  • Nice, just printed some Ozito to Ryobi adapters and was gonna grab the 4 x 4ah bundle but this will be good with the fast charger.

    • Ditto, got the 4 x 4ah bundle with Milwaukee adaptor.

      • +1

I can't fully remember which brand but IIRC it's Milwaukee who put the anti run flat circuitry in the batteries rather than the tools to combat 3rd party batteries, so you might be able to run these batteries flat to the point of damaging them in the adaptors.

Or I could be completely wrong!

        • pretty sure its the other way round - most batteries have the BMS and anti flat tech onboard. don't know about milwaukee, but the Dewalt batteries don't have it- they have it in the tools. So if you put an adaptor on a dewalt battery and used it in a different brand tool it won't stop when it gets too low, instead the battery will flatten too low and destroy itself.

Anyway the ozito batteries have the cutout circutry in the batteries :)

    • Did you 3D print these?

      • I did, they are on Printables. "Ozito Battery to Ryobi Skin" by 05WEL

Same person made one for the Aldi Xfinity batteries aswell.

        • I just found 05WEL's one this morning. I know what I'm printing tonight!

          • @Hipsi: I got all the bits and bobs off Ali for about $20 with a heap of each, test printed before they arrived and its not bad to print, some people would have most bits and I guess the spring is probably the least common bit. Happy printing!

            • @Daemonic: I have a couple of dead Ryobi batteries. I'll pull one apart to see if the spring and terminals can be transferred from it. Heading to bunnings now.

As per other post….chuck em in your dead Dyson Vac (adapter $9 - $30) - Ali Express

    • Can you link me to the other post which has links to the Dyson adapter plz?

I bought one Einhell (Ozito ) to Dyson V6 for about $20 two days ago.

        • Cheers!

        • Is einhell cross compatible with ozito?

          • +7

            @J0t: Einhell make Ozito..

            And Einhorn is Finkle…

    • Agreed. Also worth nothing is unless you are buying a top tier dyson they only come with 2ah batteries. Putting a 4ah as per this deal will double the runtime. Being able to swap in/out the 2 batteries in this deal means you can quadruple the runtime.

      • I don't know about Ozito, but my Dyson stops working when my 5Ah Makita battery goes down to ~50% because the voltages are different (genuine V10 battery is 25.2V while Makita is 18.5V). So effectively your 4Ah Ozito will work like a 2Ah Dyson battery, unless the adapter has a DC-DC step-up converter in it.

        • … sort of..true that the Dyson V10 has an extra cell in series.. But… The Makita voltage shouldn't drop as much per cell when under load. So should equal out..ish. Is your Makita pack getting on a bit?
But, I agree that you are unlikely to get the full 80% usable out of the Ozito. But still should be slightly better than the orii.

          • @tunzafun001:

Is your Makita pack getting on a bit?

Yeah, it works fine. I just have to change the battery when it goes down to 2 LEDs (out of 4).

Also most power tool batteries are rated at 20A continuous load (30A peak), so they can't in general power the 525W motor continuously ([email protected]). It's actually a good thing (for the batteries) to change them frequently.

            • @bio: Cheers for the 20A info. Need to test this out. Run my daughters electric car off a 4Ah Makita pack. Amazed how well it goes..Must be right on 20A.

  • Must resist….
Surely there must be something like AA for impulsive Ozito battery buying….

    • How many do you have?

      • Far too many…

        • I dunno Jack, sounds like a couple more could be handy…

Just what I need for the new Ozito Coffee Machine

    • +1

Me: huh… I wonder how he somehow spoofed the url display to show ozito.com.au link

      Also me: ITS REAL??!!

      • +2

Yup Einhell released it a few months ago. You're gonna look so cool at the job site with this. The downside is it's like the Makita and takes 5 minutes to brew.

      • Also me: ITS REAL??!!

        Exactly my reaction, too. :-D

    • Makes American Ass water coffee

      • Works the same way as any others really. Pushing water through coffee grounds.

        • Not a push, just a drip through.

          • +1

@tunzafun001: Oh you're right. Add some ice cubes and make it cold brew haha.

    • Nice machine

  • I have just seen a few days ago one of these big boys in the ozitio brand 36v Vacuums at Oxenford .. https://www.einhell.co.uk/p/2347170-te-vc-36-25-li-s-solo/

    • I wish they would make a brushless stick vac!

      • Grab any brushless stick vac (Dyson ..Kmart… whatever) from the Bunnies ecycle bin. Use these batteries with an Ali Express (see above) adapter.

    • Do you remember what price it was?

  • Anyone in Brisbane not need the charger? I have oodles of batteries but my fast charge has died.

  • Anyone got an ozito to Makita adapter they recommend?

  • +3

If you already have a fast charger, wonder if the 4 pack is better value?

    • Now this is the bloody bargain!!!!

      Ozito PXC 18V 4.0Ah Battery Quad Pack for $129 ( 4 x 4 Amp batteries = $32.25 per 4 Amp battery. )

Now I need to make a really difficult decision, trying damn hard to resist buying more for my collection…….

Edit: this probably deserves its own post.
