No free screen insurance if I use my Commbank Card.

    • What cards do give screen insurance?

      • +2

        Amex Essentials

    • No purchase protection insurance either!

  • +1

Nothing in my account. Would have been good.

Omg, now I'm starting to really want the s25u, I'm using 24u now

    • +1

You're joking right? Even the reviewers couldn't spot any difference between the 2 and they usually come up with something to make a longer video

      • The reviewers must be blind given the costmetic differences between S24U and S25U are instantly obviously (Square vs rounded corners).

        • I’m jumping solely for that (square screen corners) traded in my S23U 1TB for a S25U 512GB, never went past 250GB.

      • What about 23 to 25 jump?

        • +1

I've got s23u, and was planning to order the s25u and decided not to. Minimal improvements and have gone backwards in 2 key areas for me. The telephoto lens is much worse (5x optical) and can't use the Spen button for shutter release anymore.

Most software enhancements will come to the s23u anyway.

          • @butwhy: Actually, on new yearz eve I broke the screen 😂 I can live with it if you say there's no upgrade. But, it'll cost me 530 to fix the screen. I jumped from S9 to S23 and was hoping to stick, but shit happened

    • +1

why? literally no benefit to upgrading your phone unless theres a substantial upgrade, which you don't get if you're upgrading every year. if you want to piss away some money then feel free to just donate it

      • +1

If you upgrade every year its very little money to "piss away".

        • you're still out of pocket close to a grand

          • @Kozhutki: No way. For the s25u I'm out of pocket $150 but I wouldn't be at all if I didn't get 2 years of care+, buds3 pro and a case.

            • @Bruceflix: Can you describe how you're only out of pocket $150?
I've got S24 Ultra and obviously a $150 upgrade cost is minimal if I can copy your process.

              • +1

                @thedriver: Ordered through Samsung Edu

                Ordered S25 U 512GB
                Care+ 2 years
                Buds3 Pro
                Rugged Case

                Used GALAXY2025
                CSP-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
                And $20 - $100 voucher
                Traded in Fold 6

                Paid Asurion $715 Security Deposit
                Paid Balance to Samsung $732

Sold Fold 6 to webuyback for $1300

                • @Bruceflix: Appreciated

                • @Bruceflix: To get $1300 for a fold6, its the 1TB model and says brand new condition with sealed box tbough.

                  • @8azinga: It was "as new 256gb" when I logged it. Prices always drop on release so best to book it as quickly as possible

                • @Bruceflix: Just curious, however would it have been even more beneficial if you had only "traded in" a lower valued phone or other eligible item to Asurion, say a $1 or $10 one so you wouldn't lose as much security deposit?

                  • @Travelling panda:

so you wouldn't lose as much security deposit?

                    Surely you're trolling?

                    • @Bruceflix: Oh sorry….Apologies if i have asked the wrong question. This is the first time I have bought via the pre orders and have read a lot of the comments/posts on various ways people are doing it. So I was curious as to different ways people have approached it. Apologies again and please ignore my question if it is offensive.

                      • @Travelling panda: Well, think about it. Why would it make any difference? You either pay the security deposit to Asurion or you pay the same amount in the price of the order to Samsung. If you can't see that there is no difference you probably shouldn't be handling money in any capacity.

                        • @Bruceflix: You're right, I obviously went down the rabbit hole of wondering why people would choose to do one way or other but at the end of the day it doesnt matter to the buyer at all. Thanks

    • +1

      Why ???????

What has the 25 got that you really , really NEED ?

      • +1

Phonemakers have reached the end of improvements. They release minor updates to keep the show going, as there’s no room for more significant changes. Upgrading after 2 years is recommended, with a maximum of 3 years, as apps move faster and don’t work on certain phones for OSes after that. Sticking to this belief will result in unnecessary expenses.

  • +1

DAMN! I was targeted but already bought the phone… is there any way to still get access after purchasing (I used the same card)?? :,(

    • +5

Need to activate the offer first then the charge must occur.
      Maybe cancel and re-order?

Edit: actually this isn’t an “activate & spend offer, it is a “claim offer” which I think is discounted on your cart at checkout. But either way you would need to re-order to take advantage of it.

