  • looks like only the AC3 one is 179?

    • I included postage :)

      • when i select the COD one, it says 249.

        Product Features
Edition: Assassin's Creed III Liberation Wi-Fi

        All-in-one Limited Edition
        Assassin's Creed III Liberation
        PS Vita Wi-Fi system
        4GB Memory Card

    • Yes only the AC3 someone from Amazon already confirmed

      • -1

Received my vita today but I haven't got the code for PS plus or All star battle royale

  • Only for AC3 bundle, $249 for COD

  • -4

Anyone found a deal on the actual ps3 console? Cant find any, i am after one

  • Thanks a lot, Crusader. I have been wanting to get PS Vita but was waiting for a good deal on it before getting one.

  • Good deal! Do you have an affiliate link to throw up? Id rather send some money back to the community

  • +1

Will local games work on this or does it have region restrictions?

      • So buying the console from th US doesn't matter, it's only where you buy the games from / which country your account is registered with, right?
If you want to play games online without hassle, you can have an o/s handset and just buy games locally?

        • Correct. All vita games are region free however DLC is locked to the region the game is from. I.e. if your using an aus psn account on your vita (1 psn account per vita memory card, they are locked to a card until you format it), then buy a US game, the game will work but you will be unable to purchase any additional DLC for the game from the AUS psn or if the game has an Online Pass you will be unable to redeem it. It works fine though, just pick and choose where you order your games from based on which PSN account your using, if you need DLC or an online pass for a particular game etc. I use the AUS psn and have a mix of AUS digital and physical, US, JAP and HK physical.

  • Bought one! The extra deals (All Stars & PS+) are hidden well - so I do hope they also arrive!

  • Wait. Since this is from the USA, does it means you need a voltage converter?

    • +2

No voltage converter needed … Just the plug adapter.

      • +2

Just replace the cord, its a 2 pin (figure 8 style), you are sure to have one lying around somewhere.

  • Anyone with experience juggling multiple PSN accounts?

Do you think the All Star Battle Royale code will be redeemable on my existing AU PSN account or do I need to create a new US one?

Can there be multiple accounts on 1 PSVita/PS3 console?

    • +1

I think you need US account to redeem Playstation All Star Battle Royale. I'm not so sure about switching accounts on Vita but it's easy on PS3.

      • You're right. Some quick googling confirms Greenius's comment below. Only 1 PSN account per memory card. Games are locked to each account's region.

    • +3

You will no doubt need a US Account to redeem the code. It's always been the case for me redeeming codes from another region on PS3

      • That's right, works the same way PS3 works.

    • +1

I don't have a Vita but I think it's something like one account PER a memory card. So it's not something like the PS3 where you can easily access content from other regions on the same console with different accounts. It's basically one account at any given time. I also believe that whenever you swap out the memory card to another account you have to reset the Vita. It's not very convenient or easy but it's still somewhat possible.

Thanks for pointing out the PS: All-Star thing though, I completely forgot it'll be for the US. Probably safe to assume PS+ will be too but that's okay since the US PS+ has better Vita games at the moment.

I'll probably try to have the 4GB set up as the US one for the duration of the 3 month US PS+ then have another memory card linked up to my main AU account.

Hopefully Amazon can combine shipping so I can order Persona 4 and a 32GB. (EDIT: seems like the 32GB can't be shipped to Australia)

      • +1

That one account per card things sounds painful. Now I need another mem card.

I bought Persona 4 with this but they won't ship the 32GB card. Still hunting for a good place to buy one.

        • Seems like we're in the same boat. I'm holding out to see if any deals pop up over Christmas but I'll definitely need to get another memory card since my main AU account already has PS+ and I'd like to take advantage of the games (and also Trophies :P)

As for the account thing, this tutorial from IGN might explain it a bit better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DWsKE6tStQ

        • +1

32GB card for around $80 shipped. http://www.superufo.com/products/psvita/PS_VITA_PSVITA___Mem… Delivery takes 1-2 weeks. Have ordered from the site many times, very reliable and quick.

  • +1

Thanks for the deal. I'm glad I held out on that Amazon Italy deal last week.

I was planning on buying a 32GB from them but it doesn't look like they ship that to Australia. Does anyone have any recommendations of where I can pick one up for a decent price?

Michael15286 on the Italy deal recommended SuperUFO for $77.69, any other places and are they reliable? Thanks!

