600m for 19.40 not too shabby either

    • thanks for the heads-up :)

      nice… 600m still available and works out cheaper ($1.52) than buying 4x 150m S&S
Also seems the 600m is a newer and more improved version which seals tighter.

WW essentials is actually cheaper ($4.25 equivalent.)

    • which one
      https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/search/products?searchTer…

      hows stickiness between them ?

      • Actually I got that last time works ok, better than Aldi I think. Funny if only glad has the technology.

      • Literally the "essentials", as opposed to armada.
Stickiness is fine on glazed crockery; poor on "earthern" style, but I'm not sure a real brand would be any better on that type.

  • The metal cutter thingy always bends and breaks on me. I prefer the swipe cutter things on some of the bigger rolls.

    • +2

Isn't this the swipe cutter? Or am I wrong?

    • I found a swiper thing with a sticky back in my pantry, stuck it on the box and it works great. I'm not sure where it came from though. Or how to take it off and attach it to a new box.

I bought the 300m from Aldi for $6.99.

The aldi version is quite bad. It's more plasticy and not clingy

      • Agreed the Aldi one is not clingy enough. The Costco version is 600m for around $17 and clings really well.

        • -1

can we return Aldi goliatch without receipt ?

  • +1

The bigger rolls from Asian shops are much better value. Works just as well.

  • +3

do these actually still cling because recently all the glad ones just slide around

  • +1

This doesn't seem to add to cart?

  • +1

    Cheers OP! 🍺

  • +1

    No s&s

  • +1

    Cant add to cart?

  • I only use the biodegradable now, atm it's not quite as clingly but it works fine and in some ways that's better, but regardless the plastic trash thing is completely out of control and if there's a non forever trash option I'll use it.

  • +3

People hate on plastics, but cling wrap is really useful for food storage and reuse, just like ziplock bags are (ziplocks are also good for medications, silver jewelry and anything else that degrades when exposed to water and/or oxygen).

I love suffocating my missus with these. Quality stuff

  • -1

is it sticky like our usual Velta ?
    https://bsbpackaging.com.au/products/clingwrap-dispenser-vel… ?

i have aldi goliath one and regret the purchase not as sticky

  • made in china , hmmm

  • unfortunately it doesnt cling on steel bowls very well
