  • Terracotta tiles: +$250

    Why the extra cost?

    • +5

The additional cost of terracotta tiles stems from the extra care required during installation. They are more brittle than concrete, which means we often need to replace a few and proceed more slowly to prevent damage, we need at least 10 spare tiles for the installation.

      • +1

Do you provide the 10 spare tiles?

  • @AndySolar - if I already have 3.5KW solar - could I just add this new 7.9KW without removing the existing one?

    • +1

Yes, you can either replace the old 3.5kW system or just add the 7.92kW alongside it if you’ve got enough roof space! We’ll need to check your grid export limit and switchboard, so send us your address and a switchboard pic to confirm.

  • Which battery is included (i.e. which model)?

    • +1

      Alpha ESS-SMILE-G3-B5 10.1

  • Bonus Offer: 10kWh Alpha Battery for $8800

So for $8800 you get the above listed 7.92kW Solar Package and the 10kWh Alpha battery?

    • +2

Now that would be a deal. Unfortunately not. It's two seperate deals.

      • +1

Thanks for clearing up my confusion :D

Might just request a quote for solar battery package and see how much it ends up costing

  • Supercheap!

  • +1

Why is a 3-phase meter $500 more. Is it that much more complex?

    • @andysolar what inverter are you including for the 3-phase?

      • +1

        GoodWe 3phase, GW6KAUDT

    • +1

The 3-phase meter costs more because it’s a beefier setup handles three power lines instead of one, which means more complex wiring and a pricier meter unit. Installation takes longer too!

  • Pity one of the parties didn’t offer some sort of federal battery subsidy instead of crap handouts. That would be more forward thinking and also Help take pressure off the grid.

    • Companies would just raise battery prices if they did.

    • +1

You could invest the money that you would have been spending on the now rebated electricity into your own battery…

  • How much only If I need to replace inverter?5 kw

    • Could you possibly provide us more details with the existing set up?

      • 6 kw system already installed inverter not working single story concrete tiles

  • What if we have already got the rebate? Can we just paid $4,800 for an extra system? I’ve already got a 6.6 system and want to add more.

    • Yes you can!! Just need your house address, swithboard picture.

      Thanks

  • What about STCs?

    • The price is post STCs & SolarVic incentives

      • It’s not in the price breakdown

Total Price: $4800 (Before SolarVIC rebate & loan)

        Out-of-Pocket: $3400
SolarVIC Interest-Free Loan: -$1400 (Repayable at $29/month over four years)
Upfront Cost: Just $2000 (Was $3200—saving you $1200!)

Any good deal on 6.6kw system? FIT almost worth nothing, no point getting bigger system. Thanks

    • +1

Great point about the FIT, since it’s barely worth a dime these days!
A bigger system shines if you’ve got high usage, plan to swap gas for electric appliances, or own an EV.
That said, a 6.6kW system is spot-on for a small family with standard needs. Our 6.6kW packages start at just $900 and go up to $1600, depending on roof type, switchboard, and extras. Need a detailed quote? Drop us a line at [email protected] or call 1300 930 245!

  • Price for 10kw system 3-phase, 2-storey, hybrid inverter?

  • +1

@AndySolar I already have an existing 6.6kW system with a 5kW Fronius Primo inverter. What is the ballpark figure to add the battery? Thanks.

    • You can add an Alpha battery, this retrofit battery can hook up with an existing solar system. The price is $8800 with a compatible switchboard and a single storey. Should you need a detailed quote, please email us your details.

  • Last time I asked for a quote by replying tomone of the ozbargain post, I only got a reply that there is not enough roof space. There was no other option suitable for my roof provided. So not sure about customer service.

  • @andysolar i got panels installed by you guys a couple months back, am i eligible for the 0$ upfront battery?

    • Yes you can get the battery offer too!

  • @AndySolar Got quote back for 2100$ for 6.6kw after rebate and Vic loan, is this correct?

    • Yes, if you have additional costs like double storey, 3phase and splits
