msy low end… harvey norman at the high end

  • damn, out of stock already?

  • Looks OK. Be nice if it was darker in colour. But I have a sit/stand desk and one of my monitors is on a swing arm. It tends to wobble a bit when the desk is slightly shaken. I'd be worried that with 2 monitors on one clamp then it'd wobble quite a bit?

    • I've a 32" and 27" on a dual arm on a sit stand desk. 32" wobbles a bit when I bump the desk, but not a worrying amount.

  • How do I check stock without having to try one by one?

Multiple single arms are generally better than a double arm. More flexibility. Unless you absolutely hate having multiple clamps id I'd go a two singles.

yeah also easier to move around

    • Exception would be the pole style ones, since you have more flexibility in sliding it up/down.

    • I’ve got a sit stand desk and wonder if multiple would be better for reducing monitor wobble. I have two monitors but only one on an arm. I wouldn’t mind one of them mounts that has the horizontal beam behind the two monitors but again they are single desk clamp usually.

  • Thanks, bought one hopefully does the job for me. Didn’t even check if it is suitable for my 27” Dell , fom memory it is vesa 100 x100 or sth

FWIW The "knock off" ebay monitor stands are legit, been using one for years now on my desk, and I've got my 55" TV on a wall mount one. I don't reckon I paid more than $30 each. I feel like these things come out of the same factory but get priced up 500% with brand names.

    • Can you share a link of one?

  • I’ve had this model for years and love it. I paid $150 for this and have a 32” and 28” monitor on it. Holds up fine and flexible

  • Thanks! Got 2 more. I have about 10 of these in workplace and they are more stable than others in similar price range. This is well worth it even with shipping cost.

The only disadvantage is that it may take more space behind the desk as the arms are long and depending on position and size of screen, it needs to be folded in a "W" shape.

  • Struggling to use this with my glasses table top

    • depending on how keen you are on aesthetics (or, how well you can hide it), use wood strips on either side to ensure the clamp is not directly on the glass

      • I've a monitor arm clamped to the glass desk using cork coasters as a buffer material ($2.50 from KMart). Once you have it set up, you can then cut the cork down to just the size of the clamp and it essentially disappears. Just don't over tighten the clamps with the glass.