    • Had a look at that site too. It's the cheapest price I've found so far. The site itself does not instil confidence though. Account registration does not even have SSL. They don't have guest checkout either. Going look around a bit more but if I don't find anywhere else, I'll probably use Paypal instead of credit card.

      Edit: Accidentally a word.

      • +3

Myself and many people over on whirlpool have ordered from superufo. Great prices and quick delivery. I've chosen the cheapest shipping option every time I've ordered and they have arrived between 1-2 weeks from HK.

  • It is an awesome deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much !!!

  • I have ordered mine, thank you so much! been looking for a great vita deal.

  • +4

Damnnn you people!!!! I'm buying on impulse now!!!!!!!

    Lol

    • Haha Same!

Is it still a bargin if l only bought it because it was cheap?!

BTW: If you have ps+, this is a good deal…

      • not sure if i can cross play all stars on the PS3

        but that would be sweet

        • +1

I think you also need a PS3 copy for that to work and as far as I know, buying a Vita copy does NOT get you a PS3 copy (whereas buying a PS3 copy gets you a Vita copy)… oh well!

I hear they're practically identical on both systems though so I'm not too fussed. I never played the Beta so I'll be interested in seeing how it turns out.

  • -1

Is this part of the black friday sales? And has this unit been hacked yet?

    • +1

… Seriously, if you're after info on hacking. This ain't the forum

  • Can I get any warranty in Aus?? If I cannot, where can I repair vita??
Thank you for deal again !! it is a great deal man~

  • Bought along with hot shots golf for ~$220 delivered great deal thanks op.

  • now the problem is the spartan grips don't come in white

  • +3

just note that you need an american credit card in order to redeem the PS+. australian credit cards won't work and neither do prepaid cards

    • +2

what?! That is a dealbreaker for me =(

    • Oh what?! I thought it would be a code we could just redeem for the 3 months rather than the "enter your credit card and we'll autorenew you" trial system they're having. Oh well, thanks for the heads up though!

Somewhat disappointing since I'd need to set up a US account anyway for PS: All Stars and the US PS+ has better (and more) Vita games on offer than the PAL store, but no big loss.

    • Entropay. Use it. Virtua American CC.
      https://www.entropay.com/
      Safe & easy

      • Requires deposit of $20..This better work

  • +2

If anyone is wondering, PS+ games:

    Uncharted: Golden Abyss
    Gravity Rush
    WipEout 2048
    Jet Set Radio
Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack
Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions (PSP)

    • +3

      For PAL region stores (AUS/NZ/Europe):

      Uncharted: Golden Abyss
      Gravity Rush
Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack
      Chronovolt

      • For the PAL region games, how would we claim the PS+ membership? Using the US or Australian credit card?

        • With the bonus 3 month subscription from this deal you will only be able to subscribe to the US psn., it will be a US psn redeeming code. And even then to redeem it you may need a US credit card as most likely it will need one to being auto billing you at the end of the period. However if you subscribe to the AUS psn from the vita itself if you buy one, you will get a bonus 3 months on a 12 month subscription. Seems to be a deal Sony is doing for a limited time.

        • you can't. it's pretty much pointless posting all the PS+ games here, unless you got a free trial from here (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/83697) before or you already have a subscription

        • +1

PAL region games refers to those from a PAL region PSN (Playstation Network) store. Since this refers to our own store, you can use an Australian credit card or just buy PSN cards from various retails to add funds to your wallet/account and buy it from there. I'm not entirely sure if a US credit card will work for it but I've bought content using an Australian credit card for my main Australian account.

As for redeeming this trial for a PAL PS+? I don't think you can since it's most likely going to available for US only (hence why you need a US credit card to redeem it). I know PAL has a similar deal with a trial and you need to have a credit card linked up so it can charge you after the period is over to autorenew your sub (you can cancel autorenew though). Sort of similar to cheap Xbox Live Gold deals floating around.

Since the Vita can only have one account at any given time, most people prefer to have a US account since games are cheaper there and they have more things available. You can also buy US PSN cards and redeem them for a PS+ memberships or other store content. newox was only referring to needing a US credit card for the PS+ trial available in this bundle. You do NOT need a US credit card for to buy a US PS+, you only need one to redeem this trial. Plenty of my friends have a US PS+ subscription just from dollar cards/codes they've bought online.

