That's a Selley question to ask

Selleys is usually pretty good, at this price why not try it?

      If it's Selleys, it works.

Recent reviews for the bathroom cleaner aren't great

Thanks. My thought is that compare to Aldi similar bathroom products that also kills 99.9% germs and cheaper, would that make a significant differences?

    • What’s the Aldi one worth? Per 100 which is cheaper?

There are two things I think to condsider one is disinfectant and one is surfactant. Surfactants loosen up material so that it can be removed. I dunno which is better from the two products but it's something to consider and seems to have more variability between products than disinfectant.

  • bought couple. Thanks OP

  • Cheers OP, ordered.

  • Can't really find anywhere - is the floor cleaning product safe for pets? thx!

Or has anyone used it but got a puppy/dog at home? thanks

    • Depends on the type of pet

I've been using it for the last 6 months at home, I've found it cleans really well when mixed properly with hot water.
Got 2x dogs at home and never had issues

Yeah none of the animals have been able to open it with their paws yet.

    • Floors get a bit slippery when wet. So it's not totally safe but this helps.

Commercial brands: some the more "gentle" ones I feel are too weak. But you can always try them…
For actual wee: enzyme-based ones are used.
      This could be good:

Home recipes are safe: vinegar does have a smell: try a couple of drops of scent oil to disguise.
Use double strength white vinegar, a cup per bucket of warm water.

      As per AI
      Other pet-safe cleaning options:

Baking soda: Use baking soda to clean and disinfect your floors and carpets.
Castile soap: Castile soap is a natural soap that is safe to use around pets.
Hydrogen peroxide: Hydrogen peroxide can be used to clean pet stains and odours.

      • thanks for this, will try this cleaner and see how it goes. Also thanks so much for the home recipes!

  • Can these be used for a robo vac?

    • Probably? Instructions say to dilute it with water so you'll probably just need to get that mixture right.

    • Yes I use it this way. Works well.

Using a pH-neutral cleaner with benzalkonium chloride and surfactants in your robot water tank is not recommended for a few reasons:

Risk of Clogging or Residue Buildup – Even though the cleaner is pH-neutral, surfactants can leave behind residue in the internal water pathways, potentially clogging the nozzles or affecting the electronic components over time.

Rubber and Seal Damage – Benzalkonium chloride (a disinfectant) may degrade rubber seals and plastic components in the water tank or pump system over extended use.

      Alternative Solutions:
If you want a cleaning solution, lightly spray a diluted mix of your floor cleaner onto the floor before mopping rather than putting it in the tank.
Some robot vacuum users mix a small amount of vinegar or diluted cleaner into the water, but this still carries risks.

      • I have a steam cleaner hard floor vac and mop and robot vac and mop will try this in diluted form. I believe it will damage both?

        • Vinegar and methylated spirits are always safe.
Mix in a small amount of your floor wash to the mixture:
Mixed up in a bottle first:
Dilute it enough with water so it does not foam up much.
Then maybe you can give it a this a go.

    • If they foam up easily: likely not.

  • Thanks, got the floor cleaner to try.

  • Thanks. Got 3 x floor cleaner.

  • Doesn’t tricleanium cover all the scenarios? And I think it’s also pet safe? Just a very strong alkaline solution.