      • +4

Thanks, though other commenters are saying it's for the regular site. I used the edu portal so I don't believe I missed out.

  • Anyone else unable to log in to the Samsung store after going through the commbank link?

  • +1

Is the Commbank offer just another EPP site or can it be stacked with other EDU/GOV epp sites?

  • +12

This discount is only for the Commbank yello Samsung site where the prices are much higher than EPP/Gov and Edu portals

    • Thank you

    • +2

Yeah I reckon you might be right.

For eg. the edu link for s25U is this:
      https://www.samsung.com/au/multistore/samsung_education_au/g…

Difference is after multistore in the URL having commbank and edu having samsung education.

      • Kind of annoying if cant be applied to edu

  • -3

Min spend $500 on S25. What a joke. You can't buy a S25 for less than $500. It should state min spend $1399, but that makes the $100 look small.

    • +7

….lol mate I think you need to understand how these discounts work. Why are you so worked up lol. If you are in the market to buy s25 or any Samsung products (it’s not just s25) , you save $100 when spending over $500…

      • +1

Oh that makes more sense hehe.

    • +1

I bought the S25 for $375 after stacking codes and trade in. . I wouldn't even be eligible for the commbank offer

      • what did you trade in?

      • How? I tried for the S25 Ultra, but the most i could get was the trade in value of my S20+ (and for some reason the $200 trade in bonus wasnt applying) and the $100 BOOST100 code. Which doesn't work out to much of a deal.

        • Presale deals were a lot better than now and they traded in something with higher value.

  • In the title, should have "Save $100" first and "(min spend $500)" at the end.

  • Anyone else getting an extra $100 Trade in bonus applied when going through commbank?
Not getting that through the normal Samsung website

  • They are definitely not holding back in discounting.

  • +2

So this definitely won't work with EPP/Edu stores?

    • +1

try it for yourself and see

    • +1

Looks like the link is to cba yellow samsung store

  • -6

Got it, anyone have a clever way to cancel/return the phone and keep the cashback?

    • +1

      Commbank defenders have logged on

    • +1

Except there is no cashback because its a discount at payment page.

  • Omg, i bought one yesterday, but not sure if Id save the $100 because of all the coupon codes I used? When I added it to the cart it comes up much higher . No EDU or EPP portal.

  • How does the discount appear?

  • not targeted

  • Be Aware! These cashback offers cannot be stacked with education/epp store.
I purchased washing machine and galaxy tablet when I have these types offers in my Westpac and Amex. Both were not triggered as the name shows on the statement is Samsung Edu or Samsung EPP.

    • This isnt a cashback offer.

  • Forget it if you can access education/EPP

  • +1

For comparison, i think these are approx prices for S25 Ultra 512GB with Buds3 ($209.30) using a $10 trade in, $400 trade bonus code, $200 Galaxy2025 code, $100 voucher from $20

CBA Yello Samsung page - $1398.30 (Includes extra $150 trade in bonus that normal store doesnt have and the $100 CBA yello discount that happens at payment page)

Normal Samsung store - approx $1565 (Includes 5% app discount that CBA yello doesnt get)

EDU/EPP store - $1228.50? I dont have it so can't check to be sure but based on $1879.20 phone cost and spending $209.3 on accessories. The accessories at cheaper on EDU/EPP so you can get a little extra like a screen protector. Could be cheaper if you can get 5% app discount.

If anyone has different prices (not including higher value trade ins), let me know but thats just what i was able to work out.

    • +1

      @8azinga

Can you share, what are you trading in and what happens if you dont send it in? will it be a $30 charge or $60 would you know?

Was going to trade in a S10 which gave a $55 trade in value but not sure how much would they claim back later on that, any ideas?

Last, using the CBA Yello page on Samsung, I cannot seems to enable or see the Eco page or prices, I am not logged into my Samsung account but using a S8 trade in which I dont have gives a trade value of $10 and also using a $400 trade in voucher and a $100 bought voucher, the price is at $1,489.00, so if I click through to checkout it should be $1,389.00 when adding a CBA debit/credit card upon checkout. But prior to doing that I may grab some buds to flip them later, or 4 phone cases if I can access the %30 off section of Eco voucher GALAXY2025.

