The Level Lock Matte Black is normally around $340ish dollars and now down to $265.31 + P&H shipped via Amazon US.

I’ve been waiting for this to drop for a while now and grabbed myself a deal.

According to the Camels this is the lowest it’s been and by a fair bit (about $40).

The designers of this lock are ex Apple employees, so I think you can trust that the app and design is going to be pretty high in quality.
Looks like a good, solid app to me.

From a quick look a decent number of amazon reviews are pretty damning!?!

    • Have to agree, lots of 1 star reviews

      • I used this lock for about 2-3 years, a lot of people have back experience with homekit locks because they run over bluetooth. that means you'll need to ensure a home hub is within decent range to make sure you don't see "no response" I woudl've stuck with level but I wanted a home key lock, and the prices were too expensive at the time.

  • Thanks for this - though AUD$265.37 is still a decent amount of money. What automation system does it use please? Is it HomeKit only? Or can you bridge it using Home Assistant please?

As someone who is always security conscious, I would not advise this at all… It's just an easy target for thieves that hope people have this kind shit security.

My advice stick to a regular key lock. it makes it just hard enough someone will probably notice before they pick it.

Without Apple designers, you wouldn’t have Samsung “designers”

I'd rather all the designers, regardless of their corporate heritage, buggered off and left the engineers to design a lock. Doors don't stay shut because an app looks prettiful.

      • I would advise against a smart lock that is for Samsung too? I don't get your point here bro, keep down voting and spouting useless crap though dude its working real good.

Aqara U50 is much better option during their EOFY sale.

    • I'd go with this or one with a fingerprint

  • Also the app is not available in Australian App Store. You need to have US App Store to download the native app.

    • I have the app from a while ago. If you search level on the App Store it isn’t one of the first ones to show, you have to search level lock.

  • I have a level bolt for 1 year now. First had issues dropping out of connection and “booting up” noise most times it was locked. Replaced with another unit fixed the issue. Seems like there’s not much fault checking with them.

  • Can anyone recommend a lock like this that will work on a crim mesh patio door?

  • Yeah the most this is worth is about $100.
Its an old product that doesn't support threads.

Cool e-lock with terrible cylinder override. No security pins and trivially defeatable.

    • Not defending the bad security with a $300 lock, however if required the lock can be rekeyed.
