Original Coupon Deal

Very similar to https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/855229, but with the additional quirk that you can mix & match from several different listings to get the variety and best prices for each. $12.43 per roll delivered is absurdly cheap (sorry Sidd!)

NOT ALL LISTINGS HAVE THE SAME ITEMS FOR THE SAME PRICE!

For example, the wood filament here is $37.83, but the wood filament here is $29.91 and they are BOTH eligible for the combo deal. You need to check all the listings if there are better double-ups.

I managed to get a wide variety of fancy filaments including a marble, wood, TPU, and some dual colour ones for about $120 delivered which unlike the 'Sunlu_Official' store will happily do free delivery to my rural address without a fuss, and they all still sent from the same 'G2/391 Park Road, Regents Park NSW, Australia' address as their other seller accounts.

You'll know the deal applies when your cart changes from 'save up to 30%' to 'Buy 5 get 3 free'. I think it only works with exactly 8 rolls in cart; more and it will swap back to the lesser 30% off.

  • Deal not for PLA+ :/

    • +1

      PLA+ is here

The OzB link should show the 11 listings, PLA+ has it in the image so it's clear

  • +4

    oh..i shouldnt

…ah what the hell why not

    • How much did you buy through the other post a d this one now? Lol

      • +2

nah i didnt buy any in that post, didnt have enough to make up 10 (i have over 30 rolls as is…)
but the sunlu dual colour ones look great

        • +1

Sunlu dual silk is my go to for the kids stuff now - you can see the colour transition for fidget toys and the like much better than the rainbow (which takes much longer to transition colours)

          • +1

@aragornelessar: looking forward to doing some dual silks, just did my first rainbow print yesterday and can definitely see the appeal for kids stuff

    • bro i havent even bought the pritner yet and already window shopping for filament lol

      • eh put it this way, if you definitely getting a printer, you're gonna need filament one way or another.
though i will say if you havent got printer yet, might be worth hanging out for a 20% off code instead.

amazon prime day period next week - i would be surprised if ebay did not do something to try and combat it

        • oh very true

          ill wait a week then

Thanks OP! I hate how there's so much variation in pricing and differences in deals (Eg Buy 6, 4 free / buy 5, 3 free) so appreciate this find!

    • +1

After looking at the pricing in the other deal I realised that Sunlu were playing Jack with their own pricing, assuming you wouldn't shop around between their own listings. Glad to help!

  • +1

I actually mixed and matched a bunch last night but didn't think to post it. Got pla+, matte and silk. Thanks op.

Added 6 Dual/Tri Colour silks and two PLA’s to cart but couldn’t get it to switch over to Buy 5 Get 3. Likely user error. Not too much of an issue will just add a couple more silks and do another other for PLA’s. $8.98 delivery to Perth, still solid!

    Thanks OP

  • +1

Ended up getting buy 3 get 2 free! Also stacks with ebay plus 17% discount.
    Thanks OP

    • Hey mate, what did you add to get Buy 3 get 2 free to pop? Cheers

  • +1

Thanks for this! It's a good excuse for me to try some of the 'novelty' colours!

  • $15.42 is the cheapest I seem to be able to get PLA/PLA+ white for :(
This includes a $8.98 delivery fee.

BTW, how do you find deals such as this on eBay? Are you somehow registered with the seller?

    • +1

Nah, I just saw the other deal yesterday and shopped around for similar Sunlu seller accounts that would actually ship to me.

Once you're on a seller's store page like this, you can click the 'Sale' tab near their About and Feedback tabs and it shows you their various sales; these specific sales don't clash with the eBay-wide codes so you can double-up on the discounts in a sense.

You could also try the 'Sunlu-Shop' seller to see if those listings have better value or free shipping for you.

      • +1

        ok cool cheers

  • I wish this deal had come out earlier.

Buy EVEN MORE FILAMENT and use dollar-cost averaging to nullify your remorse!

      • Bye bye tax refund!

  • oo interesting..

    Another 8 rolls incoming

    The duo/triple look great.

One of the listings has the triple at $52 so make sure to get it from the other listing.

  • I've primarily been using eSUN PLA+ and silk on a BL P1S.

How does the Sunlu PLA and silk go? Does anyone have any experiences they'd like to share?

    • I and many others on here have had no issues with the Sunlu & JAYO filaments,

      meta, matte & silks

  • Does the wood PLA require a hardened nozzle? Or is it different to the regular 'wood' type filaments and just a look alike PLA so to speak?

    • Yes, it's abrasive so hardened nozzle.

      What printer are you using?
Worth doing anyway since it opens you up to using other filaments like marble, glow in the dark

    • I picked up some wood as I've always wanted to try printing some wood look stuff. Arrived today and it just looks like a light brown… so it'll be interesting to see how it comes out. I thought it would look like the marble does - with specks that resemble the marbling/wood grain, but its just a plain light brownish colour from the outside of the roll

      • I got one roll as well, I think it's a fine texture

        https://www.sunlu.com/collections/wood

        • Yeah it looks like some sort of grain/roughness in the pics, but it just looks smooth in the packaging I got.. will have to wait and see. At this price though it's same as regular PLA so I'll just use it as a light brown if there's no grain look

          • @aragornelessar: Yeah, I had another look at the roll as well and it definitely doesn have wood grain look.

            • @impoze: So I did print last night with the Sunlu wood filament using generic PLA settings, external to the AMS as I knew it'd be abrasive and don't see any graining - just looks like a light brown unfortunately. I don't feel any more of a wood texture vs plastic texture either.

Noticed a burning smell when I went in there to grab the print though and upon further research (which I probably should've done beforehand haha), its likely to have wood filament in there and burn if you don't extrude the remaining filament at the end - as the heat in the nozzle will burn the wood fibers.

Something to keep in mind when you use yours in case you hadn't looked into it!

Got my delivery in less than 20 hrs to south-west Syd… unfortunately wife has now seen it and banned me from more filament. "If you can't fit it on the shelf, you can't buy it"… guess I need a bigger shelf/print more stuff!

    • Nice, mine being delivered today together with the Jayo order.

  • Received and unboxed. The dual & triple silks look great.

Two of the rolls are on dark blue reusable spools compared to the usual black spools.

I wonder if they will be stocking refills soon then

    • +1

For bambu usersn the reusable spools fit the AMS lite

      https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLab/s/SN6NPeQ1CJ

      • I got some spools on marble filament that look like that blue one, but mine's clear.. wonder if its the same.. doesnt have the 'detachable and reusable' label on it though. The rest were the older black spools.