      • Read the T&C. I'm sending my trade in back so i didnt need to check that information.
Not sure what the Eco page is. Didnt even see an Eco page on the normal site.

  • +1

Used this with the trade in code for S21 and got the S25 for $734 some how with 2.8% cashback, not complaining due for a new phone!

    • Did you not have the $100 discount from buying the $20 voucher?

How did you click through from cashback site and get to the CBA yello page? Just manually type in the CBA yellow webpage?

  • Clearly not as good as the Westpac deal.

Just finished with Samsung chat on trying to order this phone, when cliicking the Add Accessories part for cases and what not, it opens up with No Accessories whatsoever, I could not add anything, no cases, no buds, could only add Samsung Care. If I click the Accessories another browser pops up and yoiui can see accessories where if you add something to the Cart, a 2nd Cart is created and only the case is in there and not on the EPP or CBA Yello page on the portal.

I have been trying to buy this phone on Shop App, on Samsung and on the CBA Yello which doesn't really work to well or limits you.

Samsung support only gives you the run around and saying clear your browsers cache will fix everything, yeah right, everything but the price and now I am feeling left dismal. My fault I guess but not enough codes or ways for discount unless you have Edu Au email, Westpac Card, or Gov. CBA limiting and now vouchers expiring, very depressed.

    • just manually search for accessories. The cba yello samsung page doesnt work like the normal site. Menus dont show properly. The add accesories thing doesnt work. The S25 screen protectors werent even showing initially and only able to order later but didnt get 30% discount. Adding buds3 after phone was already in cart gave 30% discount to buds3

      • Does the CBA Yellow Samsung page allow you to stack the extra $150 trade-in bonus on top of Samsung $400 bonus?
Do you have to use a CBA card?

        • +1

          Yes and yes

        • @rabiez
What extra $150 trade in bonus? Where can they be gotten from or do they just show up when adding a trade in?

For whatever reason, it will not allow me to add a Galaxy S8 as a trade in for $10, geebers, I swear I am cursed.

          • @zztrader: From memory, the $150 trade-in bonus appears on the next page, after you add a trade-in phone "$150 Trade-In bonus applied. Ends 14.02.25."
Just checked, Galaxy S8 is not on the list of accepted trade-ins

            • @rabiez: @rabiez
Did you actually send a (which) phone in or just say it has cracked screen and never send it?

I know its been said before but, if I chose any other $10 phone for trade and never sent it in due to cracked screen what would costs all up would that incurr later on after getting my phone and not sending the suggested phone?

              any ideas approx?

              • @zztrader: Sorry, I can't comment on your questions.
                I don't know the answers

                • @rabiez: Hi Mate,
When They say Preorder, when will this be delivered ? is it not available yet ?

                  • +1

@dealman: They give an esimated date when you go through the order process. Some colours dont have stock anymore so will be delayed but you can still order them for later delivery.

  • Thanks for that @rabiez,
I did see the S8 on the list but every time I added it, then applied it the choice, it then went to $0 and would not process.

Ive nearly given up, will try one more time. Thanks for sounding off mate!

  • Anybody having IMEI issues when going through checkout on the CBA Yello /Samsung portal?

I have put the correct one in on my S10 which I have commited to trading in but all I get is:

We couldn't recognize your device. The IMEI or serial number you entered might be incorrect, blocked, or have a "Find My Device" feature still active. Please check the number carefully and turn off any tracking apps before trying again.

I turned off Find my Mobile and it still comes up with this BS message. Any ideas why this is going on? Its the correct imei and appreciate any others who have experienced this hurdle.

    • Someone else may have used your imei?

      • Dont think so, as I have had the Find my Device activated which I turned off.

Just a guess but maybe some latency between the IMEI turning up to the checkout?

Will txt support to see whats going on. Certainly hope somebody has not used it. I have not posted it anywhere else so we shall see.

      • @8azinga
        I just checked a site https://amta.org.au/check-the-status-of-your-handset/
and it says my IMEI number is currently blocked byu Optus since 2020,

I bought this phone from a guy who bought it new either on a plan and didnt want a Samsung.
He gave me his drivers license with picture and info and I have even had this registered with Samsung after getting it.

