      I doubt.

Checkout what happened after 15 released. Not to mentioned 16 is the Apple AI year I am expecting huge update, 15 will go down even further and quicker. Just hold for 2 months if you can.

Well you have got a point I shall wait 🙏

        • I agree I think for pro its definitely worth holding out for 2 more months but do you think it is worth buying the Iphone 15 non-pro from this deal for $800?

          • +1

@outcastlunatic: Absolutely a great deal for non pros. I guess I won't see it lower than 1k again in the next one or two years.
I have 14pro so no need for 15, but if I only have 14 or prior I will jump onto the 15 immediately.

  • Checking if people are buying new sims to port over for this?

Get ready to see iPhones on FB marketplace soon 😂

    • +1

worst place to sell iPhones, many scammers watching!

  • How much would it cost for iphone 15 plus?

    • There isn’t any “special” discount mentioned in the link provided above. So I’d assume it’s just a flat $1300 discount instead

  • Can you just cancel the plan by porting your number out and receive a bill for $800? Or is it necessary to go through chat to do that?

  • Can you use giftcards to pay $800 plus the phone price?

    • +1

No. For cancellation fee, it will be charged by Telstra /(Not JB). So, you can't use giftcard.

  • +2

Can you use TCN/JB vouchers for the handset cost in store?

  • Can I just port out before the end of the first month? All the comments above seem to refer to cancelling only

    • yes you can port out. it be the same as breaking the contract.

  • +1

Anyone able to price match the Pro 256gb before applying the $1300 discount?

    • Waiting for some insights on this too.. few were able to get it done with the ipad deals. But I wonder how did they manage to convince the cs 🤔

    • price match with whom? Costco?

    • +1

I bought a 128gb iPhone 15 pro. They price-matched it. Also I got a 1388 voucher not a 1300. Don't know why. Rest of $291 was paid using gift cards. And they didn't care about the colors. Was able to chose any color.

      = $1679 - $1388 = $291
      https://www.mobileciti.com.au/apple-iphone-15-pro

      • Morning mate, would mind to share your receipt? Thanks

      • +2

well, $1388 IS what the promotion offers.

If you go to page 2, it says "The $1388 off the purchase price of Apple iPhone 15 Pro 128GB". https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0024/9803/5810/files/JB_HI…

It is a bit confusing as it also says the device fee is $449, but essentially if you factor in the JBHIFI price ($1837), you will see the $449 is actually calculated this way: $1837-$1388=$449.

As you managed to price match, you were paying correctly: $1679 - $1388 = $291. @New for OZB no need to show the receipt the most important thing is to make sure Mobileciti's price is still available.

        Great deal!

  • Do you earn Telstra Plus points on the $800?

    • No. Unless you have an existing telstra account on old system.

      • And if you do then yes you do

    • -1

other comments are incorrect, no TGG/JB plans give you telstra points

      • Those with older JB plans that normally earn points do. Last couple of times I’ve signed up to these deals I’ve ended up with another $20-$30 value in points.

  • If you cancel or move to a lower cost/different plan then you must pay a Voucher Repayment Fee to Telstra pro-rated against the remaining months of your plan’s minimum term.

    deal CIS

    For IP15Pro 256GB $2037.
    $99 + $737 ($2037-$1300) + $766.66(Cancel) = $1602.66

    For 512GB $2387
    $99 + $1087 ($2387-$1300) + $766.66 = $1952.66

    $800 x (remaining months / 24)

this is from the plan CIS regarding $99 per month plan where it states the $800 is the maximum repayment fee

    iPhone 15 128GB $99 (first month plan) + $766.66 (cancellation voucher) = $865.66
    iPhone 15 Pro 128GB $865.66 + 449 = $1314.66
    iPhone 15 Pro MAX 256GB $865.66 + 799 = $1664.66
    Any other iPhone 15 series $865.66 + (Device price - $1300)

  • Would it be worth getting an Ipad Air M2 using this deal?

99 plan with 1000 voucher and the cancelation repayment would be 800.

    Thoughts?

    • Not as good as it was before

  • +1

Is it mandatory to port your number or can I get a new number as above mentioned the intention is to cancel the contract? If yes what's the cheapest PP number you can get?

    • I'm wondering the same.

    • can get a new number I'm pre sure

  • -1

Does anyone know if the phone will be locked to Telstra? Looked up online and seems to be another $80 to unlock if on the plan for less than 6 months. Thanks!

    • +2

Pretty sure iPhones are never locked these days

    • What is this locking that you speak of 90s person

+ cancellation $800 in store just looked

    Thoughts?

  • Anyone know if JB will match Amazon for the iPhone 15pro?

    https://www.amazon.com.au/Apple-iPhone-15-Pro-128/dp/B0CHX7Z…

    • They do but only Amazon AU, not third party sellers.

    • +1

the price for Pro 128gb is $449 under this offer so they may not match it.

  • Will the receipt have the discounted price (for TRS / Tax). Vaguely remember a pixel deal a while ago which had the full price of the device

    • +3

Purchased earlier and it shows the full current price. Make sure to ask for your full name to be added to the receipt for TRS purposes.

      • does the receipt also say paid using gift card(the amount JB gives as discount)

  • Beaten by comment above me!

    • How do I cancel via app?

  • Planning to go in to JB tomorrow to get the base model.

Do I have to transfer my number from my current SIM, or can I simply register a new SIM when I go in? I'm on a boost prepaid plan so don't want to lose my 12 months prepaid credit…

    • You can opt for a new number if plan to cancel it later. Otherwise they don't let you transfer from boost as it's Telstra provider

    • +2

Got an iPhone 15 for $766…Thanks OP!

