    waiting for mx master 4

    • +1

Yeah, same. But the Master 3s is good enough.

      • +3

        Understatement

    • What do you think Mxmaster 4 will that this doesn’t?

      • +16

I’m going to be disappointed if it isn’t something to do with AI

        • +8

MX master 4 will have dedicated Ai button for sure.

          • +16

@Wiadro: I think you're making a good case for buying the 3, before Logitech slap some AI crap in it and try to charge more :joy:

            • +15

@Osiris: $49.95 per month for the dedicated ai button to work.

            • +2

@Osiris: You’ll need use the business version to strip AI out of Logi Options+ (at least for now), otherwise those components would continue to consume system resources.

          • +1

@Wiadro: Will pay more for no AI button.

          • @Wiadro: Mx master 3s has chatgpt button

        • +10

AI scroll wheel. Instead of having a physical wheel our patented LogAI (pronounced "laggy") agent will detect when it thinks you should be scrolling, e.g. when there's non-logitech products visible on your screen, and helpfully scroll for you. Never again be burdened by having to think about when and how you should scroll.

Free for the first 6 months then $69.96/m on-going or $696.90 if you pay yearly. Failure to pay will constitute breach of contract and your mouse will be bricked to prevent further infringement.

May display helpful adverts at an interval of 30 per minute.

        • +5

Good, now I can blame mouse AI when caught looking at unsavoury content.

    • When?

    • +3

Can't justify buying a third MX 3S so yeah, come on 4 :))

      • Just grab replacement housing or a battery from AliExpress and DIY. It’s not that hard.

    • +5

People asking what's the upgrade to their S3 while my MX Master 1 still going strong some 7 years on (got from one of the JB deals for around $70), what's improved between 1 and 4 that's the real question, everyone keeps upgrading but why?

    • i said this in 2022

    • You'll be waiting awhile. The 3S is their flagship mouse and there's not much to be improved on.

  • Hit up Officeworks for a price match and discount… they are still trying to flog this for $169.

    https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/logitech-m…

Or those that prefer Amazon (quick delivery and free no nonsense returns), it's $105. If you tack it on to something else to buy and get it over $200, you'll get another $10 off (ZIP10OFF at checkout).

    https://www.amazon.com.au/Logitech-MX-Master-3S-Performance/…

    • I think you can get $20 off using 20PRIME if you sign up for a prime trial account as well to get it even cheaper

  • -1

Not sure if OW will price match and discount eBay, but it's currently $105 (38% off) on Amazon.

    • +1

I dont think so, from their terms

      What are you talking about?

      • +1

Perhaps referring to the quality (or lack thereof) of the Logi+ app which is used to configure the mouse and its actions.

It's has been a buggy piece of bovine excrement until about 2 months ago when Logitech finally fixed some of the most serious bugs. The main issue is with the background services Logi+ installs and depends on; they have frequently crashed leading to button and wheel actions, scroll direction, etc. not working as configured. The fix has always been to restart those background services and you are good to go until they crash again. These crashed services also cause the infinitely spinning 'wait' circle when you start the Logi+ frontend app.

The problems have affected both Windows and MacOS versions of Logi+. Recent versions have fixed most of these crash bugs but not 100% eliminated them. There is also one fairly serious bug in the MacOS version (which may exist in the Windows version, but I haven't tested) - if an app is full screen, none of the custom configured button actions work on the app. Exit full screen and buttons work as configured again. Hopefully that will be fixed soon.

The MX Master 3S is such a good mouse I've accepted and lived with the Logi+ issues. Best productivity mouse I have ever used. Have 3 of them. It's also worth calling out how good the battery is. Lasts for months even with all day WFH level usage.

      Works fine with win11 23H2.

    • +1

      huh

    • +2

I been using it with windows 11 for few years now lol

    • +4

I can use mine with Windows 98.

      • +2

I can use it on windows 3.1

    • +1

      Lol…

    • +1

      Works good with Chromeos!

    • +1

I've got an old abacus which surprisingly seems to be perfectly compatible also…

  • -5

Just got it for 85 with eBay plus

  • I have small hands, and want a mouse that I can use for occasional gaming (fps or 3rd person shooters). But majority if use is for office work. Any recommendations?
Wired or wireless doesn't matter, but wireless will be a bonus.
Currently have a Razer viper mini, which I like because of the small size.

      G703

    • +1

Depends on your grip type. Perhaps a Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED - wireless only?

