You need to add the camera as standalone then search for the solar panel on its own and add to cart. When checkout it will show the right price.

My mistake was doing that. Google thought the house and then ring camera’s.
I have this at home and it performs ok.
I bought it from JB hifi a while ago on sale for $113 and added a third party 6W solar panel purchased off ebay for ~$30Battery is always charged, and I can run it on highest settings.
Subscription to cloud is ok if you have 3+ ring devices as the price caps
I bought the bigger Ring solar panel, and it’s been great. I’m guessing it would be the smaller panel that they are giving people in this deal

I’ve got these and you absolutely need the solar panel, and I’d highly recommend a second battery which you can get for $30 on eBay.. They use plenty of battery power

Yes, but it will only show a live feed. You need the cloud to save/access recordings from trigger events.
Are there any cameras where I can wire up to my own hard drive…? All these security cams have their own subscription and it sucks.

I have a Reolink Argus Pro 3 with solar panel and that comes with a lifetime free cloud subscription, you get 1GB of storage. That doesn't sound like much, but I get easily 2 weeks worth of storage at the highest quality before it deletes the any videos, because it only records when motion is detected. Mine is set to the highest possible sensitivity, and that 2 weeks can include multiple days of kids kicking a ball around, 2 hours washing and vacuuming cars and some false detections due to the sensitivity being so high.
If there's a LOT of activity, I still get at least 7 days of cloud storage before it's overwritten by new vids.
It has an SD card in it as well, I think I put a 128GB in it, it wouldn't surprise me if there's 12+ months of videos on it.
