lol a lot of idiots around.

I posted a $50 computer case on fb marketplace and a guy messaged if it came with a motherboard

    • Yes…. Yes it does!!

        But can it run Crysis?

        • +1

          Not that it’s run out

After a full year of not thinking about printers, the best printer is still whatever random Brother laser printer that’s on sale.

Officeworks has a Brother laser for $131 if anyone missed out: https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/brother-hl…

      • is the generic toner cheap for this model? is this better than what was posted originally

        • +1

It takes the same model of toner cartridge.

Officeworks has exclusive models of a lot of printers so they're probably very closely related models.

Picked this up a few days ago and happy enough with it. Was tired of churning through cheap, disposable $50-70 Canon/HP inkjets that cripples itself after 6 months.

The Amazon version includes an Ethernet port whilst the OW is missing one but both still prints via wireless & USB

I bought a Brother HL-2270DW to print a few things at home during high school. 12 years later it's done something like 10,000 pages, pretty cheaply with $10 ebay ink cartriges. They are a beast of a machine.

Workhorse of a personal printer. Currently have mine in storage due to lack of space but the moment we do, that print monster is coming right back out and all BW prints go to it rather than the colour laser that I currently use (much bigger but has a duplex scanner that I find very useful).

      • $10 sounds amazing i searched the toner for this its 70 dollars on ebay thats the generic one too

Similar story here, but somewhere around the 15 year mark. The ease and speed of printing from different devices via the wifi connection back then blew my little student mind away, no more of those pesky USB B cables, or flimsy HP inkjets.

  • Kindly guide me for good printer that does print scan and copy. Cheers

      • Thanks

Shame the toner is so expensive though. Still got it for my folks though… Hoping but the time they need a replacement in a few years, it will be reasonable.

    • Let's up the stakes then @spock… "Kindly guide me for good, well priced (laser) printer that does colour, print, scan and copy and also does A4. Cheers" Wish Prime Day visited this class of product!.

      • Does colour have generic toner options as well?

    • Depends on what you need but brother are pretty reasonable. I personally use MFC-L3770CDW as it offers duplex automatic document feeder and printer - single side ADF is painful.

https://www.brother.com.au/en/printers/all-printers?mode=bac… Filter this and go from there.

      Edit: added url.

  • whats a good quality ink toner cartridge brand, opinions

    • can we match this price in TGG store?

    • thanks for share, I managed to price match in TGG store today

plus some $5 GC from snackback

feel like a real bargain :)

  • On a related note, does anyone know where to get cheaper A4 paper compare to Officeworks please?

Whats a good colour laser printer?

  • is it back at 180 now?

I have 2350DW, goes well, cheap to refill. Doesn't scan but it prints great and easy to set up. I'd recommend this for home printer.

  • +1

this one does not seems to have cheap toner off ebay, unlike its predecessor L2350DW.
