they are posting a deal (whether I'm qualified to call that out or not, I guess not? :D.)

            You make good points, and maybe my bias is showing on something that you rightfully said is subjective, but I think even you'd have to admit that context does matter. Like 19k off an already overpriced vehicle, that didn't sell well, and that has questionable reliability, is a completely different ballpark to 19k (or even much less than that) off 2 of some of the best-selling vehicles lol.

    Instant regret.

  • hows is this a deal when it will sit in the warranty department for months

    • Only if they give you another lemon as a loan car

  • +1

    "Gladiator Night Eagle" ?!?! :) :) :)

    Wow, the marketing team went deep into their mancave on that one! Does it come with a "Make America Great Again" red cap, chewing tobacco, and AK47 boot storage?

  • Lemons at that price… someone actually worse than Woolies and Coles.

  • Not a bad deal

    The Compass for 40k drive away is also decent im not in a position todrop that on a new car atm but this isnt bad at all

    • It's mainly bad when you factor in support and the way they treat their customers in Australia. A good friend of mine works as a technician for them, and steered me off them forever (though their rep in the market had that done in spades already).

    Just keep ignoring them and they'll go even cheaper and then you can not buy them anyway because they're underpowered and ugly