Personally, not having the 3 month trial isn't a huge loss or deal breaker for me since I'm already subscribed to the PAL PS+ and if you're new to Vita/PSN (which I assume you are) I highly recommend signing up for PS+ from either region for the free games and other offers. The only problem with this deal is the code for Playstation All Stars: Battle Royale is most likely a US code and therefore requires a US account.

Sorry if that went on for too long, I just tried to explain it :). Feel free to ask any more questions!

  • I LOVE YOU,

  • +2

Just in case anyone is interested the priority shipping option costs an extra $8.98

    • Yeah I got it, pretty cheap and I leave for a 34 hour trip in 7 days

  • if i not mistaken, electronic games from amazon.com would not deliver to aus.

    • it's not digitally delivered by amazon anyway

  • Hi guys

Researched about getting a US psn account to activate All stars

Try setting up an account Without a US credit card

But if al fails, try buying a store card on eBay

    http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1058189

    • Ohh, old thread.
If by store card you mean PSN Credit, go to Amazon and buy it digitally. You need a US address but it instantly delivers you the code to your e-mail, so you can use a AUS credit card as long as your address is US.
This is how I do all my US PSN transactions now. It's awesome :D (I think they only have $50 at the moment though)

If you mean you need the credit card to sign up for PSN+ like mentioned previously… I used to use Entropay like the Whirlpool forum suggests but now PSN doesn't accept it. But I had no issue signing up with just prepaid cards, so I don't know…

      • I'm referring to creating an US account so i can redeem the All star DLC with this bundle.

        • I don't think you need a card then, I think it's only PS+ that needs it since it's a subscription service!

        • I'm pretty sure you only need a US credit card to set redeem the PS+ trial included in this bundle, not for setting up a US PSN account. I have PSN accounts for most of the regions (Australia (PAL), US, Asia, Japan) which I made just by using different email addresses and setting my address as somewhere from those respective regions.

  • Ordered…

    Now I need a 32GB memory card… Hmmm

    • Check out the link I posted in a comment above. Superufo for around $80 delivered. Cheapest around and arrives in 1-2 weeks. They are a trustworthy site.

  • +1

God dammit Ozbargain… I should be saving!

  • Thanks for posting - fantastic deal. Not so fond of the white colour, but at this price, who cares! Planning on making a US PSN account and subscribing to US PS+ anyway.

  • +7

I have to apologise for not responding in the thread sooner, I fell asleep not long after posting … ( tends to happen when you stay up all night waiting for a deal to go live )

I'm glad plenty of people were able to pick up the deal.

  • hmm, slightly pissed i missed this, but thankful ive not parted with $200 = + 1

  • I'd been eyeing this bundle for a while now even when it was $250, but it always said it wouldn't deliver to my address. Even as recently as yesterday. They changed that?

    • it did atleast before this lightning sale, i think the postage was around $30ish for me

      • How long does a lightning sale usually last? Because the price was $250 before this, and now it went up to $300. MSRP is only $249.

        • That's because Amazon sold out. The price you see there is from a 3rd party reseller.

        • When Amazon sells out, do they delete their own profile page for the item and only show a reseller's, or will they have a page saying "temporarily unavailable" or "out of stock" and include their list price for when it returns to stock?

This 3rd party reseller is selling for $50 above MSRP.

        • Amazon first party and resellers items use the same page with specs, reviews etc.

Usually you can choose between them in the 'sold by' box at the top, if Amazon is out of stock / discontinued the option disappears and the next cheapest reseller pops up. Many items sell for above retail (Check the Vocaloid vita console for $950 lol), Amazon don't mind

  • +1

For those that missed out; there is the black ops bundle going for 199 USD at http://tinyurl.com/abn5r2f and http://tinyurl.com/c9wutrz. You can use a mail forwarding service such as http://www.priceusa.com.au/index.html and it'll be around 220AUD delivered.
    Source: http://us.playstation.com/psvita/blackfriday/

  • far out…. missed it.

    • I went to bed one hour before it went live. :(

I will get it from gamestop instead for $200 plus $8 shipping. I'll have a freight forwarder (I got codes for $40 credit) send it to me. I would have much preferred Amazon though.