Who do I call to clear or unblock this, Optus? or Samsung? The transaction was done via digitally.

        • No idea about how to fix blocking. Was just a thought that someone who used those random imei generators may have accidently generated the same imei as yours. In past, it has caused issues trying to trade in phone you have traded before.

  • But I can use it on any network, I bought it new from the seller although he did open it and tried it.
It works everywhere and on everything except now doing a trade in. Flip, I dont know how or why this is blocked.

  • Just went to Optus, put in my IMEI (first 8 digits requested) which returns this:

    https://www.optus.com.au/support/checkdevice

    Device is NOT Blocked
Great news, based on the number you entered, the SAMSUNG GALAXY S10 device has not been identified as having compatibility issues and is not blocked from accessing the Optus mobile network. Advice is current as of 20/01/2025 and is subject to change. If you are having connection issues, it might be for other reasons. Contact your service provider or your device manufacturer for technical assistance.

Getting very confused with all this and who to see to deal with this.

  • After all digging around, I have been advised from CBA Yello that this is not a verified (genuine) offer.

Take caution as I have spoke with Samsung Support, esculated to Samsung eCommerce who cannot access the link above and then to Commbank who put me through to support, they guy new very little, he put me through to Yello department support, then I was put through to the higher level person who said they have no actual they put up.

So with all the time wasted, this is a scam or potential scam so will report to Admin out of formality.

Should anybody here has purchased from here then sound off what you bought and when and double check your transaction.

    • Did you get the offer in the app?
The discount has been given at checkout correctly if you met the criteria so it works and unless Samsung cancel the order, they can remove the discount afterwards and charge you an extra $100.

  • No could'nt see it in the App or the Yellow Cba site.
What is the so called Criteria on this anyway?

I spoke with 3 people at CBA and Yellow, the third one is part of the operational team and she said there was No such deal advertised at all.

Dont know who to believe anymore 8azinga, its just a complete waste of time. Surely there would be many more posts here if there was an actual deal and only being targeted at a few seems to defeat the purpose as you would have thought, let the water flow and sell sell sell so they can make dosh unlike keep it hush and only allow the worthy.

A deal so hush that not even the staff at CBA or Yello talk about or acknowledge.
Adding to that, Samsung eCommerce also advise they cannot access the so called site with the link given above.

Over it, have been trying to buy this for 5 days now and in figuring out which one to buy the $200 voucher is halved and no new codes to actually obtain healthy discounts from unless your a Edu or Club or Rome or EPP or Gov member.

    All the best mate.

    • Dont know what to tell you but the discount works. Seems like your issue was that your trade in got denied anyway so i'm not sure what CBA yello has to do with that.

      • If you got the targeted message via the Commbank app, you either must be a House Owner, or does over 30 transactions per month but not the 10/12 transactions per month option like me.

My trade got denied by my IMEI, yet samsung tests my IMEI via simulator on their site and they say it works, Samsung eCommerce also tests it on the EPP/Gov site and my IMEI works. What they are telling me is to contact CBA and Yello and see what they say. And what they say is that there is No such Promotion showing in their Yello offers.

All I have been doing is going around in circles with outside Samsung and outside CBA Yello, one IMEI check site that says the IMEI Number I gave is currently blocked by Optus, and yet again, I go to the Optus IMEI check on the Optus site and it states: Device is NOT Blocked.

Go figure, who and what to believe. Can believe anything it seems.
And after trying the link from this site, speaking 3 levels of Samsung Support and Samsung eCommers, CBA and Yello and their consultants, they advise there is No Such deal. I understand there is potential issues with my IMEI, but when they say there is No Deal and even Samsung eCommerce support cannot access the link at all, what does that tell you? Besides me being upset at all the run around and time wasted I am left to believe something is just not right.

The discounts being applied on the site work, yes, but I certainly hope you receive your item after its supposidly sent out.

        Anyway enough from me.

        • Try it on the JB site and see if you can get a quote to trade in and try it on the normal Samsung site or the app.

  • Register for the special secret sale event from the 17 Feb for additional discounts