      • Claw grip generally.

Thank you, I'll check it out.

    • +2

      Logitech lift

  • +2

Get it for $85 if you're a plus member. Voucher is: PLUSFYDLMTGM3V7M

    • “Looks like wrong code. Please double check and try again.”

      I do have eBay plus.

I think this code is unique to you guys.

I got a similar code, it only does $5.25

      • Yep i have similar plusxxxx code onky reduce 5.25

      • Same here, only $5.25 with my code :(

    • Thanks but no go for me either. Comes up with error

    • +10

Subjective matter… I find the MX Master 3S very comfortable to use.

    • +2

Disagree completely, best mouse I've ever owned.

    • Why do you need to use claw grip on a mouse designed for office use?

      • -4

Because that's the grip I've used with various mouse for over 2 decades? You don't just change grip depending on the mouse and activity.

Anyways, this place sucks and votes are pack mentality losers.

        • +3

          Lol you okay brah?

        • +1

You need a hug? Are you ok?

  • +1

Nice. Thanks. I've got an old MX Master 2, that I've worn a hole in the thumb pad.

Just recently transferred $100 from Cashrewards to my Paypal account. Was wondering what I was going to spend it on.

  • Thanks! Been looking to replace my trusty MX Master 2s that I've been using for many years now and that just refuses to die - only the hyperscroller isn't working smoothly anymore. Hopefully the 3s is just as reliable and durable. Best mice in the world!

    Page not found unfortunately

  • Had a few, rubber always seems to go bad after a few years.

Happend with the 3 and slowly with the 3s now, i was hoping that was fixed.

  • +2

was not a fan of this wireless mouse. i noticed to much lag with the cursor to hand movements.

  • This grinds my gears just payed 115 and though that was a good price lol 😂 Great deal this.

  • How many Microsoft Excel rows can this scroll at one time?

    • +1

It sometimes scrolls too fast and or too slow

It's annoying af but useful sometimes when you simply need to scroll to the far end.

      • You can adjust the speed in settings

  • +1

    I bought this one when I received a 30$ retention gift card 😂 80$

  • Good product. Hate their software though

  • +5

Use Student Beans or Student Edge voucher to bring it down to $85.

    • Yep this works, you are a legend! Thanks.

  • Been waiting for another opportunity to strike at this, thanks OP

    great mouse. horrible connection.

in my use case, The mouse is less than 1m away from the usb receiver and is very unstable. constantly dropping out, but works great when 40cm or less.
When connected via bluetooth, it seems like it switches the bluetooth off when mouse hasn't moved in last 5 or so seconds, so when you go to use the mouse again, there is an annoying 1-2 second delay before it responds.
bluetooth connection works great when the mouse is always moving.

Been like this since purchase over 2 years ago. as of this post it has not been fixed via update.

    • +1

I have a similar issue when connected via usb receiver. The mouse sometimes stutters and lags.

I use the mouse within 1m of the receiver.

Moving/shaking the mouse rapidly seems to temporarily fix the stuttering, but it occurs at least once a day.

Never had this issue with other 2.4ghz usb mices.

Connecting via bluetooth seems to be more stable for me.

    • same issue with logitech stuff lately

    • With my 3 it's fine 99% of the time, but that other 1% it becomes very frustrating to use. Stuttering and delayed movement.

I'm assuming it's some sort of interference but have never worked out what it could be and it doesn't happen too often.

  • No wheel tilt…

    • thumb wheel can do tilt action, or whatever you want. controls are customisable.

  • +1

Tempting but unlucky big mouse. Anywhere seems to fit my palm more nicely. Any mini version of this?

  • strangely enough, you cant use it wired. can only be used via the 2.4ghz receiver or bluetooth. Cable is purely for charging only.

  • Does this give warning when battery running out? my keyboard doesn't but then can slap in fresh eneloops to get going.

    • yes, via a led indicator on device and on screen popup

      • So you gotta recharge it overnight before the next morning action.

        • Rarely needs charging.
put it on charge when cooking/eating dinner etc, will be done by the time you finish.
enjoy wireless action for what seems like eternity. even when promped to recharge, you still have a considerable amount of time left.
can be used while charging as well

    • Ok my 3 I get a notification that the battery is critical but nothing before that. You can still use while charging, but I wish it gave earlier warning so I wasn't draining the battery so much.

  • Damn just missed out