I didn’t even have to ask about getting a refund on the first month; I just asked if my SIM would be active for the rest of the month if I cancelled now and he offered to refund since it was the first day. :)

      • Unreal. How did you do this? Through phone call or chat?

  • Is it possible to exchange phone to different model. I got the 15 but tempting to exchange it with 15 plus. If yes, how much I have to pay?

I haven't opened the box yet

    Thanks

  • +2

If price matching is a thing with this deal isn't it worth waiting for 2 more days for Amazon Prime Day to see if there are any better prices for IP

    • Hit and miss with the price matching from what the comments. Depending on which model to get too. I’m planning on getting the base iPhone 15, so price matching would be irrelevant in my case.

Bought iphone 15 yesterday. All worked. Cancelled later on. Paid $766. So got an iphone 15 for $865. Amazing deal

      • Thru jb hifi app

        • Did you get a new number?

          • @Madfrega: Yes, new number. But cancelled it already. The rep was suggesting to keep it for a month and cancel it. But decided not to.

@ashsan: Then just chucked old sim
In and good to go yeah?

If you already have a jbhifi/ Telstra plan , can you just sign up for a new number with the intent to cancel for this deal?

  • Since this is only available for new customers/new numbers, has anyone been able to port their number over to their new plan after ?

    • Would you not just put your other sim in?

      • Want to keep my existing number. Trying to see if I can not cancel the new plan and avoid the cancellation fee.

  • If I cancel on the day I sign up do I get charged $99 monthly fee?

    • Maybe they learnt from the ipad sales experience

    • yes, you get charged at the time of order.

  • Yes just got the phone but customer service not budging on the $99 which is paid upfront

  • JB app chat is asking for the mobile number to cancel. Do i need to activate the service first before we could cancel?

    • The Mobike no I gave when they were setting up the AC it could also go to your email

      • Thanks mate. All sorted.

Just went through this process as I bought my iPhone 11 Pro on Kogan and I got a model which was from Hong Kong so it is not compatible with Australian 4G and with 3G switching off I urgently needed a new phone.

Went into the store asking for an iPhone 15 Pro, and immediately the store attendant offered me the $99 Telstra plan. They had printed posters of the deal hanging up. I told them I was interested, paid the $99 for the mobile plan for the month (got a new sim with a new number, my current plan is with Amaysim which uses Optus so I was a "new customer") and then paid $449 for the phone itself. I asked them if they would price match, but they said it's a fixed price on the phone through this deal so no luck there.

I checked in about the process of cancelling the plan with the attendant and they said you can do it in person, over the phone or live chat with JB, or via chat or over the phone with Telstra.

Came home and went on live chat with Telstra (since it was 7pm when I got back and JB support is closed for today). Told them I wanted to cancel the plan, they told me about the $766.66 cancellation fee I needed to pay. I enquired if the $99 could be refunded as I made the purchase earlier today and had not put the sim in my phone or used it at all. To my surprise the agent said yes they will refund the $99, it is currently pending, however once the payment goes through they would issue the $99 refund.

I've read a few people saying some support agents would not budge on the $99. Maybe try going through Telstra support and not JB since that worked for me.

    • The support agent asked me to go in store to get the refund today, i think they wisen up against up ozbargainers

    • Thanks for the tip! First Telstra agent said no refund but just tried again with next agent and they said they can refund the $99.

  • In the process of executing this deal for a family member. I was told in store they won't refund the first month, either way, it'll work out cheaper than buying it outright.

Edit: will try cancel via telstra as per evilgenius advice 🫡

Thanks for the post OP, very happy to have picked up the 15 yesterday.
Took in an Aldi SIM and was able to activate that then port the new number in. Bit of mucking around putting the new SIM in and out but the staff member was great.
Paid the $99 first month in store then got home and cancelled via app.
Wasn’t able to get the $99 refunded but no issue cancelling.
Then received an invoice from JB mobile for $765.
Very happy with the process, thanks for everyone’s advice above :)

    • +1

How did you pay the cancel fee of $765? the invoice email link does not show anything atm. Were you able to make payment?

      • By default, I believe it charges the card you set up for the upfront plan.

      • I just clicked on the invoice link and you're right it doesn't seem to be available yet…maybe it will be at the end of the first billing cycle?

    • did you try to cancel via telstra?

      • No i did it through the JB app…I only saw the above comments later :(

  • Anyone have issues signing up? I’m in store now and stuck on loading screen to get payment details. Apparently has been happening since this morning.

    • I had the same issue, so i gave my card details instead the bank ones already in the myid telscra, and it worked

      • They placed it on a provision order for me but apparently it wasn't working as of 3 pm today. Did they just give you a call that it worked?

    • Jb hifi in westfield chatswood said to add payment method onto telstra account before submitting order. My order went through no problems around 5pm

      • So once they create the Telstra account you added payment in then got them to finalise the order?

        • yes thats right. My telstra profile had to have a payment method saved (credit card), then process the order. Also I've cancelled the plan and telstra chat says they will refund the $99 but will take 24-72hours to show.. hopefully its good.

          • @googoogaga: I logged in to the Telstra account that I registered with them in-store (I registered for a new number) and I can't seem to add a payment method when I log in. It says there's no active services on the payment tab. Was your service already linked when you logged in?

I might even try and give them a call today and see if it's working again.

            • @Killua27: The payment method thing was done in-store at JB Hifi to make sure the $99 goes through.

My service was not showing in my Telstra app too, it is in the JB Mobile app.

              • @googoogaga: Thanks. I just called them and they were able to put it through for me. Will pick up the phone tomorrow. Not sure whether to cancel Telstra now or wait until I have my phone in hand.

  • Is the pro camera worth the extra $?

  • if you don't cancel immediately when will you be charged for next month fee, anyone knows? cheers