  • Dick Smiths has the 32meg card for $91. (20% off)

Certainly not cheap compared to OS but for local pick …. ok?

    http://dicksmith.com.au/product/YG1629/ps-vita-32gb-memory-c…

    • I think I'll wait for someone to make a MicroSD to Vita memcard converter. Sony must think we're fools if we're paying $100 for 32GB.

      • Wont happen any time soon, not until the vita is fully hacked. The Sony memory cards have their own proprietary security on them, one of the main reasons Sony is forcing people to buy them. Hackers helped to kill the psp, hope it doesn't happen to the vita.

        • +1

Hackers are a scape goat. What killed the PSP was the DS. Much cheaper and easier to make games on the DS due to it being a mini N64, thus games are more profitable, more developers are on board making more games, and they make games for a much wider audience than the PSP. That's what killed the PSP.

A majority of the games on DS are shovelware that you wouldn't want to play, but this shovelware sells to a bigger market than the 'hardcore' games.

Piracy/hacking on PSP is blown way out of proportion. Only early models could be hacked, and the people who did it probably weren't the majority. Every system gets hacked and pirated, but it doesn't stop them from selling really well. PS2 and Wii for example.

Piracy is just an excuse. The PSP failed for reasons other than that, and it seems the Vita is failing for the same reasons as the PSP. No one wants one due to alternatives available. The Vita isn't hacked yet, so what's their excuse for it failing?

  • +1

Received an email today with the download codes. Are these codes in any way tied to my Amazon account? If not, I'd give them away because I'm never going to use them.

    • I don't think they are. Pretty sure you can just share them and anyone can redeem them. I was just about to post some questions about the codes actually.

Has anyone used the PS+ codes? Is it still the sort of trial where you'll need to put a valid (US) credit card in order to redeem or can you just straight up enter the code and then get PS+?

I got codes but not going to use it until I receive my Vita (so I'm not wasting my subscription) if anyone has used them can you please let me know? Thanks!

      • If you have a ps3 already then just use the plus code now and download all the current vita plus games to your ps3. (And all the ps3 ones). That way they will be ready to go when your vita arrives. Over wise you will miss out on the current games available if your vita doesn't arrive for a month,. Each months the games get refreshed but as long as you have added the current games to your download list, you can redownload them at any point and continue to play them until your account expires. Obviously this idea only works if you intend to keep your plus account active after 3 months, which I highly recommend doing.

        • I've already got PS+ on my AU account extended until 2014 which is why I don't intend to keep a US one as well (no point paying for two if they're virtually the same).

If the codes work then I'll just use it for the US account to get the PS+ exclusives (Wipeout, FF and JSR).

I forgot about the swapover so thanks for the reminder but I don't think they'll go any time soon since Vita stuff only came out on the 20th. If I were to redeem it now I'll be wasting however long it takes between now and when my Vita arrives which I could essentially use to complete the exclusive games.

    • Should be fine to give away.
They look like standard PSN Codes to redeem in the playstation store.

I'll put my hand up if anyone doesn't want their codes.

      • Once I'm certain they are in no way linked to my account I'm more than happy to forward you the codes.

        • +1

They are definitely not linked to your account. Anyone can enter your code into the psn store and redeem the games. It's just a generic code generated to provide the content, not associated to you at all.

        • Ok thanks. Crusader PM me with your details if you would like the codes.

        • PM sent… Thanks

  • Price drop impending for Vita. Wouldn't be surprised if this deal is the norm come January.

    • Is this confirmed by any reputable sources?

  • -1

Possible change in price for Pack - Amazon $179 Assassin Creed pack with 4GB (White) Vita - this Friday

    http://www.destructoid.com/ps-vita-assassin-s-creed-3-bundle…

Makes the $195 price not so good! Maybe the rumoured pre xmas price drop is true.

    • That was the price. 195 is including shipping.

  • Mine is already in hawaii! Should be delivered by tomorrow..

  • Got mine this morning, it was just left on my doorstep… didn't even ring the doorbell…

    • UPS or DHL?

      • DHL

  • Sweet.. mine just turned up.. and it's already fully charged.. now to decide whether to set up a US or an AU account..

Also, the power cord is just a detachable 'figure 8' so really, it makes no difference whatsoever and is easily replaced with an AU plug..

  • Got mine yesterday although it didn't come with a PS+ voucher and a download code for PS All Stars. Anyone else have the same problem?
