Valid for cash out too. I've bought a bottle of milk and withdrew the spend amount via EFTPOS and gotten the cashback confirmed.

    • Ooooohh..

    • Easy money 😂

    • New guy just moved to Aus here. Tried googling but no straightforward answer.

So at the cashier i say i want to withdraw cash ($50) out?

      • +3

Used to be an option on the screen at the self serve checkouts…assume still the same. .but you will need to buy at least one item in the transaction as it puts it into a different 'processing mode'.

Go to a self checkout which has cash option (most of them are without cash option/card only these days), then select pay by card at the end (unlike Woolies POS that has an obvious option “Card and Cash Out”). Insert your card to the machine (do not tap or swipe) and select Savings or EFTPOS, then it should prompt you asking how much $ you want to withdraw. Enter your PIN and voila.

        • Perfect! ta!

        • Would this work with a credit card, as in would it attract a cash advance fee?

        • On your bank transactions page is it supposed to mention that you only made a $2 purchase and a $50 cash out?

@Ezio: Mine did, but the cashback still came through 7 days later

    Got $15 over $150. Sheesh.

    • I got $10 over $200…

That’s 10% off- a good deal in my book. You can always buy Coles GC to meet the criteria. Or someone above said it even works with cash out.

      • Have you tried buying a coles GC? The terms says excludes vouchers and gift cards so I've always been hesitate to try and buy giftcards but would love to know if it's successful for others.

Yep I always bought the Coles Myer GC and got the cashback

  • Got $0 off nothing!

Saw an ebay $10 off $100 ..but requires a code and I assume will invalidate the other codes that are better..

  • I got $20 off $200 spend.

I got $10 for $200. I suspect they move the goalpost based on what you typically spend, which for me is around $100 whenever I go to Coles. They’re always going to try and make you spend more!
