  • *Terracotta tiles: We no longer do

Is this common for other installers?

    • Probably more bother than it's worth, plus the overwhelming majority of properties in Brisbane are either concrete tile or Colorbond.

  • price increased from last deal :(

Wow merely 4 days they've increased by $700 bucks. lol

Also OP you should put From $3990 if that's not the final price… Don't mislead people.

      Different brands and product.

      • That's fair enough

Wtf is down voting you for realising your mistake and changing your mind… Too many degenerates here these days

      • my bad

  • +3

Ozbargainers, make sure you get heaps of quotes and research before settling on a installer.

  • What about a deal on a battery @Coffee-King

    • +1

      Not sure if one exists.

  • I have an existing 5kw system with Fronius inverter that covers half the roof. I'm considering doubling it using the other side of the roof. Would you do this as a separate 5kW system like this offer or replace the existing inverter with a 10kW? Does having 2 separate 5Kw systems complicate the connections to the meter / distribution box?

    • No, we just add another system like this, with export metering, if you have a single phase connection. We do it all the time.

      • Excuse my ignorance but is it the same thing if you've got 3 phase?

        • +1

3 phase is better, 3 phase connections have no export limit before 15kw of inverter.

You can export 15kw of inverter, with 20kw panels.

    • by default panels are installed on side where there is maximum sun pointing to, other side means they might be less efficient compared to original side.

      • Yeah, its not great. The house is oriented N-S so half the roof faces east and the other half faces west. The existing system is on the side facing east. But for a good enough price it might be worth it.

        • East West systems are near the top of the optimum configuration list. Its not just about how much power a layout produces, WHEN YOU USE THE POWER is also an important consideration when designing a layout. The better installers take this into account.

Unless you use significantly more power in the mornings having all your panels on the east side was not the best design for you. If you use as much in the afternoons, (or more which is more common) adding panels to your west roof will be a big improvement to your ROI. Your power generation will be roughly even through the day not all in the morning.

This assumes there are no shade differences between east and west that you havent mentioned.

  • What’s a 5+5, 10 year warranty, that the invertor has?

    • Hi, it's a full 5 year warranty, the next 5 years are 'parts only'.

      • Thanks.

the prices on the website are all higher. In on the Gold coast, what offer do I mention when I want to book a quote?

    • Just call us up and let us know that you seen the deal on ozbargain. Yeah, we are a proper high quality solar business, been going since 2012. It's a definite sale, that's for sure!
